Immediate area in severe decline. Parking lot was dirty with trash left unattended. Parking can prove problematic at times. Warmly welcomed by friendly inviting professional staff upon entry. Ample stock on hand.
Checkout is always slow and seems to require unjustified time delays.
Please with my overall visit but there is clearly room for improvements

I went back in the store for the first time in over a year. DG did a complete remodel, and finally they trust the customer to not steal the shopping carts by removing the 10 foot broom stick handle from the cart. Still no cashiers.

I was here 10/11/24 at 2:30 and witnessed a very difficult customer belittling store clerk and staff and other customers. The store clerk and manager handled her w professionalism even though this particular customer had an axe to grind before even walking into the store and voicing her grievances about life in the store even as far as while she was checking out still complaining because she said card wasn’t swiping and she did it 3x and she was being absolutely insufferable and making it about the employee or the machine, meanwhile my card worked just fine, first time, after she left. The employees deserve to be treated better it’s not always about the customer being right when the customer was being rude to begin with and causing issues. Give those 2 ladies in the store a raise for how professional they conducted themselves, they did not deserve to be treated how they were period.

The clerk yesterday morning wasn't the nicest, I am disabled and we get benefits to help with household needs and I asked to make sure they accepted it. After the transaction I was thrilled and said thank goodness I had the benefit and his rude self says "Yea until it runs out!" I was going to reply because it gets refilled every month but didn't. That was not needed and not good customer service do better

this place was a very terrible experience, especially as a student. The worker Jennifer had the nerve to start yelling at me and my friend in the middle of the store while I was on a extremely important phone call with someone involving legal stuff and her remarks and the way she was talking, made it sound very unprofessional, and it was just Kind of sad to see her go back-and-forth with children

I came into Dollar General for only my second time today Friday, December 1, 2023 to show my husband how neat the store was and all the fun things you guys had. And your employee went out and took a picture of my license plate. Accusing me of stealing something. When I asked her, what did I steal and I opened up my bag, of which was empty asking her what did I take??? She said "because your bag was bigger than when it came in." There was nothing in my bag. I am utterly disgusted, offended and embarrassed. She had no right to do that to me. I'm humiliated, I'm furious, and I'm going to share with all of social media how your manager discriminated against me because I was standing in the isle too long. And actually I was standing in the isle signing up for Dollar Generals App. So, I want to know what I did that was so wrong that she felt the need to go out and take a picture of my license plate and directly accuse me of stealing. I want to know what proof she has of that instance. I left my cart in the isle to go out to my car looking for my husband, I came back in and was starting my email that I'm writing here to corporate and I was going to purchase the items I scanned on my app. Till I hear over the intercom the "we've got cameras and stealing will not be tolerated." I didn't think anything of it, cause I wasn't. Then the man's voice said "there's no loitering" again I wasn't so I didn't react. Till he went on to say "specifically the girl with the red hair wearing the black & white jacket." I was appalled. Telling me to leave the store or the police would be called. I yelled right back, "call them, please!" "I have done NOTHING wrong but enter your store to shop, isn't that what it's there for?" How dare you! What gives y'all the right to treat a customer like that? Is this how you train your management and/or employees to treat customers? This was only my second time in Dollar General so why did I get treated like this when I did nothing wrong whatsoever. This was discrimination and I can't believe in this day in age that companies approve that type of behavior. As I've told people about my experience, they've shared their similar experiences at this same Dollar General and others around town. So what is it that makes you not get harassed when you shop at Dollar General? How do you have to look? I'd like to know what you guys profile for. Needless to say you'll never get my business again, and I can't recommend shopping at any Dollar General to anybody ever. My best recommendation is for Dollar General to close their doors or actually live by what your website says, "you care about your community." STOP PROFILING PEOPLE!!!

The chubby dude with the beard that works at the front register is beyond annoying. They always accuse the wrong people of shoplifting. Stop being so miserable and leave people alone.

Always going here, have lived on the road for over a decade. Tonight completely changed my perspective on the store and staff. There were other customers when I first arrived, but as soon as the line cleared, all employees dispersed. To the young, bearded gentleman with glasses and gauges (no name tag), why would you feel it necessary to walk around the store banging cardboard tubes? Not only is that unprofessional but also extremely annoying. Also, I am shopping, I don't watch football, I didn't go to a Sierra Vista high school, learn to leave people alone. After that ordeal I was ready to check out, made eye contact with said young man who was handling the register when I walked in, and proceeded to wait three to five minutes before he came to check us out. Absolutely deplorable, would rather go to Fry's as that is becoming the more convenient option. (P.S. management has turned into a bunch of boneheads and won't bother to fix anything, corporate also doesn't care as a manager who currently works there has refused me service and declined to provide a reason. But OTHER managers are able to assist me?).
