Second time getting my brakes done here in the last year. The first time I had the rear brakes done and they had to replace the rotors because my rear brakes only come as a whole set as it’s an Acura. This time (6months later) I’m in to have my rear brakes done and it’s the rotors again. They said my rotors are at 98% but the paperwork did not say rotors it just said pads, but then the guy on the phone was pushing for the rotors even though manufacturers said rotors should last to 80%..these people are a scam. I will not ever be coming back here for anything. I told them I can’t afford the rotors so just do the oil change and I’ll go else where..that’s when he asked why and I told him I felt like they were being shady since the mechanic didn’t mention rotors at all on the papers. He then said that they could do the brakes for 460.00- I then said I have a coupon that says 250 per axle..then my price went down to 300. This place is a rip off..go to the dealership instead, at least they are honest.
Also- I made an appointment for 10am- I didn’t even get a quote or any info about what the inspection found for 2 hours!! It’s 1pm right now and I’m still waiting to hear about the rotors. Why have appointments if you’re not going to adhere to them?

From the moment I walked in to the second I walked out, I could not even begin to explain how courteous, professional, and welcoming the people at this brakemax are. I came in with acceleration problems and car song when accelerating, Ed the store manager and whom which I talked with the most, was always calling to keep me updated, was always honest with me and updating me on my vehicles condition, even with no appointment they were able to take me in and help me out. Glenn the main technician working on my vehicle checked my vehicle from top to bottom, and when other places will up-charge or make it seem like the issue is a big ticket item like transmission change, Glenn was able to accurately diagnose the issue and fix it in a timely manner. Joe who also communicated with me regarding my vehicles condition was always keeping me updated every step, from when it was brought in, to when it was being done inspected, all the way up to when I picked it up. The BrakeMax her on Swan and Camp Lowell is by far the best place to go, not only for how affordable the price is or how professional they are, but because of their honesty and how upfront they are, 10/10 5stars will always recommend and will always go here for all my car troubles

The manger was so helpful and very professional!! My car only took 2 hours to get done and was very flexible knowing I had another appointment at 1pm. They are very flexible and while I was waiting everyone was saying thank you to the manger!! 5 stars and will be coming back.
