I brought a 15 year old rig in to be refreshed. I was excited to work with sws on this rebuild project as I have had a lot of work there over the years. I brought my case in, talked to 3 different techs and we decided on a build and agreed it would be done in 1-3 business days. I went to Mexico and came back to pick up my computer and they told me when i walked in that they weren’t able to do my build until I paid full price for it. That’s fine but after two meetings with them talking about my build no one mentioned me having to pay for the whole thing before they started building. Due to the timing of how things went down and after taking about the situation with two others who paid half before their builds started and then half once they picked it up I did feel singled out. I felt like they made me pay full price because I am a black man. When I picked up my computer I talked to the manager and he told me I shouldnt feel that way, but I did. I won’t be spending and more money at SWS or referring people to them.Chris was the name of the manager who clearly did not care his staff made me feel singled out. Chris needs some serious customer service training.

Friends highly recommended SWS. We took one of two laptops in for a general cleanup and ended up replacing the drive with a solid state drive. What an amazing difference that made! So we decided to take the second laptop in for the same update. That didn't go so well but the SWS techs stayed on it and ultimately replaced the (faulty) drive with another one and that laptop now runs perfectly as well! We appreciate SWS's patience and skill and would definitely recommend them to friends.

I recently bought a used laptop for school and the spec sheet said "New Battery". It met all the criteria so I bought it regardless of the battery, but New is always a bonus so it's a win. Except it wasn't a new battery. It died in about an hour mid way thru an installation and it F'd up the program. Creating a HUGE headache for me, thanks guys! Anyway, I went back in to complain and they were sorry and ordered me a new battery. But the guy kept insisting that they test all their batteries and it must've slipped through the test. Wait, what? Why are you testing a new battery?Buyer beware, if it says New Battery, it probably isn't, make them prove it

Amazing been doing business for years so I thought you know what I’ll purchase one of their refurbished laptops for my grandson less than 2 GB of use in a year and I’m told that the laptop is no good it’s not worth fixing it’s gonna cost me more to fix it with a new battery a new hard drive and the system needs to be updated to more efficient system Because the one that’s in it is no good even though it was refurbished by them a year ago not even an offer of any type of a break on price any type of a break on trade-in just have a nice day. Thank you for the $55 diagnostic fee do not do business. Apparently whoever’s running it now. Customer service is not a priority. I’ve probably sent 30 people to them over the years and I will spend the rest of the years telling people not to do business with them now I know why they wanted upfront diagnostic fee on a product that I purchased from them so at least they were guaranteed they could get me for $50, beware
