DO NOT HIRE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My items were so poorly packed and handled. I have damaged furniture, clothes shoved in drawers that I had to pry them open, and wardrobe boxes with shoes thrown ON TOP of my clothes. Thats not even the cherry on top. My stuff was just carelessly thrown into boxes and it's been a nightmare to unpack everything. Additionally, they've managed to lose my items and irreparably damage furniture ?

I've used Mayflower for my last 3 big moves and Dircks for 2 of them. On all three of the moves, I've had furniture damaged or destroyed and sadly this move was no exception - and I was only moving 2 pieces of furniture! Even though the dresser was wrapped and not heavy, part of the base was still ripped off, so it will no longer sit level and there is a gouge in the side. Now I get the fun of dealing with Unigroup for my claim again, along with trying to get reimbursed for several broken or missing dishes (I packed everything except my breakables). My load also showed up 8 days late - I understand there's a driver shortage but I was told everything was on time until a day before the original delivery date (container move with a firm delivery date) and then was told by the move co-ordinator "I have no idea where your stuff is." My stuff wasn't even in the right state until several days later.

Have not moved yet, but already have problems. Signed an agreement for a snapmove with guaranteed delivery date, now find out they can't give a guaranteed delivery date and instead I have a 6 day spread. While I understand the complexities of moving, especially now, nothing was said about a lengthy delivery window until after I signed.

Don't believe anything they say! They will not take any responsibility for your items. If you get a penny, your extremely lucky. Our home was packed by their "best crew"; more like a bunch of disrespectful idiots. Heavy skillets on top of glass ware, sofa leg broken off, high end artisan vase barely wrapped with no box, new outdoor cushions used as stuffing on the truck, antique table a large carving piece broken off and put inside, we had thousands of dollars of damage and purchased additional replacement insurance, used the same crew to unload and we received "so sorry, all claimed denied: go to arbitration". Lost cause. Such a disgrace and scam. They are subcontractors of Mayflower. Photograph everything, pay to have them unpack because if they leave it, your screwed! Mayflower just blames Dircks, Dircks blames Mayflower, drivers and crews all subcontracted. Too many fingers blaming each other and no one takes any responsibility. Oh the guy that quotes the price is the only nice person at this company, however he is selling you a crap move. They tell everyone "our best crew". Bad, bad and bad. Beware and run if you want you items in one piece.

I have moved many times in the past, and my experience with Dircks was by far the worst. We moved from Tucson to the Chicago suburbs in May. Scott Krenz was the salesman. I don't know what happened, if they miscalculated our belongings and the size of the truck, but they couldn't get all of our belongings on the truck, so they had to call in a second truck. Well, it took the second truck 5 weeks to get to our Illinois location. They came up with excuse after excuse, meanwhile I was missing a lot of household items that we needed to set up our new house. I would never recommend this company to any family or friends. Evelyn

Overall, the move went well. Both our Phoenix home and new Aurora, CO home were taken care of during the move. No damage to either home. Everyone involved at both ends took care to wear masks and was respectful of our needs. Angie kept us up to date throughout the move and Mike, the driver, was great making sure every aspect of the move went well. The delivery team also did a good job. Andrew and Kevin were great at reassembling our office furniture. Excellent support to make sure vulnerable paintings and mirrors and lamps were protected.

Most of our furniture was damaged. The sectional couch, leather chair, king sized box springs, bookcase, dresser, sofa table, baby swing, bike, stroller, changing table, accent table, deck box, slide, bike, solar umbrella, dining chair, area rug,and more. (Anything that was not in a box.) The driver was rude when we began pointing out that our stuff had damage as it was being unloaded. Many of our items were disassembled further than when they were loaded onto the first truck

Everyone was professional, respectful and a pleasure to work with. Our salesperson Scott was excellent answering any questions we had prior to the move and our contents were delivered on time and no hidden extra charges. We had a cross country move and Horizon packed and unpacked our contents without any mishaps. I highly recommend the Tucson team of Horizon movers.

David was the team leader. I tried to buy the team lunch but David declined. Unfortunately I did not think about tipping David and his team until they had left. David was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Thank you. I wish I could remember David's last name, but I can't read his signature on the forms. He did say his grandmother had died recently. I am forgetful. I am old. My brain leaks info. Sorry. I hope this review gets to the right person and helps them. David, thank you, again.

