So me and a buddy did a engine swap on a 91 ford f150 took a inline 6 out & swapped with 7.5l. It once started but than didn't & would not drive when gas was pressed so there was issues I couldn't solve, so I took it to this "custom" shop. I took 2 loans out combined worth of $5,146.61 USD that they had suggested from there shop because they couldnt come up with a price or amount for me to pay (Im not rich I proably had 1,500 bucks in my account). That they recommended due to "not knowing how long "wiring issues" will take or why it isn't starting. One good thing I will say is they call & communicate good & hey they got it to start but was not drivable still. So this was all after I took a loan of $5,146.61 USD. That's alot of money & still they suggested to take another loan out to fix the truck. I'll give a breakdown of where the money went scripted on the invoice I have.$1,887 Labor wiring issues$940.50 Labor start up issue "getting vechile running properly"$487.50 Labor Fuel tank of corrosion$1,500 Misc work diagnosing wiring adjustmentsLast starter solenoid & fuel pump strainer kit "shop supplies" worth $306.87Now looks to me they worked proably about 2 days on my truck & used the loan amount on other projects for other customers vechiles as you know my truck is a 91 ford f150 how bad could it be I wouldn't mind if I paid this much to actually have vechile running smooth & street drivable. So if there suggesting you to take a loan out & they'll tell you to just see how much they'll lend you. Don't do it I wouldn't recommend them maybe there strong points are something else but repairing a old farm truck was too much for them.*funny note my invoice they put 91 Ford F150 5.3l.... it has a 7.5l 460 big block.

This place is the best! I went in to get a new engine for my 2012 Silverado. And from day one talking to Mary on the phone, I could tell they were professional and the real deal. When I went to the shop to talk to the mechanics, David and Ryan, they walked me through all options I could do for my truck. I went with a new engine and once it got to the shop the guys were done installing it within two days of it arriving. The knowledge and professional here is second to none.I also had a grinding sound that I needed them to check out in addition to the new engine and the guy it a bad transfer case, so I ordered a transfer case and dropped it off and they had it installed the next day before noon. Quick and quality work and great communication. They never tried to up sale me on anything, they didn’t try to tell me I needed something when I didn’t. I felt great knowing my truck was in this shop.I got my truck back and I couldn’t be happier, the truck drives better than it ever has before.I’m ecstatic about the work that was done. I’ll be back for more work in the near future. If you’re looking for any mechanic work done to your vehicle I strongly advise you to stop by Sharps.Mary is great at her job and is great with communication. David and Ryan are skilled mechanics that will answer any question you got and they do quality work.

I love the folks at this shop. I took my 1963 Chevy Impala SS convertible for some restoration work. They did everything I asked and then some. The paint job is stunning and they executed my vision for new upholstery to perfection.Everyone there, David, Ryan & the irrepressible Mary, are friendly & approachable. They answered all my (sometimes, d**** questions honestly and promptly. They are true professionals and proud of their craft. I have been very pleased with the work and their interactions with me. I would recommend them without question. In fact, I am going back to get some more work done.

This shop is amazing and the work that they do is extraordinary. I want to thank David and Ryan for an amazing job they did on my 72 Firdbird "my baby"! They did a complete LS Swap complete with paint and body work and it was all done in-house! Now that's one for the books. Sharps staff are so down to earth, honest and so welcoming to their customers. I won't go anywhere else I have found my Automotive shop for life! If anyone is in the fence about taking their vehicle to Sharps Custom Automotive.... don't bebecause their prices are affordable, their work is extraordinary and their turnaround time is amazing. I'm bringing my vehicle in for more Custom work to be done and I can't wait! The vehicles that they have there at the shop are beautiful and breathtaking. The lady in the office is so very nice, down to earth not to mention goes out of her way to help with anything. They even offer financing now that's a plus. Thanks guys for the extraordinary work you did for me!Services: Electrical

My blazer was at at two body shops and it stayed 1 1/2 at one shop and another for 10 months. Brought it here after a friend took his c10 to them. And they do it all from A-Z. ? I went to answer an ad for experienced paint and body guy that specializes in restoration. He's only offering $20/hr. I am getting $25/hrs. currently at another shop. The car I was working on has paint cracking on cowl panel, bubble in paint on door, over spray on red stripes. And he won't offer me more until I show him what I can do. Ha. I am under the impression that he doesn't really know restoring classic cars. He doesn't know how to put together the windows on a Camaro door.. don't know how he does it. Have a great day. His response is Trumpian at best. I was only there 3.5hrs. Your finish product is okay if you're not expecting much. Your customers would do better elsewhere, if they want quality. I still have a job making $25/hr. without any paint responsibilities. I have best paint trophies for local car shows. That black camaro owner should be delighted knowing the paint is cracking and bubbling. Looks like the painter could use some help. Desperately! Here is my final product at my job. You are funny. I'm honored to not be qualified to your position. It would be a major regression. Hi-Speed is way better product than yours, hands down. You are more like a glorious Maaco from my impression. People also look for good employment and I know why you don't have the high level People; comparable to Hi-Speed Restorations. I know. I've been there. Stick to the mechanics. You're not that good at the paint end. I will keep my accolades to myself and move forward. ??

Came Across this business as I was looking for a shop for a new motor and transmission for my 1971 Pontiac Lemans Sport. Owner David ask that I come down and speak with him for a in person quote. After our conversation we agreed on a full drivetrain swap. Went with an “LS swap” 6.0 with 4L80 trans. I can’t speak highly enough about David’s shop and his team. David the owner sent me pictures every step of the way, contacted me for any issues that came up, the office coordinator Marylou is super awesome and sweet, and took my payments as the build was moving forward, sending me receipts over email. David the owner is a straight shooter. He will tell you in person, he’s not the cheapest in town, but with the heart of your vehicle, you don’t ever want to be cheap. He finished my swap, including all new disc brakes, brake booster, master cylinder, brake lines, fuel lines, electric fuel pump, custom 3” exhaust, Posi trac, 410 gears, a/c delete, new springs on rear end, air ride shocks, and more, in less than a months time! I would recommend this shop to anyone, matter of fact my brothers truck is in there shop now! They have earned my future business, and I am a true believer in there custom motor skills! Hats off to David and Sharps for bringing my Muscle car back to life!Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Had transmission rebuilt in May 2021and business sold in July 2021. I just recently found this out but they will not cover the warranty . I corrected the dates and the new business is still using the name of previous. My warranty wasn't out so you can respond the way you want. I have proof vehicle was still under warranty and have reported to BBB and Kgun 9. If the business sold your not entitled to use their Google reviews for your benefit.Service: Transmission repair

In March of 2021, my 2009 Cadillac CTS had problems. I brought it to Sharp Transmission. They worked on it for $5,000 and got it driving but did not get the manual shifting feature working. I also noticed the car was not accelerating like it use to. John who was in charge in the office provided me a 12 month warranty that was to be recognized by other transmission places. We were from Northern California. I brought it to an approved transmission shop per John at Sharp Transmission. Jason, at A1 Transmission in Brentwood, CA discovered the program was incorrect and was able to correct the problem. I was charged $150 plus tax. I filed this with Sharp Transmission and John is telling me that he is not sure if they would honor my claim. John is very poor in communication so if you bring your car there, be prepared to be delayed and in the dark with your repair. Knowing what I know now, I would never bring my car there.
