An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! When I was explaining my electrical concerns to Grant, the Manager, he was literally writing them down. Have never seen a shop do that before. He also repeated them back to me, ensuring he understood what work I needed done. I was able to pick up my car the very next day. The crew at Prudence Car Care went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations with professional, courteous customer service with a smile and handshake. I highly recommend taking your car here for superior service!

Left an inquiry roughly 2 weeks ago and they never got back to me. Not even an email or a phone call. You don't want my business? Ok. Well, you can have this bad review too. I won't be recommending you guys to anyone else anymore, maybe Discount Muffler can use some more customers?

Took my Civic in to have it looked over because I was moving to Washington and driving it there. They looked at mileage instead of my car and suggested several things that were already done. I ended up getting Napa struts front right and left that are Junk! Rear shocks, a belt and alignment that I wasn’t charged for. $1700.00.
Drove off the lot and my car had excessive noise from the struts! I couldn’t take it back it was 4pm they were closing and I was leaving for Washington in 12 hours.
I took it 3 places in Washington for opinions and they all said the struts are bad and need replacing. They are under warranty at Prudence only. So here I am 2 months later spending another $1350.00!
Mad doesn’t come close.

I recently brought my Honda Element into Prudence Car Care Center after noticing some troubling symptoms that had me worried about a possible blown head gasket. From the moment I walked in, I was met with professionalism, honesty, and a genuinely welcoming attitude. The staff took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, asked good follow-up questions, and assured me they’d take a thorough look to get to the bottom of the issue.
They ran a full diagnostic on the car, and after a detailed inspection, they informed me that the problem wasn’t just a blown head gasket—it was a cracked engine block. Not the news any car owner wants to hear, but I truly appreciated how upfront and transparent they were about the situation. They explained everything in a way I could understand, answered all my questions patiently, and never tried to upsell or pressure me into any immediate decision.
What really impressed me was that despite all the time and effort they put into the diagnostic process, they didn’t charge me anything for it. That kind of integrity and decency is incredibly rare these days, especially in the auto repair world. They easily could have charged me just for the evaluation, but they chose to treat me with kindness and respect instead.
Their communication throughout the process was excellent—I always felt informed and never left in the dark. They kept me updated on what they were checking and what they were seeing, and even when delivering bad news, they did it with empathy and professionalism.
In the end, I chose to take the car back without having them do the repair work, but I will absolutely be returning to Prudence Car Care Center for any future work on my vehicles. It’s hard to find a shop that values honesty over quick profit, and that treats customers like people instead of invoices. These guys do exactly that.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy, transparent, and friendly place to take your car—whether it’s for a major repair or just a routine check—this is the shop. Great people, excellent service, and a level of integrity that speaks for itself. Highly recommended.

I had the transmission on my 2014 civic serviced by David . I came to this shop because they have done excellent work for family in the past and this reputation holds true . While getting the initial service they found my serpentine belt was dry rotted and had David not brought this to my attention I would be likely found out about this somewhere far down the highway . They patched my tire and tightened my lug nuts ( one was missing ) . The service was done quickly despite a few surprises and customer service was straight to the point and courteous.
If reading nothing else in this review , please take away that this shop is professional and specialized to take care of your Asian motor .

** AVOID *** Rip-Off Artists who will prey on you !
ALAS.. Prudence Car Care was sold a year ago and it is NOT the Same TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST SERVICE it was for so many years. Such a shame !
For THREE YEARS, my college student took their car to Prudence Car Care. We TRUSTED THEM and were not notified that Prudence had been sold to someone that rip you off!
For the final time before my WC drives the car across the country, Ryan tells us that apparently $2,000 worth of work needs to be done.... "OK.. let's have a conversation"
--> When I called and questioned it, I was told by Ryan that "this work should have been done at 60,000 miles and never was" and "he wouldn't trust the car to drive across the country without it". --> Um?? The car has been at Prudence Care Car for numerous times over the past THREE YEARS and NO ONE but Ryan noticed all this work needed to be done???
--> This work included replacing tires that had 18,000 miles on them
--> We didn't have a choice as the car has to make it to the east coast.
--> Ryan also said he would call to have a further conversation with us... guess what he went home. When I called and spoke to Tony, Tony didn't know anything about the repairs or the $2,000 bill.
--> I took the receipt to MY REPUTABLE Car Center and they reviewed the history on CarFax.. hmmm...
--> several repairs were done AT PRUDENCE CAR CARE, when I told Ryan this, his next excuse was "I just bought this place a year ago and have no records from work done on cars prior to that"... um?? Why didn't he say that, I would have brought in the paper copies
--> Ryan tried to sell my child a new starter, but Prudence Car Care put a new starter in 13 months ago.
** GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !!! PRUDENCE CAR CARE WILL RIP YOU OFF **

Took my car in for an unknown issue. They were able to diagnose correctly and fix it in one day. It was greatly appreciated not to have to keep coming back multiple times to get an issue fixed. I can't comment on the affordability as I did not have time to go from place to place for price comparisons. The price I paid was worth having no more issues afterward. It's been about a month now and running like new.

My mom’s car wouldn’t start and we were able to get it to Prudence. They took care of our problem without charging a diagnostic fee. Other dealers were going to charge $175. Tony was a complete professional and went above and beyond the call of duty to help my 87 year old mother. I strongly recommend them.

Ron and his crew were the best and most honest but Ron retired and I think half his crew is gone. Changed ownership few months ago. Changed service manager about 2 months ago. Changed rates too - I was quoted higher than dealer for timing belt and water pump last month. Going back to the dealer. At the very minimum I know I will get genuine Honda parts. Worst case I'll pay for Honda parts I may not really need right now. Giving 5 stars because I did get full brake service done perfect under new ownership but original crew and decent service manager about 3 months ago.
