Never Again!!! I booked last minute calling on a Wednesday asking if there was any availability for tomorrow (Thursday), they said yes, room 21 was available. We get there on Thursday, they let us check in early at 2:00pm, the room was beautiful and for a greater rate! Jacuzzi tub, private patio, secluded from the main road, closer to the creek. So we drop off our stuff after a long hike and make our way to Sedona (about at 20min drive). We get there and are parked at the restaurant when I get a call. “We need the keys back, we accidently checked you in, you’re booked for tomorrow, another family has room 21.” WHAT!!! The woman at the front desk spent 10 min on the phone with me saying she thought I said Friday, and when I checked in she thought I said a different name. Didn’t apologize once and didn’t offer me another room, they were at full capacity. Well, when I checked in she never checked ID, and she blamed the child who was running around the front office/behind the desk trying to pass out keys on why there was a mistake. Again, no apology or responsibility taken on their part. When we get back, we have to take our belongings out of the room, and return the keys. There is a man there who makes a phone call and says he can get us into a comprobable room, room #5 (which was supposed to be DNR, which I can only assume means “do not reserve.” This one still has a jacuzzi and fire place but no private patio, so in my eyes a downgrade. We had to wait while they cleaned it so we left. We finally go to lunch and spend a few hours in town and head back, exhausted. We park and are getting our things out of my truck, ready to go into room 5 (which he gave us a key to) and he pops out of the office and tells us “we have another change, someone was already in room 5, you guys will be in room 3. There was some shotty book keeping while I was gone and I tried to call you but our phones weren’t working.” Well ok, at this point 3 hours away from home at 6:30 pm what are we going to to??This room sucks. No jacuzzi, no fireplace, paint chipping across the wall, huge bug crawling across the bathroom floor, and right next to the office, so we directly next to the main road. Norman Bates could have put us in a better room.I hope we are compensated appropriately, but I doubt that will happen. This has been an awful experience. Two thumbs down, definitely not a romantic trip to the woods anymore.

These crooks knew that the road to their property was closed due to construction on the night of our stay. I called the front desk and the man says "it will be open by 4pm." It wasn't. Therefore, we were turned away by a construction worker. A reasonable and ethical merchant would refund the $208.46 for one night's stay. How many people ask the front desk when making a reservation if the road is open to get there? NOBODY! Contesting the charge with my credit union. Shameful.

We booked on short notice and were pleasantly surprised. The value for the rate (inexpensive) was excellent; the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The fireplace and jacuzzi were nice touches. The bathroom was small but functional. The staff was friendly and helpful - even letting use the fishing poles and tackle for no charge. The location was great as were the grounds. We fished in the creek behind the cabins. Overall it was an excellent experience if you're passing through.

We spent 2 days here and we wont ever be going back again. Not sure who,s running the place but it seemed like a bunch of kids. Check in time was 3:00 pm and we got there at that time. Was told the room was not cleaned so we had to wait. Well no one started to even clean the room till 3:30 so we had to wait in a cramped car till 4:30. Complained we were told we could leave an hour later. When we got in the Bungalow we had to park way away from there. Other people took our spot the whole stay. Got up the next day went to take a shower no hot water called the Office was told that other people used all the hot water up give it and hour and try again. Hour later tried again no hot water in the shower but had hot water in the kitchen sink. Already lost an hour so we left and when we got back still no hot water. Had to call the office 3 times before someone would answer. Sent the Maintenance Guy out at around 300 pm later that evening we had hot water back . We also had a problem we the duraflames logs I guess you get one free in the room but we had to pay 3.21 for each log if you wanted more. So we had 1 log we had brought with us that was wood BIG MISTAKE I didnt sign in my friend did and on the bottom it said in small letters if you burn real wood in the room you could be charged 200.00. I saw that driving down the hill going home. By the time we got home and check the credit card they already charge us. When we left there was no one on the office so we waited finally we could not track any one down just left the keys on the counter. Called and tried to talk to them some how all we heard from them there was a picture taken of the log and got hung up on. Note to self ::: read fine print. 800.00 2 day stay ugh.

Our reserved room was double booked, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and the main TV was damaged. The room we got was ok, but had no view and a very tiny kitchenette. The location is excellent, set back in the woods by Oak Creek.

