Location was excellent. Staff was great. Rooms are old. The bathroom was dirty, not that it hadn’t been cleaned, but it clearly had not been deep cleaned. The crud around the toilet hinges told me everything I needed to know. There were also ants in the bathroom. Which wasn’t much of a problem. The chair in the room was stained. Overall my experience wasn’t horrible. Definitely would not stay there again.

I unfortunately can't recommend this hotel at all. I was supposed to stay here for 3 nights for work. I always look at the reviews before booking a hotel, and it seemed like most of the negative ones were just about the rooms being outdated. I figured, I can deal with that. There were one or two semi-recent ones that mentioned finding bugs/roaches, but I figured any hotel will have that rare occurrence. I don't think it's rare at all here.I felt a little weirded out by the fact that there was only one other car in the parking lot besides mine. There were two employees in the lobby when I arrived. I never saw evidence of a single other guest besides me while I was there. Both of those employees were very kind and helpful. I checked in, but with my first room, the physical latch that should only be able to be closed from the inside was blocking me from opening the door. I went back to the lobby, and the employees apologized and said that door does that sometimes, and they put me in a different room. That room was probably 85 degrees when I walked in, pretty humid, and the AC/fan wasn't on. I'm not necessarily expecting hotels to keep unoccupied rooms cold, but for the hour or two I was there, I had the AC turned down to 69 degrees, and I don't think it ever got below 80. The room looked a little grimy when I walked in-- some small stains and smudges on the furniture, sheets, bedskirt, etc. There were three cigarette burn holes on the arm of the sofa (see photo). I was prepared to deal with that, but when I turned on the light in the bathroom, a roach about 3 inches long started running up the wall. I took a video but was only able to attach a screenshot of it.I brought my things back to the lobby and quietly explained the situation to one of the employees. The reaction I'd usually expect is, "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry, let me move you to another room." The one I got was, "Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes. I'll come with you to kill it?" Again, she was very nice, but I was concerned that this seemed like an everyday thing. She killed the roach (it had run into the hall by the time she was able to squish it), and left it on the carpet. It was still there when I ended up choosing to cancel my stay and leave about an hour later. With roaches, if there's any, there's many, and there were a few places in the room where a pipe or something went into the wall, and it wasn't properly sealed, so there was a pretty big hole where things could come in through the wall. The front desk employee was very understanding when I came back to cancel the reservation, and she didn't seem surprised that I was choosing to do so. I asked for a receipt of the cancellation because it was for work, and she said she didn't know what the receipt would be for since I wouldn't be charged anything. I was confused because I was under the impression that I'd still be charged for one night, but I assumed that meant it was being waived. I asked for an email confirmation, which was sent after I left and showed that my company card was still charged for one night. Alas.

My new favorite affordable overnight accommodation in Tucson, and in a truly fantastic location! Right downtown! Nice! Beautifully appointed and wonderfully decorated SUPER-PLUSH suites complete with a cozy king-sized bed, love seat, desk, table, second sink, and all of the possible appliances included that one might only hope for elsewhere.Kaila, our day desk manager, facilitated our unreserved check-in like a breeze what with her abundant charm and superlative knack for high-end hospitality. I can't imagine it possible that anyone else could possibly be her equal on weekdays at this fine establishment! This was my first time staying here but I must say after this delightful experience that it most certainly will not be my last!Kudos!Rooms: Wonderfully appointed and the staff is SO meticulous!

I lived here for the month of June. The location, value, and service is wonderful. The employees are professional and accomodating. I appreciated the coin operated guest laundry, large pool that’s open until 11 PM, and free street car access for my extended stay. However, I saw 7 large live roaches and 2 dead roaches in my hotel room during my month-long stay. The hotel routinely sprays for roaches once a month but does not spray the individual rooms. If you’re planning to stay here in the summer time, close the drains at night, don’t leave food trash out, wear your shoes inside, and maybe keep your belongings in closed containers like your suitcase or a plastic tote.Noteworthy details: This location has a street car stop that is free in the summertime and takes you right to the university of arizona past several cute shops, bars, and spots to eat and study.

This hotel has the "A" mountain in its backyard, close to i10 and only a few minutes from downtown and university.Pros:------ Inside rooms have a nice patio to have morning breakfast and gathering in evening- They offer free breakfast- Rooms are big, the sink is outside the bathroom, which is very convenient- They provide iron, fridge, microwave, locker in the room etc.- Streetcar station is in front of the hotel- There are two tennis courts- A big swimming pool- Excellent serviceCons :------- Faucet, sink, bathtub are very old- You need to let the front desk know if AC doesn't work- In general the hotel is rustic, a big bar near the swimming pool is like an abandoned place- Common bathrooms sometime out of soapOverall a good hotel with some caveats, I enjoyed breakfast and patio sitting in the morning and evening.Walkability: Walking distance from streetcar

Had a paid reservation through AAA for a two queen handicap room for three people, got there and the only available was a king handicapped room. They said they would make up a couch sleeper. We said ok. Made up, meant a mattress pad and a torn blanket. They brought two pillows and another torn blanket when I called the office. We were too tired to take it any further so our disabled son slept between two torn blankets. $226.00 a night. Should have taken pictures but I didn't think of it.

It was a good place to stay during a long work week. Never had any issues. It wasn't very busy, I had the pool and Whirlpool to myself one night.

Front desk employees were pleasant and bed was clean, that's all the positive. Both faucets had toothpaste splatters, wall switches were dirty, blow dryer filthy, tub dingy, cheetos on the carpet.Rooms: The sheets were clean but besides that the room was dirty. I bring lysol wipes with me when I travel, it took a dozen to clean things enough to be comfortable enough to stay there.Safety: Did not feel safe there

No hot water, had to stick our finger under a cabinet to flush the toilet. Dirty room and tub. Had to room move and there was the previous guest sandwich in the fridge. Dust balls under the couch. Jacuzzi was dirty trash was never emptied in 4 days. Would NOT recommend staying here! Cockroach on the bathroom wall. Paid waaay too much money for this ghetto room.

This place is an absolute dump and should be torn down immediately. I can't believe I got swindled into paying $200/night to stay here because the Doubletree was sold out. The photos and description are 100% misleading. The woman the front desk had the audacity to tell me that the hotel was almost sold out because of the concert. I counted 10 cars in the parking lot. Such a joke!! now I see why. DO NOT STAY HERE.
