No. Both my mother and my sister see/saw him. He apparently does not believe in ordering labs, even for annual physicals, which consist solely of listening to the chest and tapping the knees. He always has students do an initial exam but then he never does anything or even takes their advice. I had to force him to order an xray of my mother's chest after a fall. Days later, we hadn't gotten the results so we called and the RECEPTIONIST read her the hospital report of 2 broken ribs, over the phone--and said nothing could be done (no checking with the doctor). He also doesn't believe in prescribing meds.I forced him to order labs for her which turned up any issues (35% functioning kidneys, etc.) My sis has needed an A1c test for over a year and somehow it can't get ordered. He ordered the WRONG labs for her surgery which then had to be cancelled because the correct ones couldn't be done in time.

I do not understand what is going on in Doctors Patels office. The front receptionist is very rude bitter and does not have the patience to continue to be working at the front desk. Most of Patels patients are of the elderly. The receptionist is very short tempered plan and simple doesn’t like to show basic human decency. I have voiced my concerns many times to Patel when I take my mother, yet I see no changes. It’s very said to say that Patel may be a good doctor, but the front desk is who gives the first impression and it’s not a good one. Even over the phone the receptionist is still very short and has said hurtful things. I’m sad to say I will be taking my mother elsewhere.

I'm not sure what happened to doctor Patel but his office has changed in the last few years. He used to be awesome but now his office is rude, discriminate, and dismissive. He prescribed me Xanax years ago and when I went to refill it his office called and said that he is refusing to refill it because I'm too old and have been on it too long. When my husband has been on it longer, is older, and is at a higher dose. When I asked for a partial refill to help taper off my prescription it was refused again but my husband was able to get his partially refilled.I was told that I have to go to the ER or urgent care and hope that they will give me a refill so I can safely taper off this medication safely.3 weeks ago my husband was sick and requested a Z pack and they sent it right over to his pharmacy with no issues. Now I'm sick and call for the same except I have to jump through hoops to get basic antibiotics. So if you're a man you'll get excellent treatment that is quick and efficient but if you're a woman you don't.Patel USED to be awesome but now it seems there office is actively discriminating with the medical care they give.

Dr. Patel has been my GP for a few years and though I don't need to go in very often, he takes his time with you in the room. A few months ago I emailed some concerns through the patient portal and he called me that evening and scheduled an appointment for me himself! Fantastic communication and caring manner.

My name is Carlos Acosta I had a horrible experience with them over a year ago, but I figured i'd give them one more chance. So Thursday I called the office around noon, they were on lunch so I left a message told them I'd call back after 230. They were very professional and called me after 230 to set an appointment. I got an appointment set for 1:20 on Friday then while i'm on the phone finishing up the appointment I keep getting another call so i answer it and its Dr Partell the head Dr there he stated he could get me in at 8am, which was better since I had a concerning issue. I told Dr. Patel that I just got off the phone with his office I have an appointment at 120 but 8 works better because my hand has been numb. So he changed it to 8am I get there 7:50 no one is there which is understandable. The front office ladies didn't arrive until 8 and unlocked the door until 805. I did all the paperwork they call me up saying there isn't a Dr there until 9am and I would need to set an appointment for another day or do a virtual appointment.

Very poor experience. We made an appointment for a post covid check up after being hospitalized. They cancelled the day of the appointment. Told us to wait 2 more weeks. We couldn't wait because meds were running out.

Disappointing experience. I was evaluated by a pleasant young woman who said she was a PA trainee. After she finished the doctor came in and spoke with me for no more than 2 minutes. I am a senior with severe balance issues and difficulty walking but he never observed these problems because he didn't have me get out of the chair. I was surprised that on my first visit to a gerontologist I would be evaluated by an unsupervised trainee. I did get a referral to a neurologist but cannot get an appointment for 2 months.

We first called the office when my wife was diagnosed with COVID. She could not be seen in person, but was told over the phone that she just had to wait it out. It's a virus they said, just have to let it run its course. Well a few days later she ended up in the ER with pneumonia. So much for "it's a virus and you just have to let it run its course"! She could have skipped the ER and 4 days in the hospital had someone actually listened to her lungs and prescribed antibiotics before she was critical. I think the office in general is terrible and Dr. Patel is horrible. We will NEVER return to his office!

Were very busy, but got in and out quickly. Still not sure how we'll feel from the vaccine, but the entire staff at the office was great!

I started going to Dr. Patel because I needed a new doctor, and I had had such a good experience with him while my grandmother was under his care in hospice. From my first visit, I really felt like I could trust him and his staff. I love that New Era is a teaching practice, so there are always residents that work with the NPs and Dr. I love that I am never kept waiting - if the doctor is with a patient, I am seen by an NP or Resident, and then finish up my visit with a consult with the doctor. It is a great feeling that I am getting such good care. Because of the knowledge, time and attention of each member of his staff, Dr. Patel was able to identify a cause for a problem I've had for nearly a decade. I'm now in my 40s, and feel better and have more energy than I did in my 20s. I'm thankful to have such a good doctor and staff in our small town. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and New Era Family Pracfice.

Dr. Patel is very kind and considerate. He does involve his students because that's how they are trained. My experiences have always been positive and he has called himself to answer questions. I appreciate him and his staff. Thanks

Worse experience ever I was use to be practiced on my body while I had my annual checkup, for his medical students.Every time I need to talk to the doctor never had an answer or had to wait for hours on the phone and now I am discharged as his patients because I called asking to talk to him and of course he wants money why I should pay copays to get an answer ?I know Sierra Vista doesn't have many doctor's but please don't put your health in his practice
