Convenient location and all the comforts of home. Cook yourself a meal in the cozy kitchen or enjoy a flick by firelight. Campy decor is spot on for the full retro vibe. We enjoyed the full hook up in our small RV but the full-sized bathrooms with hot showers were divine after more than a week dry camping in the wilds.Toni was super friendly and helpful. Even gave hubby help backing in and setting us up so I could give our pups a good walk after being cooped up for several hours.Highly recommend. 6 stars! ?

I travel full-time in my camper van with my two dogs, and I've stayed in a lot of places. This is my favorite so far! I felt at home there. Toni is so welcoming, and she makes sure you're comfortable and told of all the awesome amenities. The entire property is beautiful, clean, well-maintained. There are free chicken eggs available that you can cook in a kitchen that makes you feel like you've gone back in time.Everything works in there. Everything is so clean and shiny. I decided to cook a meal on the really neat stove. And I found myself having fun as I cooked. The entire clubhouse is like that. Things from a different time that still work, reminding you we may not be actually making things more convenient as the years go by.There's a covered fire pit that Toni starts a fire in at night. They have outdoor movies. Clean bathrooms and showers. Even little grass pads next to your parking spot which Toni moved to just the right spot for me and my dogs. You have your own trash can. Free coffee in the morning. Really good coffee.I can keep going, but you probably get it by now. Come stay at El Pais. You will be happy you did. Thanks for everything Toni. I'll probably come back to see you soon.

Absolutely amazing here! My wife and I do the full time rv living and almost always have stayed at the koa campgrounds. My wife was looking around for other places and found El Pais! Our absolute favorite place we've found. Being a disabled combat veteran on a strict income they are a great price. For the price you get so many more amenities then the koa or anywhere else we have stayed. Ms Toni is so kind and caring she made us feel so comfortable. Her and her family made dinner for Christmas and it was absolutely amazing. We were going to only stay a few days but we felt so at home kept extending our stay. We feel at home with Ms Toni and her daughter here. You don't even feel in a city at all either. It is completely gated. We thank you for allowing us to call your beautiful home our for for a while during tough times.

Situated in the Urban Jungle/Desert of Tucson in Arizona is a lovely little abstract of reality. Art lovers, retro philosophy, and psychedelia trippers, alike will rave over this retro refit of an old 70's motel geared towards the camper and RV crowd. The first thing you notice when you approach the property is the gated decor framing the gated entrance. But as you enter, the unusuality of this place begins to soak in.Several classic and rare vehicles parked outside the first few rooms to your right include an early electric car that would be right at home in 80's sci-fi films. And, the Wedge, a concept 2 seater that looks like it landed here from outer space. To your left, the once office now serves as the community clubhouse and hides the hotel's history and many retro surprises. The clubhouse opens to a seating area right out of a 60's or so night club. This leads into the facility's pool and poolside furniture resting beneath a projector screen wall straight from the drive ins of old.Every room is themed, and wild to see. And, we'll maintained to boot. Hand painted reliefs surround you straight through to the retro campers that the owners restore and rent.A few lots are kept waiting for your RV to hook up to, should that be the arrangement you make.Best suited for a party crowd that is rock and retro, a romantic getaway for two, or a New Year's Champagne toast by disco ball, not the best place for kids. But, pet friendly for well behaved companions.Definitely, worth the trip.

Camped at El Paso Motel and Campground.Very clean, the owner is very outgoing and friendly. If ever in the Tuscan area this is the place to go!Safety: They take safety very seriously and provide a code for the gate, if you're out after dark.Noteworthy details: Always very friendly.

This place was awesome! Toni and crew were very welcoming and accommodating. This place felt like a little retro safe haven. They had coffee for guests every morning, and fires every night. They even played movies on the big screen one night! Highly recommend if you’re going to be spending time in Tucson.

We booked a van site at El Pais on Hipcamp and had an incredible time. The Host Toni is incredible, the grounds and clubhouse immaculate, and the whole experience a trip. The night we stayed Top Gun was playing on the outdoor projector and campfire was warm. Would definitely book again next time we pass through Tucson in our camping vehicle.

Would have loved to see more but got in late and left early. We were told no space and the night before was given a response about staying longer "we'll see, if we like you and you like us" were the exact words, my daughter couldn't believe she actually heard that come out of her mouth. Sad and disappointed how people can judge.

If you're in Tucson and looking for a good place to park yourself or your rig, for a night or for longer, look no further. Place is clean and well managed, Toni is a masterful hostess.

This was one of the more unique RV stops I've had in years. The owner and manager were great and welcoming. They had a homey feeling and were quick to offer me fresh eggs to take, coffee in the morning and a nice little area to sit and enjoy the fire. The sites were just to park with full hookups and just a few spots. But, I would stay here again if passing through