We stay here every time we are in Sedona and it never disappoints. The creek is within walking distance and every room has a a bbq grill, hot tub and fireplace!!! Our favorite cabin is 16. We hike and do trails in Sedona and the hot tub is perfect for tired achy muscles. The resort isn't new but very qaint and its the perfect launch pad for Slide Rock and West Fork trails!

No one in office to check in. Long wait. No one in office during open hours in the morning to get coffee and cups for coffee maker in room. Cute in a messy sort of way.

We booked 3 nights and left after one. Our room was horrible. Might as well be camping. We came to Sedona for my husband's birthday and it was extremely disappointing to have such a bad experience! Bed was old and uncomfortable. Pillows were hard as rocks. We literally couldn't sleep the entire night! The shower is the size of an RV shower. NO storage anywhere for anything. The worst part was the toilet WOULDN'T flush!! The pictures on the website are very inaccurate. We asked to be refunded for the night. We had to cancel our pink jeep tour we had scheduled that day because we were so tired and then find another hotel and move all our stuff. They never refunded our money but said they would ask the manager and get back to us. Its been 2 days and we've heard nothing. Do not stay here.

We chose this place for the location. The floor had crumbs in the corners, something splashed on the wall next to the toilet. A useless jacuzzi( don't use them because of ba teria in the water lines after each use). No place to put clothes so you have to live out of your suite case. I took a shower walked across the room to put clothes on and by the time I got there my feet were black, ugh! This place is OK, it needs some TLC for sure. Take some of the Jacuzzis out and expand the bathroom and add a place to put clothes. We will return but get a larger room next time.Nearby activities: Short drive to Sedona, pretty property. Love the outdoor details and creek side seating.

It was an absolut good room for one night. But for this price the bed was smaller and the room thinner than expected. On the other hand, you had the opportunity to make a smart fire on a fireplace inside. Really awesome! We didn’t use the whirlpool, because it didn’t look so attractive to us.In conclusion, we would visit this apartment again.

We had a nice time here! Rooms were nice, everything inside was clean and functional. Parking can be tight. The river below is nice to sit by and check out the little fish swimming around in it. Would recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a spot to stay near slide rock park.

My wife and I booked a 3 night reservation based on positive reviews we had heard from friends. Unfortunately, the reviews were based on the cabins and not the smaller rooms that we had booked. When we checked into our "recently remodeled room" we were very disappointed to find the room had no closet, no chairs and a bathroom so small we had to sit crosswise on the toilet. In addition, the blinds did not give complete privacy and when the curtains were closed they covered the in wall A/C unit.Because of the inadequacy of the accommodations, we informed the front desk we were going to check out a day early and would like a refund for the 3rd night. We were told to come in to the office when we were ready to check out and it would be taken care of.To make a longer story short, we came to the office to check out and it was closed. Went for breakfast, came back and talked to the front desk and was informed the only person that could approve a refund was the manager. After repeated phone calls, an email to the resort, we have had no response.I contacted my credit card to dispute to charge and was finally successful in getting a refund after 1 month. Bottom line, not only were the accommodations inadequate but management did absolutely nothing to resolve my issue. In Sedona, there are certainly better options available than Oak Creek Terrace Resort.

Great for a weekend getaway. The resort offers a free pass to some of the nearby red rock scenic spots, but be mindful if you travel over a holiday weekend. It may be hard to find any parking to enjoy some of those activities. I went out in the morning on a weekday and found much better luck. There is a DQ across the street with a gift shop. Other restaurants are just a short drive back into town. There were several grills outside, and the room I stayed in had a mini fridge and microwave as well. The resort is nice. I was able to see the moon and stars from the back patio most nights. You'll most likely need to travel for any sunset or sunrise views. Again, this was easiest on a weekday morning. The fireplace and hot tub made for a very relaxing atmosphere. There is TV and free wifi if you are just not an outdoor person. The staff were very friendly and this resort was not too far from all the fun activities whether you're a nature person or just enjoy downtown shopping and tours. I recommend if you are looking for somewhere that you don't have to drive very far to see some of the towns main attractions, for a nice romantic getaway, or a nice family vacation.

We had such an amazing experience here! Such a perfect getaway surrounded by nature! The location on the creek was perfect and we can't wait to come back!
