This store is a joke. Used to be a nice neighborhood store. Must have new owners because they are completely remodeling it and it's a mess. Some obese boss lady telling the lone 2 employees what to do and they don't know anything.
Took some fuses in to get tested to see if I needed them. Kid employee asks me why I want to test them! Duh! Boss lady says there is a voltmeter at the register. Can't find it. When he does it doesn't work. Needs battery. Has to ask lady if he can get some batteries!
I decide to buy two new fuses anyhow and waiting to check out. Meanwhile customer in front of me is having issues so I wait. Another customer gets behind me and a line forms. Kid cashier decided to open a register and offers to help customer behind me acting like I wasn't there for 10-minutes for this whole scenario. I scolded him and left the fuses on the counter never to go back in that store again after 45 years of doing so.
Went to another Ace. There's 2 great ones on the Eastside that treat their customers with respect. The block long one at 22nd and Kolb and a good one at Bear Canyon Rd.
Interesting thing. The fuses were cheaper at the store I went to!
Do yourself a favor and avoid this Ace unless you are into higher prices, ill trained employees, and rudeness.

Been going here for over 8 years now steadily. Seen lots of friendly faces come and go through the years. They have a very good supply of items and wide variety. Been hesitant to go lately as the atmosphere is no longer there as the newer employees have such long faces and greet you as if it hurts. The main lady who runs the register by the name of JANICE is someone who will always greet you in pain and as of today I will no longer support this ACE due to the bad experience time and time again with the unhappy JANICE.

Apparently there is new ownership and they no longer take expired coupons. In the past it was 1 year at this store. Some ACE stores still take coupons up to 6 months old. Regardless you still have to spend $50-$100 to get the $10-$20 discount. I've been a customer at this ACE branch for many years but will start shopping at the Sunrise location or go to a big box store, where prices tend to be lower. Personally I think this is a short sited decision by the new ownership.

As a general contractor, I like to save time and money. It translates to more sales and lower prices for our customers. Desert Vista Ace has everything you need to get the job done. Clear, clean isles with room to shop. Merchandise is clearly labeled and in order. The staff is attentive and courteous and listens to your needs. They will walk you to the exact isle you need. In and out in less time, it would take you to find parking at a big box store. When time is money, Desert Vista Ace is a great value. Support your local businesses.

Up until today, I've had decades of fantastic experiences at Ace Hardware. Phil, in the key department, was an absolutely horrific experience. He refused to place a key order for me because of his opinions about my alarm system, which he has never seen nor has any expert knowledge about. I politely told him that I acknowledge his concerns but would like to proceed with my order at my own risk. He proceeded to tell me that I'm "not listening" and sent me away. I've always supported this location and would like to point out that everyone, with the exception of Phil, provided me great service today.

Man these men and women at Ace are life-savers! A few months back, Alex helped me cut a pretty complicated key that I had to make an appointment for.
For as long as I’ve been living in the neighborhood (20 years) EVERY single Ace ‘representative’ has gone above and beyond to help me. Most recently Bill, Jaye, Lewis, Mason, another man who I think is named Bill and everyone else whose name I may have forgotten at the store, has been approachable, patient and understanding. And I think I know why: they’re not only excellent at customer service, but they’ve been there and have empathy and compassion for their customers. This last point is truly rare to find nowadays. My only advice to you is to keep doing what you’re doing because in my experience, it’s working beautifully. Thank you.

The store is ok a side from having unprofessional employees following us & watching every move we made I would've written a better review but never going back and will be telling more of my followers to not shop there .... stay humble 👍

Alex is amazing!! I came to this ace a few weeks ago in search of something specific. This was the third ace I had gone too and Alex took the time to help me find EXACTLY what I needed without making me feel bad. This location is a little out of my way, but her customer service made the drive worth it.

Horrible. 3 employees up front chatting. Happy to pause their conversation to tell you what aisle to go to but no help otherwise. Chatting amongst themselves the entire time I was there. Checked out with Gerard. This guy should not interface with customers. Rude and snarky and combative. Ace is not what it used to be.
