Terribly managed, checkout line was super long and they had 1 cashier even though I could physically see 7 employees. And why are you checking receipts literally 2 seconds after check out?? Completely pointless.

I feel threatened when I go here and I'm not even a shoplifter! I'm actually scared while I'm shopping and can't wait to leave once I go in. I am a victim of capitalism and love spending money on little trinkets, so Ross is my happy place. Well, was, because I'm not going to shop at Ross anymore 😂. Shoplifting is a problem, but if your solution intimidates legitimate shoppers; your solution isn't a solution. It's not the workers' fault though. Every Ross is like this now. The alarms beep if you so much as THINK about an item, you have to get your receipt checked like this a Costco I'm paying $150 to have the privilege of going into, security everywhere. The deals just aren't worth the stress of shopping here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Intercom also Way too loud!

This stores treats customers like shoplifters. Theres a guy next to the register that after you pay you merchandise in front of him ask to see your receipt and opens your bags like you owe him money. I ask for a manager and the lady called Alisa if I can recall correctly stated that is in their policy check bags and receipts at the exit. I ask for a copy of the policy and she stated that I can find it at the receipt and on the Web.
I just contact the Rita Ross store and they stated that theirs not such policy.
Never going back to that store.

They are asking for receipt and reviewing all customer purchases. When I asked where it is written that I have to show my receipt, no one can answer me. They just told me that they started doing that and that's it. The horrible service didn't even look at my face when I asked him and then he told me that it's on the receipt in the back. I asked her why this one yes and other ross no and she just told me that's how they're going to do things.

Only two people working at 2pm, one lady on register and one checking bags right by door and sees customers paying for merchandise but still has to check receipt and mark it. She Was very rude after several asked questions and said "i need to only stay here and have to check bags". Waited forever and bathrooms were closed. Please get more workers in the store!

Went to Ross with my granddaughter for school shopping. We were having a good time enjoying ourselves. When it was time to try on clothes the dressing rooms in the back had a sign that said closed, use the ones in the front. Stood there for about 20 min while 2 people tried on clothes. She went in to try on hers and in the meantime about 4 more people got in line for their turn. In the middle of trying them on the manager came up and said the ones in the back are now open and walks away. Everyone else went to the back. My granddaughter was still trying hers on. The manager came up and rudely said that these ones are now closed, you need to go use the ones in the back. I asked if she could finish trying on the clothes she had up here and she said no they are now closed and said we need to get out of there. We went to the back finished trying them on, went to pay and the line is halfway through the store. They have one cashier...one girl now working in the back dressing room area, and the manager is nowhere to be found. Finally check out, and there is a security guard who is literally about 5 feet away watching as the cashier rings and then bags purchases. He then wants to check your bags and receipt before you leave. He watched the whole time! I understand being understaffed, but this is crazy. The girl working the dressing rooms and the cashier were both so sweet and helpful. I felt sorry for the security guy, he seemed embarrassed. Manager is rude.

Spent hundreds here over the past few months, but I'm never coming back. They have been treating all of their customers like criminals lately. They have security checking your recipes and checking bags, even though you literally just bought your stuff like 5 feet in front of the security guard. They made an old lady open her personal bag. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's insulting and accusatory and the first step to more invasive practices. I for one won't be coming back until we get some sort of apology or public statement. I hate these big companies thinking they can do whatever they want, don't put up with this type of abusive behavior.

They had a "loss prevention" security person at the exit less than 10 feet from the cash register insisting on checking receipts! You were staring right at us when we purchased the single item! Instead of suspecting every customer of stealing try preventing loss by putting more people at registers. On top of that, I paid for it, it belongs to me now, you have no rights.

Nice store and always friendly employees, but come on, at least try to stop the out of control shoplifting. Makes for a bad atmosphere and I feel like I’m paying for all the stuff walking out the door.

Poor management. Felt rushed out, had the manager standing over the cashier waiting for us to get out even though there was still 20mins before the store closed, as soon as we walked out they turned the lights off and closed even though there was 15-20mins before they closed.
