5 Stars – A True Miracle Worker
Emily is a miracle worker. I came in after a family member completely butchered my hair, turning my below chest-length hair into a choppy mess with sections cut up to my chin. I truly thought there was no saving it and that I’d have to cut it all off.
Not only did Emily reassure me, she took the time to carefully work with what was left and completely transformed my hair. She gave me a beautiful, seamless layered cut with a fringe that looked intentional and stylish. You would never know how uneven and damaged it was when I walked in.
I had a festival to attend in two days and Emily absolutely saved me. I walked out feeling confident and more than a little amazed. I’ve definitely found my new favorite hair stylist in Tucson. She’s incredibly skilled, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about the result. Highly recommend.

From the consultation to the final reveal, I was treated like a VIP. Every step was explained with care, the products were top-notch, and the attention to detail blew me away. The staff? Simply amazing. Each stylist radiated skill, kindness, and confidence. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in their work.

[TL;DR - If you're one of those people that wished the hair washing stage at the salon lasted longer, then a Japanese Head Spa is for you! And they're the only ones in town doing it.]

While looking for a new hair salon, I came across a photo of a Japanese Head Spa in their reviews. I went online and immediately booked an appointment. I also added on toner/gloss and a blowout.
I have always wanted to try it ever since I stumbled on a video of a girl getting it done in Japan several years ago. The closest I ever got was booking a scalp massage and shampoo only at a salon in Vietnam, but it was out in the open with other people around you getting the same thing done.
Locating Maple Leaf and parking were easy. Upon entering the establishment, I received a friendly greeting as I waited for my stylist, Naz. I grabbed a couple of mini water bottles at their coffee station while I waited. It looked like they had a little champagne bar, too.
Naz led me to a private room. I looked around, enjoying the ambiance, and was already feeling a bit more centered. She had me put on a velcroed towel and lay under the cozy sheets and blanket.
I spoke of issues that I have with my scalp and she took an up close picture of it. And she explained to me what we would be working on. She offered me an eye mask and ear plugs, but I declined.
The experience was out-of-this-world delicious 🥴 It was so relaxing and invigorating at the same time. She scraped off any build-up on my scalp, shampooed, put on an herbal hair masque, and then proceeded with a scalp, neck, jaw, and shoulder massage. I was in heaven. In addition, having the water gently run on your head and then on your neck was pure bliss.
Later on, she used a pink toner on my hair. I really didn't know what to expect, but it turned out beautifully - making my hair look more ombre. Also, at one point, she put a warm compress on my chest to add to the coziness. She took an after photo of my scalp, and it was plain to see the difference. Not only that, but I could feel it as well; my hair and scalp felt so smooth, clean, fresh, and soft. I never wanted it to end!
We left the room to her chair for the blowout. When she was done, I felt sooooo pretty and pampered afterward. I felt like a pink-haired Jessica Rabbit, sans the height and body, lol.
Naz was truly wonderful and knowledgeable. She explained the treatment and gave advice on aftercare. She was also very personable, chill, and passionate. I thoroughly enjoyed our deep talk.

I specifically asked Alexis not to cut my bangs short, to go longer than she may feel comfortable with becahse my hair curls. She acknowledged this. She then cut my bangs too short. The length was above my eyesbrows while styled straight and now I can't style them curly or straight. I didn't ask for much, only to have an inch cut off in general and to not cut my bangs too short. This is incredibly frustrating considering I told her about my previous experience getting my hair cut and she gave me lots of reassurance. Disappointing.

Naz did an absolutely incredible job with my headspa treatment! My husband gave me a gift card for Mother's Day, and now thanks to Naz, he's gifted me more than just a service — she's gained a client for life. I had no idea how much my scalp needed attention until she worked her magic!

It was my first time at maple leaf hair Co. and it’s safe to say I’ll definitely be coming back! Emily did an amazing job, I asked for a small trim, shaping/layering and some curtain bangs and she delivered! It was such a warm and welcoming environment with good music and vibes. I highly recommend!

Went for the first time to Maple Leaf hair. Alexis was my hairdresser. She was wonderful - I would highly recommend her. Not only did she give me a killer haircut, she was really friendly and nice. She also showed me how to best style my hair, with some great tips. I'll definitely be back - and I've found my new hairdresser!

I am in Tucson for a wedding, and I made an appointment to get my hair done by Erin - she is the sweetest and did a wonderful job. I wanted to get beachy waves for my hair and she did an amazing job. Definitely Recommend her!
