These guys are awesome! Dropped my Bronco off for a drivetrain issue. Turns out was more of an engine problem. They recommended a great shop to get it fixed and didn't even charge me. Hard to find places like this anymore! Highly recommend!

So, my 2015 Chevy 2500hd was making some serious noise from the rear differential. After calling several differential companies in Tucson and not liking what they had to say and feeling like they were out to rip me off, my neighbor recommended calling Darrell at Lloyd's. I called. I was very impressed and felt like Darrell was a straightshooter. I took my truck down, and Darrell was awesome . He definitely knows what he is talking about and is very professional. He explained everything thing to me and sent photos of my damaged gear set that was causing the noise. Now my truck drives like a completely different like new truck with no noise. I'm very impressed and highly recommend Lloyd's.Thanks for the awesome service. You guys are great.

Let me just say if you need work done look no further than Lloyd's. My daughter's car needed work done on the differential while she's away at School. I was worried about not being able to be there to help but was lucky to find Darrell and Lisa. They got the car in right away, knowing she had no way to get back and forth to school and work. After speaking to them on the phone several times I knew my daughter was in good hands. Darrell got the car done and her back on the road the next day. I can't thank them enough or say enough good things about this family run business, that treats you like family! Darrell and LIsa you are simply the BEST!! THANK YOU!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Darryl knows what he is doing. Would trust him hands down with any rebuild. Don't go anywhere else. I'm in collision repair and know most everyone and he will be getting my business.

Darrell and his friend were able to quickly diagnose a problem with my EXPLODER that no one else in town could figure out. They were clearly incredibly knowledgeable and were highly invested in doing actual problem solving (unlike so many other shops). Highly recommend. ?

I was referred to Lloyd's by other XMSN shops in Tucson. I was surprised to find that most shops only work on automatics, but all of them said Lloyd's was THE go to for manual work. I called them up, had a conversation about the 6BT/NV4500 swap I was doing in my 1996 Land Cruiser. They were on board with all the work and told me to bring it all down. They tore down the NV4500, cleaned the cases, installed the new output shaft, all new wear parts, a '98+ top cover assembly, 4WD tail housing, and even ordered and installed a short shift kit at my request. They went beyond my expectations on leg work to track down all the parts I needed. I was in no hurry to get it back, but they still got it done before I thought they could. They even made it a point to ensure I knew what fluid to use. Great experience. I will be going back for some drive line work on my 1997 LS swapped Land Cruiser. They have my full recommendation for manual XMSN, axle, t-case, or gear work.Service: Transmission

The manual transmission on my 2009 Toyota Matrix stopped working last month. Since I could no longer shift gears while the engine was running I assumed that my clutch would have to be replaced. I checked out a few repair shops and was quoted between $1500 and $2000 for the repair. Finally drove a friend's car to Lloyd's, and Darrell questioned me about the problem I was experiencing. After going over the symptoms, he explained that since my clutch had not been slipping, the problem was most likely caused by the simpler (and much less expensive) failure of the clutch slave cylinder. This is a simple $70 mechanism, in a separate hydraulic system, that makes the clutch release when you step on the clutch pedal. After talking with Darrell, he convinced me that I could make this relatively simple repair before possibly paying big bucks to replace a perfectly good clutch. A few days later my old transmission was working like new. As mentioned in other reviews, this business is run by a family of the highest integrity that seem ultimately motivated by making sure that every one of their customers is happy to have met them. Lloyds Transmission and Drivetrain , there is so much good qualities about this business and staff. They are honest, loyal, high quality, friendly, family owned and the best in Arizona, hands down. There is no other shop I would ever take my Differentials for gear swaps and or complete rebuild !!! Lloyds will build a product with the quality that will last a lifetime with proper maintenance. Don’t cut corners , get it done right the first time and give them a call.1998 4Runner (rear end rebuild)1966 mustang (8.8 , 4:10 gear swapped from 3:73)

So I have been trying to have this shop take my money for a long time and they jost will not. I have an 88.5 Suzuki Samurai project car that has been sitting for over 16 years. I thought I was having some transmission issues but it was diagnosed as a bad cable and I should also do a fluid swap. They walked me through the process and encouraged me to wrench on my own ride. It was really easy and after was all said and done I probably saved over 1k changing all the fluids and installing the lift and new clutch cable. What I found is the cable was frayed in a hidden spot so the clutch was always engaged. If you are looking for an honest shop that specializes in Jeeps, transmissions, clutches, and powertrain upgrades this is the place. Keep in mind this is a small shop with limited capacity and they are always packed with customers.
