Standard expected La Quinta. New. Creative. Neon lights in the rooms. Nice bed. Standard American breakfast. Free parking. Everything is expected and that’s just good! What kind of traveler-hating architect came up with doors to adjoining rooms!? You can hear all your neighbors just fine; half the night with your neighbors’ TV is guaranteed!

Unfortunately this hotel has seen better days. We chose this location because we were traveling with our tiny dog. For only an extra $25 a night she could stay with us. Lol.Cons:The hotel had an. . . Odor. Carpets in the hallways were FILTHY. Stained, bleached spots ALL over, spills, and just plain disgusting. The water feature in the lobby, the "bubble" wall was only ⅓ working. Lights burnt out all over, Only half the "mood lighting" led light strips worked, fit and finish just seemed old and forgotten. Broken trim, base moldings. The luggage trollys were wobbly, my suitcases fell off multiple times from rocking back and forth while pulling the trolly, and one of the two had a flat tire.In the room, the shower looks like it might have been nice 30 years ago. The stainless steel overhead "rain shower" just gushed water out of its side like a garden hose, the normal showerhead sprayed water all over in different directions, and the thin from age fabric shower curtain allowed the aberrant water sprays to spray all over the floor and walls. Everything got soaked in the bathroom when we tried to take showers. The drywall in the bathroom was soft and squishy and falling off the wall in places. The room, just like the rest of the hotel was past it's prime, chipped, worn, broken and shows major deferred maintenence. The lighting in the room was "special" indirect lighting behind the headboard and two low powered in ceiling LEDs. I could not read without using my cell phone flashlight.Complementary coffee in the breakfast area was instant. Just don't offer coffee if you have to use a dispenser like that. Some staff were indifferent and just unpleasant, must not be a great place to work or they were having a bad week.Pros:Just off of i10 and near shopping and restaurants, decent area of town. The carpet and tile in the room seemed fairly clean, as well as the sheets. Comfortable bed and the hide a bed wasn't horrible. The water was nice and hot, even if it went everywhere. Some of the staff seamed nice and smiled. The breakfast "attendant" was pleasant.Covered parkingOverall:For the price, $170 a night plus $25 a night pet fees, I've stayed at FAR FAR nicer hotels at the same "star level" for less $$. This LaQuinta is just above a Motel 6 or Red Roof. I havent stayed in a LaQuinta for years, they used to be quality, clean places to stay. We probably won't go back to LaQuinta if this is how they run things.

We do enjoy this location, and the service is normally great. Unfortunately, on this visit our suite smelled like old food. We explained the issue and asked at the front desk for housekeeping to spray a little air freshener in our room, but if they did it didn't help. Very disappointing.

Very clean rooms, nice service, close to a lot of businesses so it's a convenient stay.

This was the nicest La Quinta I have ever stayed at! Right off the highway, clean, safe, and conveniently located next to lots of shopping and dining options. All of the staff I encountered were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and courteous. The modern decor and upscale lighting were nice touches and the pool area made it feel like a real desert oasis–all that and a great breakfast! I would highly recommend staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat!!

Better than expected. Room was clean and quiet. We left a bit later than planned and we're able to relax. My service dog was accepted without question.

Maintenance and housekeeping very POOR. Found numerous BUGS (ROACHES) in our room and reported it to the front desk with no response. Floors including carpeting were DIRTY. To many maintenance issues to write here. We stayed at a different La Quinta property a few weeks ago and it was as bad or worse than this one, so we figured since this one was more expensive and rated higher it would be better (WRONG). We will look outside of Wyndham properties for our future stays.

This hotel had ZERO redeeming qualities. There were blood stains on the mattress, dead bugs next to the bed, and a leaky ceiling. The receptionist, Megan, has a terrible attitude and expected us to stay in that uninhabitable condition, meanwhile the manager, Judith, doesn’t actually contact you to resolve any issues. Please check their yelp for my full description of this hotel and be sure to STAY AWAY! It looks like I wasn’t the only person to have this experience and I’ll be sure to let corporate know about that.Edit: to Megan - slamming a paper down in front of customers and telling them that they need to take the room because you’ve “already swapped rooms enough” is not the same as offering a new room. You wouldn’t even let us see the room or talk to your manager! You and Judith have my number, but neither of you have called to discuss the issues, so I fail to see how you are “taking the appropriate measures to address the problem.” Do better.Rooms: Rooms are in very poor condition. Blood stains, bugs, and leaky ceilings galore.Noteworthy details: Terrible customer service.

I had bugs in my room. I wouldn't recommend staying there. The vents to the air conditioner was not clean and buttons were missing on it so I couldn't turn it off

We had to switch rooms at 11:30 at night after my husband went to the bathroom and there was a cockroach that was about an inch and a half sitting on the bathroom floor. There was no apology from anybody involved.

This hotel is super clean. I did not get to experience breakfast. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a gym they have a pool. They have a microwave in the fridge. Not to mention the rain shower, which is extremely nice. They also have very comfortable beds. The rooms were recently renovated you truly cannot go wrong staying here, it’s not that hard to fine nor is it that hard to get back in for two there is a Cracker Barrel and a Texas roadhouse within walking distance. If you’re up for it, there’s a Walmart along with many other shopping facilities, less than a quarter of a mile away.Safety: This hotel is extremely safe and it’s very well lit up at night, and they have all angles of the building covered with security cameras. See you do not have to worry about anything.

We had a room on the second floor by the stairwell. It was very comfortable and clean. The beds were very nice and cozy. The room was fully renovated a few years ago and it was nice. Fridge and microwave in room. Unique rain shower head fixtures in the rooms. This was one of the nicer/better La Quinta’s we’ve stayed at. Definitely slept well here.FYI for CAT OWNERS: We had our cat with us and great news, they can not get underneath the beds (ours tried) but they can get under the sink vanity to hide.

The hotel is good for the price. The one complaint I have is the very strong cleaning chemical odor in the room. I think it's to mask the dog smell. We opened the window and was able to air out the room after a few hours.
