Worst experience of my life so far with a rental company. The front desk man with the shitty pony tail was beyond rude and unhelpful. He did not allow me the rental even though I'm in my 30's and the reservation was on my name because my card had the words 'platinum debit card' on and when I asked if he could help me try to cancel he straight up said NO and then told me to MOVE aside so he could help the next customer someone fire that piece of unhelpful shit!

Please read this before you go to this branch. This branch is a scam and they are so rude. They charged me for a charging kit that was never in my contract and it was never put in the car. Never use dollar rental. They are the worst rental company I have ever dealt with. And if you think you will get a refund, the customer care service is one of the worst. I am a veteran and I have served this country, that a why I am advising anyone reading this now not to patronize this company. It is a fraud, and all they do is scam customers and very good at it. Someone has to start speaking against fraud rental companies like Dollar Rent. Any one with a case like this can come forward, maybe we can go against them as a group. And please, do not get fooled when you see a reply that says to copy and paste your complaints on a website, they do not do anything to help because they do not have the authorization or power to do anything. Scam, fraud, unprofessional. There is a lady supervisor who is of Hispanic heritage, she is a racist in my opinion. She gave me attitude just because of how I looked and indirectly reference that I might have stolen the cable. Well, guess what, I am a proud veteran who has done my time serving this great country and very trust worthy. It pains to know that there are still some company that are willing to play customers and collect money by doing fraud. Please be careful.

High mileage car, full of scratches. According to the front desk in the airport, it was the "only" car available.I don't recommend this company. The other car rentals offers you the chance to choose the car you prefer inside the category you've rent.

I was told when picking up the car that I needed to keep the receipt from the gas station upon returning the vehicle and not to gas it up more than ten miles away. Never heard this before from any car rental agency. The guy at the counter told me it's a new policy they just started. Did exactly what he told me. When I returned the car I took some empty water bottles to the trash and came back to the car and asked the attendant if he needed the gas receipt, he told me he didn't need to see it and he already put it down as full . When I received my receipt by email they had charged me $108 for gas. I called the corporate number and they said they would submit the claim and email me in 3 business days with a new receipt with the correct charges.They never did. When I called again they told me there was nothing they could do because the GM of that location wouldn't approve it. They said I left with 90% tank and returned with 30% which is impossible because I filled it before returning it and of course after hearing that the attendant had already put it down as full I got rid of the receipt. Now I am forced to try to get a copy of the receipt and submit the claim through their website. Terrible inconvenience. What a scam. How many people won't go through the trouble? Will never use dollar again and will tell everyone I can about this experience. Worst rental car experience ever.

Dollar Car Rental was an expected positive exchange. Perhaps I was lucky given the reviews that have been posted. I rented a clean Dodge Durango with a sunroof. It was pretty nice.The rental car place is located on the complete opposite side of baggage claim.I received an unexpected car upgrade, and the check-in/check-out was a breeze. Josh's warm, responsive and thorough service made the rental process pleasant. There was no wait time, although I was the second customer in line. I observed the other two customers receiving the same positive service as I was eavesdropping on their conversations.For my experience this was truly a "dollar" well spent!#juken123# dollarcarrentaltucson# dodgedurango

I picked up my rental after work. You are given keys and told which bay the car is in. The garage is dark so when arrived home to pick up the family I saw the SUV had never been cleaned. There were dirty disposable spoons in the back seat cubbies, candy wrappers, seats had some sort of sticky splatter all over. I live in Arizona and having to clean this mess before leaving for our trip. I dropped off the car Sunday and on Friday morning I got a message while at work my car rental is past due. I immediately check my account to see they have run another charge for $400. My first of the month bills were trying to clear my account and as a result returned because of this. Hertz (apparently same company) tells me they will give me $25 credit. This is an insult they are basically compensating for me cleaning the car myself. I should not have to clean someone else’s disgusting mess. As for the matter of bounced payments for their error I was told that would be up to my bank they have nothing to do with that. I have wasted so much of time and still trying to get this resolved with the creditors and bank I can’t reach till Monday so if they don’t reverse these fees it’s basically my problem. I was not offered a letter of explanation from them to provide my bank and creditors because of their mistake. I did have the funds to pay the bills I paid had they not charged me an additional $400 for a car I did return 5 days prior (on time). This has caused so much stress and wasted time on my end and I’m not happy at all. The supervisors I spoke to were so un empathetic and very unreasonable seeing how I did everything I needed to on my end. Do not rent from Hertz or Dollar.

