The IRS in general are mostly people who don't know what they are doing (but hey its the government they can have as many errors and incompetent people they want we lowly citizens cant do anything about it) how do you mail someones state check to them but mail their federal to an address across country, you haven’t occupied in over four years? Ofc can not reach anyone thru the phone you go to the office they refer you to online which refers you to the same number they never answer!

Tried calling to make an appointment and after waiting on hold for several hours, I got no answers and no appointment from the rude woman on the other end of the call.

Only gave 1 star so I could vent! I’ve been trying to reach them for 2 years now! It’s impossible, but yes everyone correct, they are quick to ask for your $$ within a week’s time & then continue to penalize while you can’t reach them! Yet they lost my 2020 payment to them over a year while ultimately threatening to take my house! This is beyond ridiculous.. it’s time for another revolution people!

If I can give them zero stars, I would!!! Only one person is working for a period of 6 months. They are absolutely useless and the number they provide to call for assistance NEVER goes through.They need to hire people!!!!!!!! There are so many issues and one lady won’t solve them all!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous

I didn't get my refund until September. I filed with the IRS in April. They sent my refund to s closed account. How do I resolve this issue? You can't get through on the phone.

ETA: The picture of the empty office is the office that was too busy with appointments and that’s why they haven’t taken walkins in 3 yrs, smh..Horrible experience here.The number for appointments sends you to the website to make an appointment and the website sends you to the number.. was told to drop by the field office by the irs field rep bc they were taking walkins. The office was completely empty- to the point you could hear employees gossiping- but they were too busy for walkins.Yazbel Tyrrel was all too happy to tell me to call the number, which directs me to the website, which directs me to the number?

Phenomenal, I'm in awe at how incompetent and useless an organization can be. If you think you need to talk to someone about any issue I'd recommend you start calling about a year before the issue arises.

FINALLY, my 2nd Stimulus Payment after 7 months and almost 7 hours on phone holds and a reissued EIP debit card that was sent to me with a ZERO BALANCE!IRS spent 6 weeks on a check trace and the rest of the time doing NOTHING.I wish I could claim being the victim of government profiling and harassment. I am a Fed hater since the 80's, and I voted Stormy Daniels in the last election as a protest.Instead it's layer after layer of bureaucratic incompetence.Almost 8 months and 7 hours on the phone for $600 bucks.UPDATE: I stand corrected. Not quite 8 months. I received my 2nd Stimulus today, July 28, 2021. IRS reversed their 'correction' on my 2020 tax return from $600 down to zero refund and then back to $600 refund. (They had denied my Recovery Rebate Credit)They claim the change was based on information I provided. No, actually, a change based on information IRS had shelved. Namely, results of the check trace.They turned an easy fix into 7 long months and 7 hours on the phone with clueless, inept, DISDAINFUL, and useless customer service reps.This lazy, sloppy agency was broken by the burden of stimulus checks and Covid. Expect huge delays in tax refunds for the next several years.Kudos to Senator Sinema for her help in giving the IRS a wakeup call.

I have had no luck with anything that has to do with the IRS! I'm not trying to be rude but over 2 months and not got my refund and with the world the way it is right now behind on lots of stuff you think they care about your money? Nope unless you owe them!! I've called and called no matter what number and can't take my call no matter what day or time doesn't matter customer service went out the window everywhere but you would think that these people would be on our side and understand under our circumstances but they don't. So now I have over $4,000 sitting on somebody's desk while I'm going under thanks a lot.
