The Salvation Army Sierra Vista Corps is a wonderful organization that helps people with food, rent, lights, and other needs without criticism or judgement. It offers many programs for families in need and seniors, including a food bank, senior nutrition baskets, a daily meal, and children's programs like bible summer school and culinary classes. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food prepared is often very tasty. Recipients of food boxes report a good variety of enough food to last a week, along with personal products. The employees and volunteers are described as genuine, loving, caring, friendly, amazing, and thoughtful people who desperately want to help. They provide guidance and prayers. While resources can be limited due to high need, the organization does so much for the community and is a great place to volunteer.