At this point, if I could list negative stars, I would. Let me start with a (overseas included), we've never had a worse experience than our recent move from Tucson AZ to Clarksville MD. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and professional, Scott Krentz, and was great to work with. That's where the "good" experience stopped. Our move was scheduled for June 15th, so this has been going on for a month. I was initially told the packers would take 2 days. They came and assured me it would be done in one day. It wasn't. They carelessly forgot a couple of cabinets, didn't pack cups, and didn't pack as well as they should have the things they did. Of course I have no way to prove who's responsible, but several pieces of my furniture is broken or missing paint--mind you--these items were moved from SC to Japan, to AZ without any issues. Now, let's begin the true issues with the driver that picked up our furniture. Scott estimated our furniture at 11k pounds total. Dustin, our driver, came to pick up the furniture and stated that Scott under-estimated, and that we had about 14k instead. 1/2 way through, he then began to say he couldn't fit everything and that another crew would have to come pick up the rest. He started asking what was "essential" and when I pointed things out, he told me it wouldn't fit. He ended up only taking just 1/2 OF OUR HOUSE. He couldn't fit my grandmothers china cabinet, TWO bed, 1 sectional, 35 boxes, garage items, 14 chairs, a bench in my bedroom, etc. That's a lot. I had sold the house, scheduled the pickup with plenty of time to get everything out, and he's telling me he can't pick up 1/2 of my house. His crew worked from 8-330, and another crew came to pick up the rest to go to the warehouse from 330-630. My husband had already gone to Maryland by this time, and when Dustin arrived in Maryland, he made the mistake of mentioning to my husband that what he brought was between 6800-7k pounds. So let me get this straight, he knew our stuff was estimated at 11k, and yet he could only pick up 7k? Sounds pretty shade to me. I think it sounds like he knew he couldn't fit that much weight, but accepted the job anyway. While he was unloading the furniture, he also couldn't get the truck up the driveway, so he needed a shuttle. He figured out that we were authorized a shuttle based on the type of move we selected, and that he would get $2k out of it. But instead--offered my husband money to use OUR truck. At the end of the day, he paid my husband $40, and would claim the shuttle HE DIDN'T USE for more than likely that $2k. Why exactly did I have to pay $13,000 for a move and use my own vehicle? Another week later, we received the remainder of our furniture. That weight ended up being ONLY 3,670 in total. My husband has on many occasions asked the customer service manager that we are now dealing with, Jose Garcia, what our total weight is. Jose keeps telling us he cannot get that for us. So the kicker is that my husbands company needs the total weight in order to refund us the move costs we just incurred. Jose keeps saying he can't get it. ALSO... per our contract, we were also told that if we came in under the 11k weight, it was possible to get a small refund. While I don't care about that at the moment(although it was a selling point), I'm more concerned with the fact that Dircks keeps withholding the total weight from us. This looks as if Dustin took the first part of our furniture from AZ to MD without ever weighing it. That's pretty shady and a bit illegal. I don't know of any trucker that's allowed to do that, but I'm sure no one wants us to know the final weight. Seems like the hardest question to get a simple answer from a moving company. So let's now go to our move coordinator, Ashley. She's fun. By fun I mean rude and talks down to people. Ashley, kept telling me and my husband that while there was a delay in receiving all of our furniture, oh, did I m

My move process began with reaching out to a co-worker who used Mayflower to move to California. She provided the contact information for Ashley and Scott. Scott reached out to schedule a virtual review of my items. He advised that based on what he saw, I would need one crate. We discussed my move to Mississippi and the logistics to have my items delivered after I arrived to the state. We also scheduled a date/time for Jeremiah and Felipe to crate my items. Jeremiah and Felipe arrived on May 28, 2020 at 9 am to crate my boxes. They completed their tasks in less than two hours! Felipe advised that my crate was due on or before June 10th and that Ashley would contact me throughout the transit process. Ashley contacted me almost every day of the transit. My crate arrived on June 10th. Two wonderful gentlemen arrived to my home and emptied the crate, ensuring that all items were in good order. This move was fantastic!
