“Retro Exchange has easily become one of my favorite stores, especially when it comes to vintage items. They have a smaller section near the registers dedicated to vintage collectibles, but I’ve been in four times now and it’s always changing. There’s almost always something new that catches my eye.
The same employee has helped me each visit — not sure of his name, but he’s a younger guy with longer hair. What really stands out is how knowledgeable he is. I’m probably twice his age, yet he clearly knows his stuff when it comes to toys from my childhood that I’m actively collecting. He’s great to talk to and genuinely helpful without being pushy.
This place is easily one of the best collectible stores in the west valley of Phoenix, and definitely in my top two. My wife and I have a massive vintage collection that takes up about 500 square feet of our house, so we’re always checking out shops like this. Retro Exchange is absolutely worth a visit for anyone into collecting. While most of the store leans modern, the vintage section is always worth digging through.

“This was my first time going to this thrift shop and I had such an awesome experience. They had such a cute little shop. Everything was decorated so nice and adorable. I loved how they turned what looked like what once was a restroom into a mirror room with records in the flooring. And mirrors on every inch of the walls. Everything was at reasonable prices as well. I thought I would never leave. But I did with a cart load of items for only $40.”

I'd usually keep this place a secret but it's just too good of one and sadly I'm heading to my home state in about a week.

“Amazing experience. Matthew in the electronics section helped my wife find a bread maker and even went in back to find us a better one. Helped me and my wife then find a cd/ tape player radio and then searched for a cord that would work. Took the time to think about us from the perspective of an elderly person and found a nearly new and easy to use product in both. Such a kind & caring young man. A real asset to this store. Which is a welcomed change as we have had negative experiences with an unhelpful employee in that department in the past as well as the ubiquitous and often spoke of overpriced items.”
