What a fabulous place! The hotel grounds and surrounding mountains offer spectacular views and really show off the unique landscape that is Tucson. I highly recommend it.

I recently visited Loews Ventana Canyon Resort as part of the FHR program by AMEX. The resort is located in the foothills of a canyon and is surrounded by mountain views. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The resort also has a number of amenities, including a spa, a fitness center, and several restaurants. I had a great experience at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort and would definitely recommend it to others.

This is the type of hotel that you will want to return to as we did. The ambiance of the hotel, the rooms, the lounge area for drinks/food/watch a sporting event, are all inviting.

Super nice location in the foothills of a canyon. Easy parking and staff arranged to put us in the room type we requested for $25 up charge. That was unexpected, but worth it. Our third floor room had a balcony and a bit of a view. Much better than ground floor, facing the parking lot and the anticipated encounter with the creepy crawlers often found with cool night and warm morning when in the desert.Rooms: TV and technology, i.e. the WIFI, were noticeably out dated. WiFi sign-on and often being dropped, was cumbersome and frustrating.

Tucked away, quiet, amazing views, great golf courses. Spectacular service. Minus the heat not working in our room during a cold period in AZ, everything else was great about this resort!

I stayed here, with my friend, for 2 nights. The people at the front desk were terse, rude, and unaccommodating. My friend received the 2 nights as a gift from her daughters. They all have the same name but since the reservation was paid for, by one daughter, the reservation was in the daughter's name. The 2 ladies assisting my friend were just plain RUDE. They were humiliating my friend stating that if the reservation was for, they should have written her name on the reservation. My friend attempted to explain that her daughters, who live in Australia, called the resort to let them know the reservation was a Christmas gift, both women just ignored what she was saying. I felt so embarrassed for my friend, who is in her mid 70's. Those ladies need to take a course on being empathetic and treating seniors with respect, not like we are stupid. The only kind person was a young gentleman named Safe. The entire ordeal, getting the reservation, the key, and the old run down room, was about an hour. This was with a prepaid room. The front desk experience basically ruined our stay. I'd never recommend this Loews to anyone. You're better off going to Loews in any other place, not here. The rooms and hallways need to be updated, too.Rooms: Rooms are old and outdated. You could hear children screaming in the pool all day and evening. Not relaxing at all.

Wow is all I have to say. This is by far the nicest resort I’ve ever stayed with the most pleasant staff. We were kindly upgraded to a suite by the rooms coordinator at check in and it was my birthday weekend and it made it so special and memorable. There’s not enough words to speak to this resort and the incredibly special memories we were able to create here. The landscape and walking trails were gorgeous and well maintained; every staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful, and overall pleasant.I can’t say enough good things about every aspect of this resort.Rooms: The rooms were spotless, large, comfortable and cozy. The views of Tucson and the mountains were unbelievable. My favorite part of the rooms was definitely the large tubs (one with jacuzzi jets even!).Food & drinks: The breakfast banana brûlée waffle was by far the best (sweet) breakfast I’ve ever had. I will remember this dish forever!

We were disappointed with our stay. The quality of the property is exceptional but was marketed as being kid friendly and a golf resort. Front desk staff didn’t know green fees and advised to visit golf office as “golf was through a third party”. This came as a big surprise as was lack of any offers for guests. There were no activities for kids or guests which makes you wonder what resort fee covers particularly when it’s freezing cold outdoors. Staff could be better trained - lacked information about laundry services and took almost 40 mins to get a sewing kit. Also lacked any concierge desk with local activities and services to make most of the region. We really wanted to love it but the service doesn’t match the premium property and brand.
