The absolute worst experience I've ever had. I ordered an Italian beef with cheese and hot peppers for an additional 50¢ each. What I got was a soggy mess without cheese and no peppers but it did have all the juice from the bottom of the container that the peppers came in. The biggest resemblance of a pepper was a slice of celery and seeds. I couldn't pick up the sandwich because the bread was so soggy. When I took the sandwich back to have them to correct the situation they argued with me about the validity of my complaint and charged me an additional 85¢ to add cheese. When my sandwich was returned all they had done was stuff two pieces of cold cheese on the side of the sandwich and returned the sandwich to me. I threw the sandwich away and left.

The food and the dipping sauce did not taste the same like "fresh"

Most amazing food ever! I had the pastrami sandwich my husband got the meatball and my son the Italian beef. These sandwiches are huge and you will be craving them again the next day! Best pastrami I've ever had meatball as well. Just awesome food, awesome employees, very satisfied!

I rolled up at 8:25 on a Saturday and they told me they couldn't serve me any food because the grill was off. Why don't you turn off your lights and close at 8:00 if you're not going to serve your guests?

All tables dirty with food on them. Slimy. Fries not fully cooked. Hot dog.. stale bun. It looks like someone really cared about this place at one time, but not anymore. Avoid eating here.

Great food. One of my favorite spots in Tucson I enjoyed the Italian roast beef Sandwich and the Crinkle cut fries Definitely beats any other chain out there. Took a new friend this trip and he had a half sausage half Italian beef with cheese, hot and sweet peppers. I think I got him hooked. Also ran into another newcomer while ordering my mother's to go sandwich. I told him trust me start with Italian beef. You'll be hooked and be coming back for more. Been coming here since 1994 when I worked at Fry's, and the food always meets expectations .

Edit: changing to a 1 star because they charged me a few bucks more than it should have totaled. If you do decide to go here make sure you check the receipt. It's a decent beef sandwich but pretty flavorless, despite it being soaked in au jus. They charge extra for cheese and "sweet peppers" but those were not sweet. Also, the fries are just basic crinkle cut so I'm not sure the other reviewers ever had proper fries.

Meatball sub? As a newbie here, I found *food in Tucson* fb page.... someone asked where to find the best MEATBALL SUB. Many said LUKES. I went yesterday to Luke's Italian Beef on S. Alvernon and it was DELISH x 10. One of the 3 super large meatballs (bigger than a 4 month old baby's fist) , fell out of my sandwich. That was the sign to NOT eat this amazing sandwich in one meal. Delish needs to be said again. Can't wait to go back and try out their specialty, the Italian Beef sandwich b4 I head back to NH.

Tucson does not need another sandwich shop when you have Luke's Italian beef. Enough

Never eat here again. Ordered the brat n it was disgusting. I took a bite and threw the rest away. About an hour later I was nauseous. I called and asked how it was cooked and was told it was boiled and fried but my brat was flat gray, no signs of frying. When I called, I was told they're "precooked" but mine was still pink n uncooked on the inside. Was also given an attitude like I was lying. Tried uploading pix but won't let me
