Always loved Safeway but the bakery failed once again. I placed an order for a custom cake for a birthday 3 days prior, while out of town on bereavement, it was accepted, then when I went in to pick up today, it was never made & pick up was 10am.
Thank goodness for the sweet young blonde woman holding down the bakery, who did not work that department while bakery staff were out, she got me a discount on a last resort premade cake after my order was never completed, with no issues. Manager was great too and held his bakery staff accountable. I’d give them 5 stars alone for customer service. Sucks.. I’m too scared to place a birthday cake order there again, even with the order proof & accepted order emails/texts from this Safeway. I recommend calling ahead to make sure your orders going to be completed, especially if it’s big. Mine was not thank God.

First time in a Safeway in a long time, overpriced, store was almost empty ( no customers) Will never shop here again. Horrible store!!! Looks like they overcharge on everything there. Selection was remnant of the covid era. They should drug test whoever sets their prices,

I want to try to be as fair as possible with this review because I love Albertsons and Safeway is about as close to Albertsons as I can get in my area but Safeway is not Albertsons even though they're owned by the same company The store is kept very clean moderately well stocked and the employees are polite but my real issue that I have been having with this Safeway for at least a couple months now is pricing or better said it's actually the way that they have been doing their sales now it really wasn't that long ago that I can go in here with 100$-$200 budget shop around clip coupons and walk out way under budget I have personally defended Safeway saying that Safeway is not necessarily more expensive but the things that they do have that are more expensive are egregiously overexpensive like just recently I accidentally went here to buy mayonnaise do not buy condiments from here by the way they are egregiously double even triple the price of other stores and I had apparently forgotten that when I came in normally a decent size jar mayonnaise is around $3 to $5 Safeway charges $8 but I said you know what I'll go in and look would you know it The mayonnaise is on sale for $3.99 so I grabbed that and a couple of other things while I was there when I go to check out mayonnaise rings up is $8.99 and this is a recurring problem I have where something says it's on sale but then I have to argue with the clerk to actually get the sale The clerk had to go back to the aisle and come back and tell me oh that's when you buy two why do I want two 30 oz jars of mayonnaise anyway this is a recurring problem lately is that everything that's on sale is only on sale if you buy an unnecessary amount and if I was rating the store solely on this visit it would be a hard one star but I've spent a lot of money here over the years I've got a lot of good deals here and overall in the past my shopping experience here has been Good much better than shopping at Fry's that said the egregiousness of forcing me to pay double the market price or buy two I think I'm never going to shop here again

T-Bones were cut a little thin for my liking. So I asked for some thicker ones. Conner cut me some beautiful steaks. He was very pleasant as well.

i love this safeway! they are so neat and clean and have an amazing selection of items. the meat selection is always full and customer service is great!
