We were going to use them but as the weeks passed something changed each time we spoke. First the loan amount was decreased- but not the monthly payment. Then we were told that projects that we started before appraisal wouldn’t effect anything- nope gotta be finished for the appraisal to be done, then they tried to say what bills were would pay with our equity. My husband called and told them that we would not be doing the loan due to family issues which was true- I needed to leave the state to take care of my mom. While I was gone we were approach by another loan company that offered better financing $10000 less in loan fees and they were not pushy. So we agreed to go with the new company. Brandon from Federal Savings then got mad and sent us a text which we ignored - we already told him we were done. The less the 24 hours later he felt that it was professional to call us cowards.yeah we won’t be dealing with them ever!

WORST EXPERINCE OF MY LIFE. We have a perfect payment history we used Miles who informed me to not pay my Feb or March payment since we would be closing. Week after week he prolonged one thing or another. Stating we were all good. Then when I would check in it would be "oh we need you to pay this. Now we also need this," We did this song and dance for WEEKS. Then he proceeds to tell me we would need to make both house payments to catch up..... Then he told me he never told me to not make the payments. so I sent screenshots. I have done this process 4 times in my life and I dont know why I risked this. Now my credit has went from a 720 to a 520 due to his neglect. They will not hold any fault! Ruined my credit by listing to this idiot. Any advice on suing this company because this is absolutely the worst thing. To make matters worse we were doing this because of a death in the family and desperately needing to use our equity. DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!

Miles did an incredible and astonishing job with my refinance on our home. From start to finish, he was very professional and very knowledgeable on all mortgage terms and VA. He was honest and worked with me on my schedule. He was there to help and never forced any decision on us. From all the places I shopped, he offered me better numbers and interest that worked best for my little family. We are truly grateful for the whole federal savings bank team who lend a hand in helping out with our refinance. I highly recommend this place to any veterans looking for honest advice or help. The guys with Federal Savings Bank were AMAZING!!! Anthony, Noah, and Steven were wonderful. They helped us from start to finish. Great communication throughout the process. We closed in under 30 days. Our money and checks were there before expected. It was great not having to leave the house to sign anything. The notary was able to come to us. We Highly recommend this company.

The Federal Savings Bank claims to be privately owned by veterans but they might want to check those who work for them and how they treat other veterans. I typically don't answer unsolicited calls about refinancing/insurance calls. This was honestly the first time I had even entertained the idea. I have owned my home for seven years and have a 3.2% interest rate. Not to bad and at the same time I have paid off 25,000. Mr. Collin Sommer of The Federal Savings Bank talked a good game in the very beginning but left out some very pertinent information. Not once during the first conversation did I tell him we were all about doing this refinancing scenario. I in fact had to tell him to slow down that my husband and I needed to at least talk about it first but to give me a call the next morning. He agreed to call me at 10 am my time. That call did not come in the morning but instead in the afternoon. Fine not a big deal but then I decided to ask some very important questions after realizing that they had not been discussed before. What was the new percentage rate going to be and how much was the loan exactly going to be. So first I find out the loan is going to be over 6% and the loan would be for 420,000. Sure it would be a cash out to pay off debt but not a necessity for our family. So to say I was shocked that my percentage would be doubled and my new mortgage would go up a thousand dollars a month. Mr. Sommer was like well don't you want basically a free refi. So I asked him to provide me an email with the break down. I don't know something was nagging at me with doubling the percentage and increasing my mortgage monthly. I called Mr. Sommer again that day and told him I just didn't think that it work for us and again he got kinda pushy acting as if I am an idiot for not doing it and decided to break it down a different way. I got both emails very quickly when I asked for them so that was a positive. When my husband got home that evening we had discussed both options Mr. Sommer had presented and just decided this was not a smart move no matter how you tried to change the numbers or get rid of some debt. We decided I would go Mr. Sommer the next day to let him know that we were just not interested in completing the refinance (although I'll be honest and say that I don't think we ever let on that we were a for sure deal). The very next day I call Mr. Sommer to apologize to him but that we were just not interested but that I had appreciated all the work he had done. It was nothing against him or The Federal Savings Bank it just didn't make sense to double the percentage and raise our mortgage. I could barely get out what I was saying before Mr. Sommer started to interrupt and tell me that we had expressed how we excited we were about doing this and telling him 20 different times that we couldn't wait (none of that is the truth). I tried several times to tell him "I'm sorry I am just not interested right now". Over and over Mr. Collin Sommer continued to interrupt me and got ruder with his tone. I finally had to tell him I am 43 I know what I am doing that this wasn't anything against him. He hung up on me. I work in a customer service business and could never imagine hanging up on maybe a potential future client (that could have been possible because we were interested in it someday) or for that fact any of the people I work with daily. I decided I would address the rudeness he displayed when he hung up on me in a email. There was no cursing but I did tell him that it was completely unprofessional. I thought hey maybe I would get at least an apology (that is something that I would do no matter how I felt about the situation) but instead he continue to show how unprofessional he is and never even answer (and sure maybe he didn't have too but maybe that is what is wrong with today). I decided I would call the company and make a complaint. And even getting a call from them I had to hear that's not typically his behavior and I'll have to validate by listeni
