If you want a really good exam this is the place you should be a patient. Dr.Courtney will follow you through any questions and problems you might have, I have been a patient 34 years and can’t imagine going anywhere else.

I just went through a physical dilemma and instead of using urgent care I drove to Courtney Medical.I did not have an appointment but received immediate care by four staff members.I was quite concerned (frightened) and the support and treatment that followed led to a thoughtful and successful treatment plan.Everyone from receptionist to Robin, my nurse practitioner...Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!

This office is one of the best Medical teams in Tucson. Dr Courtney snd her staff are very professional helpful and full of knowledge.I was in for a follow up. Appointment.Review of tests that were completed.She explained the results and made me feel comfortable.They also had given me a different time to come.The staff is professional nice group.I highly recommend the office. They have X-ray. As well as a lab on premise.

The staff is always friendly. And the Nurse Practitioner was great! I have gotten appointments quickly when not feeling well. And never had an issue getting referred to doctors for what I need for my health. I would recommend this office. They also have done x-rays for me in office in the past. And you can get your labs there.

As usual, Tatiana is very focused on my case, she notes any thing unusual in my test results. I was pleased to tell her that my recent mammography was negative for any new cancer which she was very pleased. I'm so lucky to have a nurse practitioner so caring and competent.

When looking for a primary care doctor I came across this wonderful establishment! Not only is it clean and organized they listen to your needs and make sure they are always met. I see Shawna Ward and am amazed at the care that she gives and how timely she gets everything done. I 100% recommended coming to Courtney Medical group! The whole team is amazing!

Susan Courtney has been my doctor since the late 1980s. I consider her a friend as well as my primary care physician. She is very thorough and caring in her treatment of her patients. With my various medical issues she has been supportive and helpful in any way I need her.I would also like to comment on her support staff including nurse practitioners. They are friendly and also very thorough in their treatment and follow through with paperwork, etc.I have and do recommend Courtney Medical Group!

The best! My father has been seeing Courtney Medical Group as his primary care since coming to AZ from CA. His is a pretty complicated situation, and everyone from front and back office staff to the practitioners have been beyond wonderful, sweet and helpful. They have gone out of their way to make an extremely difficult situation easier to handle, and have done it with compassion. I highly recommend Courtney Medical Group!

I have been with Courtney Medical Group for the past 8 years. I only have good things to say. They are professional and caring for me and my health. Front desk always friendly and respectful. I like the small chats I have with all in the office, as they always have a great attitude and the atmosphere is always welcoming.

From the very moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness and compassion. And I couldn't have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Susan Courtney MD. She actually sits down and listens to her patients unlike some other doctors that just want to rush you out of there. I would definitely recommend Courtney Medical Group for the place to go for your health care needs.

I have always trusted Courtney Medical Group and their staff to provide top-notch medical care. If I recall, I have been with Courtney Medical since we first moved to Tucson (1994-95). Although some of the staff has changed over the years, Dr Courtney and Denise have always been there for me, making sure I get the best care possible. Thank You

I found Courtney to be very narcissistic & controlling. She refused to answer my questions as to why she was ordering certain test, which were not required or even suggested for a man of my age(79). Instead, she loudly proclaimed that I was “arguing” with her. The final “straw” was that she refused to reorder my cholesterol meds, until I made a “follow up” appointment,, although there was nothing to follow up. At that appointment, she seemed to not know why I was there. After advising her that I had engaged another Primary Doctor, she canceled my access to my Portal medical information! Vindictive & arrogant!I do NOT recommend Susan Courtney or Courtney Medical Group!

I came to Dr. Courtney after experiencing medical abuse and neglect from my primary care provider. I stated this fact at the very beginning of the appointment, and went on to say that as a result of the neglect, there were a lot of things I needed done medically. She responded that these were "demands" and it was "awkward" that I wanted to be involved in my care. She was so abrasive that my medical advocate started to pack up after 15 minutes, and Dr. Courtney actually called her out on it, then asked if she was recording. The only reason I didn't leave then is because she reeled me back in by agreeing to some of the testing that I actually needed.She also defended my pain clinic treating me in half-measures and prescribing me opiates, but not at a level where I could function, without knowing the situation at all.I reiterated at one point the medical abuse I experienced and she replied in the most flat, disaffected tone ever that what I went through is terrible, and other such platitudes, but nothing about her behavior changed.The techs are lovely people, and the in-house diagnostics are great, but they're not worth the cost of dealing with this absolute nightmare of a physician. I don't think I would trust any of the other physicians that Dr. Courtney hired. If your medical issues are complex and/or you want an active role in your own care, steer clear of this one. This is a physician who feels threatened by patients who advocate for themselves.
