My son who has Down Syndrome was discriminated for his disability of not being able to walk. Hes 2 1/2 years old. They were refusing to enroll him because he couldn't walk. The only way directors Ms.Tanya & Ms.Michelle would accept him was if he had a Dr's note stating he didn't need a 1 on 1 aid and they'd see how he does!! Why would he need an aid at that age? In his previous daycare I explained he didnt require one but they didnt care. I asked if this is something they required for all other nonwalking kids but got not response. His teacher Ms. Amber in the 2yr old class is rude & obviously there for just a paycheck!! Ive heard Ms. Amber in the office complain that she always has a full classroom of toddlers as she spoke with Ms.Tanya during their planning/teachers aid rotation meeting. The 1st day I walked in her classroom with my child she barely mumbled "good morning" and didnt even look up at us.Not once did she get up & walk over to introduce herself or ask any questions to get to know my son.. She would act as if my child & I weren't in her class during drop off. She never spoke to my child! He would cry when I dropped him off & never did she come over to comfort him! He was miserable. He was uncomfortable there & not eating/drinking ALL DAY long & Ms. Amber never told me. A helper did. A helper tried feeding my son while Ms.Amber let him go without without eating or trying to encourage him to eat!!! I also found out from another staff member that he wasn't allowed to go outside with his class. He was left in the infant room!!!!! Tanya, the director, is also rude!! I would watch my child off the cameras in the front lobby & all she could tell me was how many students are in the classroom so let's see how he does. Or he's not eating so let's see how he does. And it wasn't said in a positive manner but in a manner of if he doesn't adjust, she'll disenroll him. Mind you he was there less than 2 weeks!!! Instead of reassuring me he will be okay, she made me feel terrible. When I went into the classroom to pickup my sons belongings saying I was unhappy with him in that classroom & pulling him out, Ms. Amber didn't even care to ask what was going on & how could she help! She just grabbed my sons belongings & gave them to me without a word. This daycare only cares about money and not the well being of our children. They discrimination here is absolutely disgusting and sad!!!!!!!! He wasn't wanted since day 1 but I was in a pinch for daycare and took him here. Biggest mistake ever! He's now in a new loving daycare & happy!!!

My son attended this school briefly. This was his first daycare outside of family. At first, everything was good. He was making friends and learning. But that was short-lived as one day he came home and told me that his teacher MS. CAROL hits his back and then proceeds to show me how. I was enraged! He also began to say "I'm a dummy," which was unusual to me as we do not say that at all. It turns out the same teacher called him a dummy. How is this acceptable behavior for a PRESCHOOL teacher???? These are children!!! They force all the 4 years Olds to take naps, my son has not napped since he was 3 years old, and would have to lay there crying because he didnt want to lay there for up to 2 hours! Does this school not see that as torture for a 4 year old to have to lay still for 2 hours??? On top of that, my son caught a bug or virus every other week!! Needless to say, please DO NOT take your children here, especially your 4 yr Olds.

I have been coming to Sunrise Preschool Tolleson five years I started when my granddaughter was one month old old . They help me through the process of raising a baby and nurturing, her and getting through the ups and downs, teething and all that stuff that I basically forgot about. Miss Demi and miss Cecilia in baby are very knowledgeable about everything to do with baby’s. The ones twos threes and fours are all wonderful and then miss carol she is great at getting them ready for kindergarten. And last but not least miss Elizabeth she is the most amazing director she is helpful kind and caring.

My daughter moved to this preschool from another due to the location, transportation options to her school. Since being there I have been more then happy with my choice. Cecilia and Elizabeth which are at the front desk are more then welcoming and assist you with any questions or concerns. Elisa, her morning teacher is so loving and caring towards the kids. It is like this is her calling to be with little ones. I know she will be in good hands when she starts kindergartens before and after school care and apprecaite the transportation that they will provide.

The staff are very in tune with the children and keep the learning process, simple and easy for them to stay with the group. I am so appreciative of the Sunrise directors and teachers. The staff makes sure that the children are safe and that they have a lot of fun learning activities planned. When you walk in, you can see that the staff takes time to make the school attractive, nice, and colorful for the children. They make sure to display the childrens’ work and their art. The teachers have a very good curriculum that they follow. Teachers take time to read and work on preschool skills that keep the children engaged. I also love the way teachers report what my kids did every day on the school app. So grateful to you all!
