Service at the lounge was excellent (thank you Dee), and my drink was tasty. If you're hungry, order something other than the burger.Food & drinks: Service at the lounge was excellent (thank you Dee), and my drink was tasty. If you're hungry, order something other than the burger.

If you are looking for a hotel that has a good location, you have come to the right place. If you are looking for a hotel that offers no service and ignores your questions, you have come to the right place. The furnishings are good, the mattresses are mediocre, the walls and ceilings are of poor quality and super thin, you can hear everything. If the owner had invested $5 per sqm more when building the hotel, the quality would be good.

Maybe it was a nice concept when originally opened but bad neglect and lack of maintenance very obvious these days. Worn mattress, missing furniture, no USB chargers, and no water pressure to speak of.

We reserved The Downtown Clifton for our wedding guests this past weekend and we were seriously impressed! Our guests were so happy with how clean and accommodating the hotel was. Many commented on how amazing the rooms were and how awesome the courtyard was to come together and visit. They all loved how 'Tucson' the space felt. The reservation process was easy and the staff was willing to work with me to host 2 separate events at The Red Light Lounge. Both events were absolutely amazing and we were super impressed with the bar staffs ability to keep up with our many guests. The prices for the events, open bar and food were very fair.If you are looking for a uniquely Tucson space to host your guests I would highly recommend working with The Downtown Clifton. They will not disappoint!

It's different. be careful you don't get electrcuted by the ac dripping directly into the switch box and TV . Or slip in the puddle below. Oh and if you come back hungry you'll stay hungry. They closed the restaurant an hour early 2 nights in a row and I got an attitude from the night crew about it. there is nothing close by to eat either.

I so badly wanted to give this place 5 stars. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean, comfortable and adorable. The bar food is great. The only glaring thing that killed this stay for me is the fact that there seems to be nothing but a single sheet of drywall between the upstairs and downstairs. If you're staying upstairs it's lovely but if you're staying on the ground floor you will hear every breath, every step, every roll over in bed, every item set down LOUDLY. Down to the tiny squeaks of their shoes. And if they have a dog? Whoo boy be ready for the sound of claws on hard floor over your head all night. If they put some area rugs in the upstairs rooms or actually insulated I would be thrilled to stay here again. One of my favorite hotels in a long time, but upstairs only.Food & drinks: Delicious

I wanted to give this boutique retro hotel downtown 5 stars. But on reflection, it deserves only 3.First, here's what's great about it: It's an excellent restoration of an old downtown motel. It's clean and the food at night is great. The best thing is the mixologist behind the bar, making excellent cocktails. The bed was comfortable with some truly wonderful pillows. I would actually stay here again, but they have to address some issues:In no order of importance, one, there needs to be hair dryers in the rooms. Nobody travels with a hair dryer anymore. Two, don't close up and lock down the hotel with nobody on staff and not open again until somebody finally rolls in after 7.Third, have COFFEE for your guest in the morning: In the room, downstairs, or something. And there doesn't need to be a full breakfast, but have something, like trail bars.Have some water and cups or glasses and the rooms.I asked the person who opened up around 7:10 that morning about coffee, and she bluntly said coffee would be ready around 7:30 (or whenever she got around to making it, perhaps). The tone was sort of like, who the hell drinks coffee that early?Again, it's kind of disconcerting to wake up in a hotel to find that it's closed. You can't get a copy of your bill to check for accuracy or to file for your records. You take a shower, and there's no hair dryer. You go downstairs and your hotel is closed and there's no coffee.I've traveled the world and throughout this country. to more places than I can remember, but I have never ever encountered this. So, with a little attention to detail and a few more amenities, this could be not a 3 star hotel but a 5 star experience. I believe they took aim at that, but missed the mark.

My fiancé and I had SUCH a lovely stay at this amazing hotel! From the moment we walked in, we knew we picked the right place to rest for the night. The hotel and our room had such inviting and eclectic decor. The attention to detail was immaculate and the staff was top tier!! Don't even get me started on the DELICIOUS food and drinks!! We even got to meet the lovely owner of such an amazing establishment! Moniqua kindly treated all of the guests at the bar to champagne! We definitely will be staying here again the next time we're in Tucson ?Food & drinks: AMAZING!!

I loved this hotel! They have live music and during my stay they had a DJ who was playing throwback emo/rock music and it was truly the most unique stay I had at a hotel.

What a wonderful little hotel. It’s been remodeled with a distinctive retro vibe. We can into town for a concert downtown and the location was perfect. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food and drinks in the lounge were very good. We were very happy with our stay here and will definitely come back next time we are in Tucson.

Stayed here for three nights and had a great time while I was here. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spotless and have a lot of space, the beds and pillows are super comfortable, and the location is great and feels safe. The food and beverages at the Red Light Lounge (located in the hotel) are delicious and affordable and includes multiple vegan options. It's also really nice to just hang out at with a few friends. Definitely order the weekend nachos or vegan crunchwrap (that is not included on the menu), tasty af.The Clifton has great decor and a quirky vintage feel to it. Record players are available to check out with a large variety of vinyl to take to your room. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Tucson or even a staycation, I highly recommend booking a room at the Clifton. Thank you Genesis, Sam, Alexis, Moniqua, and Vinny for a wonderful experience!
