If I could give them 0 stars I would. So the one star is for the friendly people at the branch, because that is the SINGLE good thing that i can say for them. Only put your money here if you never need to have access to it. Fraud department supervisors do not speak English, call for EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION, and then return payment and shut down your card with no reissue. Sound crazy?! If only it were just my account.

The rudest and most unprofessional people; Very argumentative, very unprofessional. We literally just tried to get basic information on our account and was treated very disrespectful. So much for giving a new credit union business.

I think they service customer pretty well here. Not much waiting in line. They always are trained & completely understanding their jobs.

You can not reach a person by phone. It transfers and then cuts you off. So much for switching to them. Too bad but other reviews have said the same

Do not get a car loan from this place. They have no morals at all. I recently bought a 2014 cx-5 and found out that I have to have surgery next week where it’ll be a lot of money and will be out of work for a few months. I tried returning the car not even 24hrs after buying and was told they won’t take it back even though the financing paperwork was not completed yet. I will be making a video detailing the situation as well. Do not go here. Managers have no morals at all. It’s under their discretion to accept returns and they do not under any circumstances apparently.

Conveniently located in Paseo Village Shopping center, West of Walgreens, South of Starbucks, TruWest Credit Union has a covered drive through. The employees are friendly, helpful and quick to acknowledge when you walk through the door. I'm in the process of closing on a HELOC and they have been extremely easy to work with, detail focused and service oriented. Please click ? if this was helpful.

They were nice when I visited, but good luck trying to call in or getting any help outside of that.Wire transfers also don't post same day even though they were made early morning.

Stay away from this CU - I have banked with TruWest for several years but am afraid I am going to be closing my account. I am currently traveling internationally and lost one of my credit cards so needed to use another card that I did not know was linked to one of my TruWest bank accounts. I though it was linked to another account I have that had plenty of funds.. Within a few weeks I received numerous overdraft charges from TruWest without any text or email notifications. When I called the customer service they did little to nothing to try and help me correct these charges. They told me I did not receive alerts because I did not have them set up. I said I don't understand who would not want to be alerted to over $700 of banking fees.. they told me I would be surprised that a lot of people don't want to be alerted.. To my knowledge I have never had an overdraft charge in the history of having my account with TruWest. I feel it's pretty extraordinary to have 21 overdraft charges and I was really hoping for extraordinary customer service to help me deal with this issue and perhaps the ability to make a one-time exception to their 3 max reversal policy. Instead I was greeted by very uncaring customer service where I was hung up on once and later was told I would be receiving a call from a manger to further discuss what they might be able to do to help me in this situation, however that call never came, which furthers my suspicion that TruWest TruLy does not care about their customers and truly enjoys collecting profits on these type of technical difficulties. Their website is antiquated and hard to use and if it wasn’t I would probably have set up such alerts. Very strange that in an era of covid and financial difficulties a lot of people are having they would just shun customers in this way. Very disappointed in TruWest.

This CU does not have a professional infrastructure. Phone support has been experiencing unusually high volumes for my whole 3 years. On-line banking doesn't work as much as it does. Phone support is inept and has limited functionality. I just don't see any reason to bank here when there are two CU's with more branches and higher customer service nearby. My frustration reached it's end point this week while trying to make a simple change of address. I'm convinced that I'll be able to switch to Desert Financial with less hassle than getting that change accomplished.

If I could give zero stars I would! I'm so upset with their staff on the phone system. They have no idea what they are doing, PLEASE invest in some advanced training for your employees. Now, to my complaint, I have made my payments 100% on time for the entirety of my credit history. They decide to send a notice for a late payment for this past January. IT WAS NOT LATE. I am so upset with how this credit union is managed. Once my car loan is paid off I will NEVER do banking here again. Take my word for it, DO NOT ever attempt to open an account, apply for a loan or trust this bank for any investments.

One star is too good for this horrible credit union. I had two explosions and fire in my garage July of this year. My car was totaled and unfortunately my car loan was with TruWest. Your credit union knew that the loan would be totally paid my the insurance company and gap insurance, but TruWest did not want to wait. My monthly payment about $350 a month. However, when TruWest employees heard about that my car was totaled they demanded full payment and they wanted it now!!!! Never were the employee sympathetic to my predicament. No one asked how I was doing even though I was in the explosion and they were aware of it. The sense of lost and displacement is incredible when something like this happens. Sad that TruWest has hired vengeful and nasty employees. I tried to explain I couldn't give them extra money that would be returned back to me later because I needed to put food on the table, get a car and find a place to live. Their employees didn't care. TruWest employees put on my credit report that I had not paid my bills with TruWest. My credit rating was over 830 not it is 714. Don't know how many years this will stay on my credit report. Sad that a credit union works this dishonestly and I am the one who suffers. I am exhausted and stressed to my limit in trying to get this corrected. First, I had to endure you horrible employees constantly calling me yelling and threats. Sending emails and letters demanding me to pay on something I never owe. I don't understand why you give your employees so much power to destroy lives. TruWest really should have a reviewing policy before you kill someone's credit and put them through this kind of hell. After the insurance companies paid TruWest in full, this company decided it wasn't fast enough and charged me interest for the couple of months it took the insurance to fully pay off the car. Note: TruWest was paid $20,000 in the first month, but that was not good enough. When I told them this covered my $350 monthly payment, I was informed that the $20,000 was applied somewhere else and I must pay the balance now! DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AND STAY AWAY FROM TRUWEST!

This place blows. Unreasonable insane covid based closure. Inefficient ineffective drive through service only or appointments. They should notify customers via text or email when they shut down branches. So people don't waste time driving to shut down branches. Annoying and Not smart.
