Purchased a pair of athletic shorts at this location, and thankfully wash things before wearing. After removing the tags, and turning them inside-out to toss in, I found crusted discharge! Apparently someone wore them WITHOUT UNDERWEAR and returned. The item was obviously not properly inspected before the return was authorized, much less looked at before putting back on the floor.
There’s no way that such “remnants” would be left after just trying on, even if someone is gross enough to try on clothing without undergarments.
The in-store experience was pleasant, which is the only reason for the two stars. But this is a serious lack of attention to detail, that really is a health issue. I used to be a retail manager, and something in that condition should never be on the floor for sale. If the store is going to allow the return, they’re just going to have to take the hit, and damage it out.
As a customer, I don’t usually consider needing to inspect the crotch of a garment I’m expecting to be brand new, but that’s my bad I guess. Lesson learned.

I left very disappointed with my in person shopping experience. I actually really like athleta leggings and decided to stop by in person and I felt very discriminated against by this older white lady. I’m a Latina woman and the way she looked at me made me feel so unwanted or as if I was out of place. She kept following me around and looking at me up and down. Very disappointing.

Honestly, if I could give a 0 for customer service, then I would. There’s a girl by the name of Freda who has the worse attitude, it’s unbelievable, and she’s a manager… Absolutely ridiculous. No greeting, no assistance while walking around, nothing. Worst Athleta location I’ve ever been to, ever.

I purchased a number of things during the Labor Day sale online. Unfortunately when I received my order, I found most things were the wrong size. When I returned the items to the La Encantada store, my sales associate was Frida Duran. It was a challenge sorting out prices, as not only were the items on sale when I purchased them, but I received an additional discount for opening a credit card account, and I also used rewards certificates too. Frida skillfully sorted things out, ordering replacement items that were only available online and directing me to things there in store. She was a master at keeping track of prices and making certain I received the prices and discounts I had initially received. Most importantly, she did it all cheerfully and pleasantly with a big smile on her face. This Athleta location is fortunate to have her on their team. She is a true asset not only to this location, but also a top notch face and image of the entire Athleta corporation. Thank you Frida!

Huge improvement from my last visit where I felt like a was being judged. The ladies were great. Nice... funny... helpful. I actually spent money in this time. Customer service is everything. A lost art.... it matters.

Today I stopped by to purchase "work clothes" since I'm a fitness instructor. I want to give Sonia a big shout out for her help!! I knew what I wanted and Sonia quickly helped me find the items. She also did a great job offering additional suggestions. I love the quality of Athleta fitness clothes!! I also love the Fitness Pro Program which gives discounts to fitness professionals!! I'm a loyal customer because of quality products and excellent service. I will return soon!

Usually love coming in and shopping around, but I simply came with my mom to pick up an order and return something and everyone there had nasty attitudes and dirty looks except two of the lovely ladies that normally help us when we shop. I'm not sure if it's just because they've been busier than usual with the holidays. :(
