Went above and beyond to help me replace lost earrings. They are beautiful and really well made, would happily shop there again in the future.

Cute shop with reasonable prices on local artist made jewelry. The shaded courtyard just outside in a nice relief from the heat too

I had a fantastic experience at caravana jewelry. The gentleman working there was so accommodating and let me try on all sorts of things. I ended up purchasing a pair of hammered copper earrings that an artisan in Arizona made. I just love them and they were very reasonable.

I regret spending any money at Caravana Jewelry. I was enjoying Tlaquepaque immensely before walking into this store. As soon as my sisters and I walked into the store, the woman at the register had her eyes on us. She was chatting with the rest of the customers like every other Tlaquepaque artist had talked to us, friendly, open, and excited to share their art with us. I think this woman said her name was Cosette. At the front of the store, Caravana has these gorgeous dyed ribbons. My sisters and I wanted to purchase one each. The price for the ribbons wasn’t listed, so we asked Cosette what the cost was. She told us that they were $14 each, but also mentioned that there was a bucket of “oops” ribbons that were $3. These ribbons were too short, sewed improperly, etc. obviously, my sisters and I went to check out the cheaper bucket. There were two beautiful blue ones in the midst of a pile of plain black ones.. We decided to just purchase the two blue “oops” ribbons, as my third sister decided she didn’t want to pay $14 for a regular ribbon or $3 for a plain black one. My other sister and I were excited about the deal we were getting, for ribbons that looked just as beautiful as the rest. When we reached the counter to pay, Cosette inspected each ribbon carefully. Instead of the friendly chatter the other customers receieved, she regarded us with suspicion. She told us that the ribbons looked perfect and that she was surprised they were in the “oops” bin. We agreed, they were gorgeous! She responded by saying “well I didn’t put them in the bucket and we’ll leave it at that.” She was essentially alleging that we had lied about them being in the Oops bin to get the cheaper price. As soon as we paid our six dollars, I felt sick to my stomach. My sisters and I left the store and they looked at me in unison and said “she definitely thought we were stealing.” The fact that she assumed that we were stealing truly hurt my heart, and my sisters as well. As women of color, we wondered if we looked suspicious to her because of our skin tone. Why else would she have been so kind to the other customers, all white, and so immediately suspicious of the three of us? Every other artist at Tlaquepaque looked at my sisters and I, in our early twenties, and knew we wouldn’t have the type of money to purchase their art. Nevertheless, they showed us their art, answered our questions, and shared stories about collecting, all with smiles on their face. Cosette absolutely ruined our experience by being suspicious of enthusiastically paying customers. If you’re looking for jewelry there are several other places in Tlaquepaque with stunning jewelry and kind artists who aren’t suspicious of women of color.

I wondered into this jewelry store after having lunch next door. It was packed with customers and the manager (owner?) worked steadily to answer questions and to cheerfully help anyone who needed it. I appreciated he did so in an unobtrusive manner, without any high-pressured sales. The jewelry ranged from ribbon wraps of many different fabrics and types of buckles serving as bracelets and necklaces, which looked to be their specialty; copper and sterling silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets; and some gemstone earrings. Those ranged from amethyst to pink quartz. I wish there had been more of a range in price point outside the wrap bracelets, which were about $40. The lowest priced jewelry I saw were earrings at about $60. The Tlaquepaque Shopping Village does offer merchandise on the higher end, so, as I learned, be prepared to spend a bit more. I purchased a pair of beautiful $65 sterling silver earrings with laborite. I can't wait to wear them.

Nice, but no storyteller figurines. Found two upstairs at another southwestern gift shop with wonderful authentic native american art/jewelry, etc.

The service here is unparalleled! You have a question, a comment or just want to chat? These people will welcome you in and make you smile! The jewellery itself is beautiful, varied and you can find some gorgeous unique pieces here and (as for some complicated bracelets) the staff will help you put them on and show you how to wear them. A beautiful small store with pure friendly people. Definitely pass by!

One of two Caravana shops, this one located in the north section of the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in Sedona. Both stores carry their signature silk wrist wraps, but this one otherwise has a greater focus on apparel, featured in a bright, sun lit space with rooms and mirrors to try on. Said wrist wraps first drew us into the shop in the form of colorful silk ribbons adorning a mannequin bust at the door. These ribbons, dyed in rich, sophisticated shades, solid or ombre, with contrasting or matching borders, in smooth or textured silk, are beautiful to behold. These can be used for necklaces (when combined with pendants) and bracelets (when combined with a buckle). The bracelets, or wrist wraps, have an ingenious design. Composed of a ribbon looped into a buckle, wrapped twice around a wrist and looped into the buckle like a button to secure, it is easily adjustable for any wrist size. They are seemingly endlessly interchangeable by combining any ribbon and with any of multiple buckle designs, which have patterns that can invoke waves or flowers, and one that has imprints of cactus skeletons. The ribbons are washable and easy to care for. The owner and designer, Melissa, happened to be at this store location, and it was terrific to learn about these pieces from her. It was irresistible to buy multiple ribbons and buckles, and I suspect I'll be buying more from her online store.