If i could give this place a Negative 5 i would . I rented a vehicle from Dollar rental at the airport and when i say i will NEVER EVER EVER go back there, reffer a family or friend, I mean it! The one represenitive marie was the rudest ive delt with then when asking for a manager or supervisor she was even worse! There was literally 4 other people standing in line telling mw good luck because theyve have bad experience. The whole experience was HORRIBLE! Fair warning DO NOT USE DOLLAR RENTAL

I travel for business and pleasure a few times a month. This rental car experience was the absolute worst. First the person (Joe) who helped us at the counter was the most unprofessional person. I called to notify them that we were running late due to a delay and I was reassured it would not be a problem and there would be a car available for me. That was not the case! Upon finally getting a car it was dirty, damaged and had a smell. I reserved the car 2 months in advance. For them to not have available cars is just not good business practice. Even if the car would have been up to standards dealing with Joe was a complete disaster. He is rude, disrespectful and doesn’t know how to deal with customers. Very disappointed in the service and the car for the amount of money we spend on rental cars.

Wanted a cheap car to stay in Green Valley a Saturday and Sunday Night. Chose Manager Special from Dollar Car to save a dollar over someone else that offered a compact. When I arrived to pick up the car they told me I have to take a Tesla. I try to convince them I should get another car but they use this to try to get more money from me. So I tell them where I am going and ask will the car have plenty of juice to do this trip and they assured me yes. Well it was 109 degrees out and by the time I reached my motel I was at 49%. There were no superchargers around and there was a slow charger next to my motel but its closed after 5pm and all day Sunday. So I had to stay the entire Sunday at my motel. I was not going to risk not making it back to the airport. I should of fought harder but I didnt know there was going to be such a fight to get a decent car and I was exhausted from the trip. Well I learned a few things, and one of them is to never take a Manager Special. By the way, when I returned the car the Dollar Rental people I handed the car off to were very courteous, I have no complaints about them.

Received a dirty car with scratches. Upon leaving the rental car garage, discovered that rental car is pretty filthy: sticky substance on the steering wheel and plenty of chips and other bits of food from the previous occupants. Unable to get a hold of the rental car counter by phone about getting a different car.Update: Brought the car back and they cleaned it. The staff, being in a dark garage all day, had to be shown pictures of what the interior of the car looked like in daylight.

I was unable to complete my prepaid rental due to their deposit requirements. This is fine; they are entitled to have policies regarding deposits and guarantees, and their desk clerk was very pleasant even though I did not leave with a rental car.However, it is now almost two weeks later and I have not received back my prepaid deposit. The desk clerk was unable to do so herself (already a red flag) and gave me a flyer for their customer service. I called that same day (twice, because I was abruptly disconnected the first time I spoke to an agent and requested a refund, another red flag) and was finally told I could expect my refund in 7-10 days. This time frame is already outrageous in this time of instantaneous electronic funds transfers. However, I then received an email FOUR DAYS LATER advising me that my refund had not been processed, even though I was denied rental and had never taken possession of a vehicle, and that I should wait another 48 hours for a result because I was still in the "redemption period," whatever that is. When I had not been notified of my refund 48 hours later, I sent an angry email detailing the situation and requesting my refund. One day after that, I received an email reply stating that my refund had finally been processed, and I should expect it within... 7-10 days. I should not have to wait two weeks (or more - I have still not received the funds) for a refund of a deposit I paid for a car I was not allowed to rent, despite jumping through a number of ridiculous hoops just to request it. This is an unacceptable way to handle deposit refunds. I will never rent from Dollar again. I would resent being forced to leave one star instead of zero stars, except their clerk at the desk was very professional. That one star goes to her.

If it was possible to leave negative stars! I would gladly rate this place -1000 . It seems like no one works at this location, let alone knows what they are doing or what their job entitles. I waited about 40 minutes on hold trying to get a hold of someone. I could only imagine if I were to have an emergency and needed their assistance. Stay away from the hole!

Dollar rent a car makes mistakes on asking folks for additional coverage. Dollar rent a car put additional charges on customers contracts at that counter that the customers didn't ask for. You do your contract online and then you get to the counter its different. Dollar Rent-a-Car is actually breaching customers contracts at the counter.Don't let the customer be under age at dollar rent a car. It's worst. They put pressure on the under age customer to get additional coverage they don't need. The Rent-A-Car places in are already charging a underage fee. They don't care , and they don't resolve there mistakes.
