“Retro Exchange has easily become one of my favorite stores, especially when it comes to vintage items. They have a smaller section near the registers dedicated to vintage collectibles, but I’ve been in four times now and it’s always changing. There’s almost always something new that catches my eye.
The same employee has helped me each visit — not sure of his name, but he’s a younger guy with longer hair. What really stands out is how knowledgeable he is. I’m probably twice his age, yet he clearly knows his stuff when it comes to toys from my childhood that I’m actively collecting. He’s great to talk to and genuinely helpful without being pushy.
This place is easily one of the best collectible stores in the west valley of Phoenix, and definitely in my top two. My wife and I have a massive vintage collection that takes up about 500 square feet of our house, so we’re always checking out shops like this. Retro Exchange is absolutely worth a visit for anyone into collecting. While most of the store leans modern, the vintage section is always worth digging through.

“I’ve been shopping at Sun City Thrift Shop for the past couple of years and always find the best hidden gems for myself, my husband, and family & friends. The shop is spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming, and has such fun decor. Every visit is such a relaxing, enjoyable experience.

I also only donate my stuff here, a much better alternative to Goodwill whose greed prices things so high that they are no longer an affordable place to shop. Salvation Army is far superior.”

“I was looking for a used bike for my son to ride back and forth to work. I found an old Schwinn bike ($20) that needed complete tire and tube replaced ($35). The brakes and wires worked great. Nice bargain!!”
