This place was probably the place to stay back in the 80's-90's! Interior looks like it was a gathering place for the upper class. Now, not so much. The rooms are in desperate need of updates. The dresser has holes in them from the old TVs that used to be bolted down, stains, and overall just something you may see at an antique shop. The bathroom was not the cleanest and had rusted out trim in the shower. The floors were sticky. The smell of cleaning chemicals was so thick I could almost taste them about half the night. The place is a fortress though and we felt nice and safe as you have to have a room key to use the elevators and stairs. Didn't have a chance to try the free breakfast as we had to leave before they started serving (7am on weekends). Probably will not stay here again unless there is some renovation, but not a horrible place to rest your head for just a night.

The room was filthy, smelled of sewer gases, lamp shades were so caked with dust, the bedding was barely adequate (worn and beyond think and had a makeshift bedskirt). The furniture had numerous cigarette burns (despite the no-smoking room) and was nicked and scraped, along with many areas of the baseboard. There were coffee grounds in the Keurig water reservoir. I felt very unsafe on this property. At check in, there were 8 cars parked in the semi-circular drive that are supposed to be reserved for guest check in. The automatic door opener was not operable, causing much difficulty to get luggage into the property through a single door on a luggage cart that was poorly maintained. I asked staff about the cars parked in the semi-circle area and they responded they did not know who the cars belonged to (nor were they at all concerned about it). Many of those same cars were also there throughout the 2+ days. The lunch served 2 days during the seminar was mostly cold, late being served and disgusting except for the salad they served. If you have an alternate choice, stay elsewhere. The nearly $100 cost per night was beyond overpriced. No amount could have made the stay worth it.

We checked out a day early because our room was so gross. The bathroom sink was full of something black - which confirmed that no one had been in that room to clean when we saw the microwave and coffee full of dust. 3 ROACHES!! 2 in the bathroom and one in the living room table!!!! The vents were caked with dust. The carpet looked like a crime scene with so many stains. The outside and lobby area are beautiful, but the room DID NOT reflect that AT ALL!! My husband used the restroom in the lobby area and said it was no better or cleaner than our room. Just go somewhere else!!!Rooms: Old and dirty

Been in this hotel twice and had great experience both times. The 2nd time I had no hairdryer in the room I stayed at and the toilet wasn't cleaned properly. I think this is a beautiful hotel, and the staff & house keepers I've met have been really friendly. Charging outlets need to be fixed since there's no covering on it. The free breakfast in the morning is great!

This is "The Hotel That Just Gave Up"I just spent two nights here. If it was not hosting the most amazing people at an event worth crossing the entire country to attend, I would have bounced from this mess after my first walk-through. I was traveling alone but if Lady Matilda had been with me, we would not have even made it to the room. In my other reviews, I try to be mindful of hotel staff who are working hard despite bad conditions. The staff, except the front desk team, was friendly and worked hard. I had to call the hotel to get the special rate for a "Deluxe Suite" and the rate was fantastic. I noted that the hotel website makes a distinction between "single rooms" and "suites" and I specifically asked for the "suite" when I called to reserve my room. I didn't leave any payment information. I was given a number over the phone that did not come up when I tried to confirm my reservation online. A few days before my arrival, I called and a bored-sounding person informed me that I had a single room with double beds. She was unable to do anything about it because she said that my reservation was handled by the sales team and they were not available.I brokered a resolution through the event and was told that the correction had been made. However, when I arrived, another bored and weary-looking desk clerk informed me that I had a single room with a queen bed. Again, she could do nothing about it because the sales team was gone and no "suites" were available. Given the price, I didn't have the motivation to press the issue. It seems that the sales team refers to all rooms as "suites" and that there are different "suites" that are bigger and more elaborate. The desk clerk said that I could take the room or cancel the reservation, whatever. The room was bigger than I needed, but the use of descriptions was needlessly deceptive and confusing. It's a multi-sectioned "single room" that other hotels could call a suite, but the website's photos made a distinction. Note that I've just gotten out of registration at this point in the narrative. I will summarize the bigger issues.1. Damaged furniture. Broken drawers; wobbling tables; the room door was warped and wedged into the frame; few and non-functional outlets; burnt-out lightbulbs; holes in the tabletops; stains on the carpet; poorly-covered holes in the wall; a sink that sprays everywhere; and a shower with pressure and temperature that shifted based on the use in other rooms. This extended to the larger hotel itself. Long, dark streaks in the hallway carpets from the elevators across the hallway; most of the urinals were broken in the event men's room, and two of the stalls were not functioning properly; and meeting rooms that could not stay unlocked and had to be held open with empty soda cans. The refrigerator worked so the lunch that had been left behind in it was cold. The top of the fridge was sticky. The window sill was dusty, and the windows themselves had not been cleaned in a long time as evidenced by finger streaks across the glass clearing a thick layer of sticky dust. Crumbs on the floor. Dog kibble in the corner. And this is the room I had allegedly been "upgraded" to.2. Dated, worn fixtures. What might have looked great 30 or 40 years ago is faded into ugly pastel peach and tan. The working fountain at the center of it all was pretty, but blocked by a ring of ugly, graying stone barricade walls and four faded Pepto pink elevator towers. The open-air concept must have looked amazing once with a big open cream tile floor open to the three floors above and a bar toward one side, but it felt like it had been empty for a long time with an abandoned bar and a big open space occupied by heavy iron and glass patio furniture. Because this was a convention, I visited different rooms and I got the impression that the hotel just bought salvaged furniture sets from other hotels and threw them into the rooms that were too badly damaged to be liveabl

to start with the positive the staff was very nice and accommodating. Furthermore, the breakfast provided by the hotel was the best Mexican breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is very rundown and dated. You can tell by its appearance and smell. It is very old and needs a lot of TLC. It is a very cool old-school hotel, but definitely needs to be upgraded with the current times. Everything from power outlets to things like ironing, boards, carpet, blinds, etc. everything was broken or somehow worn completely out. At $300 a night it’s obvious the money is not going back into the upkeep of the facility. Hands down one of the most rundown Wyndham facilities I’ve ever stayed in. But I do not want to take anything away from the staff. They were all very nice friendly folks and extremely accommodating! The hotel was quiet!

