I'm not from AZ so maybe the standards are higher here but the customer service was top notch. The man that checked us out was so friendly as was the stranger behind us on line. I found everything we needed plus stuff that looked appetizing @wing bar and we were very pleased. If I lived there I'd def go to this supermarket

Go out of their way to order meds if they aren’t available there yet because other stores in the area can’t get them for 3 days but they can usually in 1 day

Today I had the most unpleasant experience. I went in to do a transaction at US Bank but before I left I grabbed some almond milk, a cake and I also needed lemonade powder mix. I walked all over the store and I couldn't find it myself so I walked up behind one of the cashiers and politely grabbed her attention before she started ringing out the couple in front of her. The couple said, "Oh go ahead you're fine." I said, "Excuse me! Where are your mixers? Like the powdered lemonade you mix with water." She looked confused because she wasn't sure where it was either and the customer actually interjected and pointed me in the right direction. The cashier then proceeded to say, "Yeah I think the Kool-Aid is over there too." Luckily for her, I didn't show my ass when she said that ignorant, racist bullsh*t. I simply told her, "I don't even like Kool-Aid but thank you." I could tell the customers caught on to what she was saying and they were uncomfortable by her statement. I was in such disbelief. I put my items back where they belonged and walked out. Maybe 10 minutes go by, I'm still sitting in my car, and something told me to go back in the store and voice my concern. I went back to her line to get her name and asked to speak with her manager. The cashier's name was Jackie and Danielle was the manager on duty. The manager took full accountability for her ignorance and apologized assuring she would pull her off the register and handle the issue immediately. The manger also agreed it was extremely disrespectful saying, "Yes you didn't even say anything about Kool-Aid so I don't know why she would even say that." I appreciate the manager taking the matter seriously but I definitely let her know I will never step foot in that establishment again! If someone is bold enough to say that to your face, imagine what they're saying behind your back amongst their coworkers. Literally the most offensive sh*t anyone has ever said to me and I was going to let it slide but I felt if I didn't speak up she wouldn't have seen the wrong in her actions.

This store is more of a convenience store than a Safeway, their assortment, shelf capacities on certain items and their out of stock conditions are all a bit on the unacceptable side. One of my biggest complaint here is the fact that hand baskets are not provided for the west door entrance and even the ones placed by their office are very limited and most of the time unavailable. On the bright side, I will say most of the clerks and cashiers are friendly and helpful. Guess I just need to go to the Albertsons on Speedway/Silverbell, larger store, increased assortment, same products.

It seems as though all grocery chains have 3 star reviews. Strange. Are people that unhappy with their grocery vendors or is it just that we go or order so frequently we get kinda crazy with our reviews. I love Safeway for a couple of Goldilocks reasons - just right produce section, not too many unnecessary frills (I honestly don't need a Mochi bar or olive bar?) and their stores are just the right size, not too small and specialized and not too large and impossible to get thru. I like the layout, the staff is always nice, and they have an excellent deli for fresh made sandwiches. If they screw up anything (it happens at EVERY grocery store) they are quick to remedy it. My only complaint? They only accept debit/ credit on their pick up orders and my 78yr old mom gets EBT/ SNAP food benefits and I can't do pickup for her because of that. Other than that, they are super clean, not crowded and well located. Plus way way better fresh flowers than their competitors.

I went here on evening to put up a few things.. I am not sure if this guy was the manager but it was 10 minutes til closing and he was literally yelling at the customers. The cashier I had was an older gentleman and he was really nice. They also have great prices. If you plan to visit this location DO NOT go at closing or they will yell at you.

This Safeway is the closest to our home. So we use it often. My last visit 5/5/20 3pm concerned me greatly! It was obvious that the store's concern regarding Covid 19 is falling. Many customers crowded in areas. Particularly at registers and spacing guidelines were ignored as was the use of face masks. Will use Frys on Ina for future shopping until Covid is under control.

Most of the staff is helpful but today the woman at customer service was extremely rude. She obviously did not want to be there. I have shopped here weekly for 5 years. Because of her I will take my business to Albertsons.

I was at this Safeway Sunday in line at the meat counter. The man in front of me had 2 carts and he bought all the chicken. I was in line almost 30 minutes waiting for one package if meat. Only one employee was working to weigh meat. Please allow another employee or two to help package meat. Please set limits for hoarders. I feel so sad for the people behind me in line and the seniors who can't find chicken or turkey because of people hoarding food.

I come to this Safeway All the time and lately it has got bad! Normally no problem but at night when peter is working who i believe is the night manager, he never ever comes up to help with cashier even tho they have been calling him 2 to 3 times. He's clearly ignoring their calls for help and you can see him standing there either pretending he is stocking shelfs or walking around! He's always standing around doing nothing and the line is way backed up. If he's the only other person in the building to cashier he needs to help customers first. He needs to learn more about customer Service. This is the closest Safeway to me but there is one down the road which is looking much better..

Always short I'm staff, I come hear nearly every day to study and even buying the smallest things takes me minutes. It shouldn't, Truly unacceptable. Have at least two running cash registers at all times, no acceptions.

This specific Safeway location has been great for me. The staff is very nice and never hesitate to help me get what I need. They always honor their sales ads which pleases me.
