January 2025 safeway st mary rd. Tucson.
Standing in the checking out line I observed 2 elderly ladies having a difficult time gathering there thoughts and method of payment. The hispanic cashier was not helpful or patient. At the end 1 elderly lady commented to the cashier " I'm sorry you're having a difficult day". The cashier responded no just don't feel like smiling.
I was next for check out. I said to the cashier that I observed her interaction with the elderly lady's and it was so sad. I told the cashier that a smile to an elderly person may all they have and can make there day. The cashier responded by saying , I'm not a robot having to smile all day. I was appalled at her response. There was more to our conversation. :( so sad

Not one cashier available to help, only self-paying options. Very frustrating! Not helping me save either! Nothing is less costly by not having workers being paid so all their savings are going to the top! Will refuse to go to any grocery store that does not have cashiers to help their customers!

I know that you are owned by Albertson - and I have recently banned them from my grocery store list - you are next.
You have one chance to rectify this - I have been shopping with you for over 3 years. Coming from out of state, this store and Albertson's are the only grocery store I go to. FYI I have never stolen anything in my life. It is 2025, I WILL NOT TOLERATE BEEN PROFILED BY YOUR SECURITY GUARDS. with the kind of money I spend at your store, organic foods, I EXPECT TO BE TREATED LIKE ANYONE ELSE. WITH ALREADY BEEN SUBJECTED TO INTENSE SURVEILLANCE VIA CAMERA, SPY CUSTOMERS, ETC, I WILL NOT BE PROFILED AND FOLLOWED BY YOUR SECUIRTY GUARD IN YOUR STORE. I WILL BE TREATED LIKE ANY OTHER WHITE PERSON. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM BLACK AND I LOOK SUSPICIOUS BUT I WILL NOT BE PROFILED ANYMORE. IT IS 2025 I AM SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT. There's no doubt that this store is the product of great, dedicated, long-term employees combined with a superlative corporation to create an amazing shopping experience! This has been my home grocery store since I came to Tucson 10 years ago. I'm personally partial to the butcher's counter where the lobster, crab, shrimp, seafood salads, etc., kabobs, etc., are all the rage! Their seafood & steaks are top shelf & always so fresh! Poppers & brochettes, too! Yummy! This store has such a great selection of beautiful food & still they always find a way to surprise! Keep up the great work! :-)