If you need Wi-Fi. This isn't the place for you. They have 10 different Wi-Fi connections that pop up and they all are dogshit.

Our AC at home broke so we needed a cool place to stay. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Upon walking into the hotel we were met with an overwhelming smell of chemicals, kind of like the way super glue smells. The front desk staff was pleasant but not very helpful. They got us our keys and sent us on our way. Navigating the hotel was interesting, but once we found our room we were met with another issue. The room smelt like a smoking room that was poorly converted to nonsmoking. The whole place was dirty, dusty and dingy. The bed cover had small holes all over that look as though someone had put cigarettes out on the bed or maybe bugs are eating away at the covers? Not to mention the stains on the top cover and even on their towels. It had just rained so the windowsill was covered in rainwater. We noticed the door to the room had some damage, not sure if someone had tried breaking in or it’s normal wear and tear? After spending maybe 10 minutes in the hotel my asthma started to flare up and with that I knew we could not stay at this property. We went to the front desk and let them know that the overwhelming smells in the hotel were affecting my asthma. They were apologetic and understanding and checked us out of the hotel. We were told they would be calling the company we booked the hotel with to get a refund started for us and to give them a call back the next day so they could update us. We did just that but when we called back the next day we were told whoever helped us gave us wrong information and we actually have to call the company to get our refund. We called the company which we booked with and they informed us that the hotel is telling them we are still checked in and cannot help us. So not only does this hotel smell awful, aggravate allergies and asthma, be absolutely grimy, they also will try to scam you. If pretending to be a hotel in the first place isn’t a scam enough.Rooms: Outdated, dirty, smelly.

My brother and family members stayed at The Viscount Suites from around the country for The Douglas Family Gathering. You gave my family members a nice discount. Thank you for that blessing. I will continue to do business with you in the near future! May God almighty richly bless your business! Nancy.......

To start off the customer service was amazing they were some of the best customer I have seen in a long time it is very rare nowadays to find such great service. The rooms were a little outdated but they were still nice and very spacious and clean big television and super comfortable beds. All around a very nice place I would definitely recommend staying here.

You can tell this used to be more high end in a previous life. I was a bit taken back by the fact that they do not have fitted sheets. most rooms have some sort of slight damage/imperfections but i do believe all are suites that have a locking door to the main bed area as well as a quaint living space as well. Its very cozy and breakfast was a breakfast burrito buffet one day having sausage and the next bacon as an option. I was a touch upset that no apple juice was offered (I LOVE apple juice..yes I'm an adult, but I still love it) but they did have clean testing ice water and o.j. Also a little box that made the cutest little pancakes. The morning crew was very pleasant with no issues to my requested late checkout. All and all I'd say it's a lot better of a place than it gets credit for. The price per night was unbelievably low, I'm assuming because it was off season. To think I almost passed it up because of the ratings....It was nice quiet and comfortable and I wish I could stay longer.Rooms: I loved the elongated suites that would allow for privacy had I decided to have other guests visit or perhaps stay as there was ample room for others while still keeping the bedroom area privateFood & drinks: Breakfast was more than satisfactory but I will again note the lack of apple juice as an optionNoteworthy details: If you don't mind a few minor imperfections that do not effect quality this is a great place. Also the bed was a hybrid memory foam/inner spring in all 3 rooms I stayed in and were one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on

I checked in today to stay for two nights. The hotel was old, but I just needed to rest my head somewhere for a business trip. The first red flag was not being able to connect to WiFi. Okay, no big deal. I'll charge my phone and watch TV. No outlets by the bed to charge my phone. Okay. Let me adjust the temperature and get comfortable. It was freezing in the room and turning off the AC didn't really help. I finally got comfortable and decided to call my wife. That's when things went from bad to worse.I got up and noticed a red spot in the bed. Looked closer to see more spots and what looked to be signs of bed bugs. While I didn't spend the night after seeing this (I was in the bed for maybe 15 mins tops) I'm still worried I will bring them home with me. I went immediately to the front desk to check out. While I appreciate the staff refunding me with no questions asked, this should have never happened. If the room is apparently "ready for me" I would expect it to be thoroughly clean. I can only imagine what little the cleaning staff is doing. I appreciate the friendly desk staff, but needless to say, I will never stay here again.

I booked an overnight stay while my house was being worked on. When I got to my suite, it looked clean however, I discovered human hair on the sheets in both beds! They didn't bother to change out the sheets between customers. I complained anf they moved me into another suite. They didn't even offer an apology. However, this one was renovated and beautiful. As I was laying on the bed, I discovered a body piercing in between the sheets! I immediately got up and left the hotel. It was pointless to complain at this point.

This hotel is an EXTREME VALUE despite all the whiners on here. For the budget price you're paying, there is nothing worth complaining about. It's very obscene to expect 4 or 5 star hotel quality when you're paying budget price. I will definitely be staying there again next time in Tucson.
