While staying here in Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek with a friend and house sitting I had a delivery sent to me. The postal lady took it upon herself to NOT deliver my package and had it immediately sent back the very same day. They refuse to deliver any package if you are not previously listed. I travel all over the US and have never encountered this before. I went into the post office the very next day to have the package retrieved, as I know that can be done, and they refused to do so. They cited something about mail fraud issues. Just before coming to Sedona I was at my mom's house in Modesto, Ca. and there were no issues with receiving mail from the USPS while there. And I had not lived at that address since 1976!Meanwhile UPS has no problem making deliveries! Very frustrating.

One thing about the Village of Oak Creek - if we don't support something here, it WILL go away. Promise. As a VOC resident, I would vastly prefer to do my post office business here, not in West Sedona, not in Cottonwood, not in Camp Verde. This little post office is noticeably understaffed (not their fault), however, I have seen way more rude, abusive, and infantile behavior from customers rather than staff. The people at the counter ALWAYS apologize to me if I have had to wait in line at all, even if under a minute or two.I think these people have it rough, day in and day out. Even if I am mildly annoyed at service speed (I'm not perfect, for sure, and I can certainly be an entitled j***** the big picture to me is to appreciate the conveniences I can have here in the Village, and the people doing their best to deliver those conveniences.

Dropped off a package to be shipped out. The employee behind the counter seemed really nice. No complaints.

I had yet another package returned because the delivery person marked my house as vacant. I had an Amazon package delivered (obviously I ordered it 2 days prior), they delivered it and the the NEXT DAY (a Friday of course because they are close on the weekend) marked my house as vacant. She then took my package out of my mailbox and then returned it. This should be mail theft as far as I'm concerned. This is the 4th time this has happened to me in 6 months. I travel a lot for work. I expect my mail when I return - Total BS. Now I'm going to go buy a locking mailbox so they can't do this shut again!

It might be nice to change your hours so that people who have to work can actually use your services.

Lady is too lazy to walk to the back to get an urgent package that we’ve been waiting a month for. So now we have to wait all weekend. Wouldn’t be as insulting if she wasn’t so pitifully rude all the time

It's pretty sad that in such a nice city who's locals are all kind, that the town post office is egregious. I called in and spoke to what I then came to find out was the manager Dawn. Dawn's decorum and comport are horrific. She is rude, condescending and interrupts you every chance she can while you try to ask her anything or explain anything. Truly a shame, since you are a public servant and are supposed to help and serve customers. Shame on you, if you hate your job so much maybe find another one? Customers shouldn't be subjected to your abusive, rude, and humiliating tone. Do better.

New mail delivery person listed our house as vacant. We lived there for over 10 years. Went on a 8 day vacation. Forgot to ask to hold mail. All mail returned to sender. Not sure if it’s under staffing of staffing with new people or just laziness but getting your address marked vacant without notice is not cool, and can cause great disruption to your professional life as well. They could have sent me a notice, or held my mail, like they were supposed to, the process is that they leave you a note your box was full, it happens. Nope, neither happened. No reason to forgive this. Had to call file a case on day 11, then the postmaster called me and mail resumes. I understand it’s a rural post office, but really, step up your game, you slackers. Next complaint will be thru a lawyer and in the courts and evening news, if you want that sort of publicity we can arrange same. Not playing.

I had a good experience here. Hopefully those that gave bad reviews get better service here in the future…

I would like to say that I would have thought that the post office would look into this a little more. I now have missed my mail for the IRS the internal revenue service. These would have been my 1040 tax return for the year of 2020. Of which I have waited the full year to receive this piece of mail that is very important government documents as well as urgent. I want to say Dawn, Cliff, and Lisa give extremely poor customer service. They are careless and neglect the customers needs. I would not recommend this post office to anybody. Village of oak creek in Sedona Arizona poor service and even more poor customer service. I wish you guys well and a happy holiday. A happy and healthy new year, Lauren Ashley Levinson Sedona,AZ

I visited today to set up my new address. The young woman behind the counter was super helpful and proactive. She saw me searching for a pen and leaned over and handed me one. I’m glad this will be my local post office.

I have sent out several packages through this office. THe people work really hard there, with a nice attitude, and diligence. I'm so grateful we have a post office in the VOC.
