Just a nice little mom and pop Mexican restaurant (a hole in the wall). But all the flavors are there. Third Mexican restaurant we've been to down in Tucson and this was the first one is the best of all three other two to touristy and would not be going back to those two. But this is the one flavor, flavor, and more flavor.

Sonoran All Beef Hot Dogs were delicious. Really enjoyed the salad-type bar with huge sliced cucumbers, radishes, grilled peppers, tasty grilled large onions (bulbs), pickled onion slices, salsas, and especially the green avocado sauce. Disappointed website said soup available, but no soup for me! Bench seats at metal tables uncomfortable. Ambiance is lacking... sadly, it is what it is.

I was waiting in the drive-through for 25 minutes. A bunch of other people got their food before me. They were in the line behind me which made no sense. After about 20 minutes I asked what was taking so long and they told me it was because they didn't have any hot dogs. I waited another five minutes before I finally had to go inside and ask for a refund because I was tired of waiting. I went across the street to another establishment their competitor and got my food within four minutes. I will not be back that's for sure.

Saw their hotdog on Pati's Mexican Table so when we came to Tucson on vacation we made sure to stop. The hotdog was good and the bun was a soft as described on the show.

Was visiting from out of town and we came to try a Sonoran hot dog. We dined in and got the special which was two Sonoran hot dogs and a drink for $11-something. Our food came out fairly quickly, we waited about 5 minutes or so. There was plenty of seating inside (and AC), and a station for toppings (I'm assuming for tacos, burritos, chips, etc).

Literally a Tucson staple. So delicious. The burritos (even the small ones) are huge. They have little salsas and sides you can fill up in too. You'll never be hungry after leaving there.

Definately the best tortas in town! The jamon ones are my favorite.

100% a staple for anyone who likes or has not yet tried a Sonoran dog. If you haven't tried one yet, this is the first place you need to go. The rest of the food is still good, but nothing else compares. The self serve salsa bar is also a favorite, you get a little bit of everything you want without needing to ask staff specifically for each item. The actual place is nothing fancy, basic white building that smells like bleach.

The food is good when they get it right. The success of the business is beginning to result in inattentive staff. We order from here about once or twice a month for the last ~5 years. We order the same things: Sammy or chucho dogs and carne asada burritos. We get everything on the sammy dogs and ask for no beans or cabbage in the burritos. I don't expect them to remember us or our order. But this isn't a difficult off-the-menu order from someone with 25 allergies. And they get it wrong ~60% of the time. Usually, I have no problem attributing it to "oh, they were busy. I'll eat the beans anyway." That's reasonable when the errors are infrequent. It's to the point where my wife and I are surprised when our order is correct. Then, when you raise the issue with a cashier, she pretends she doesn't understand or speak English. The issues were usually small, but when they become a regular occurrence, it's no longer a 'mistake,' but a pattern. But the food is usually good and reasonably priced, but what happened last night is where I draw the line and speak out. I went to the drive thru, ordered, paid, and was told to pull around front, where they'd bring the food to my car. There was no line in the drive thru and there were fewer than ten customers in the restaurant (~9pm, midweek). I waited ~10 minutes out front before walking inside. My bag of food was on the counter for who knows how long. The girl knew what the order was as soon as I walked in and handed me the bag. I wonder how much longer the bag would've sat on the counter before the light bulb turned on in her head and brought me the food. When I got home and sat down to eat, I opened the box and saw a chucho dog (pictured) with the ends cut off. They cut the ends of the frank off so it would fit in the to-go box. I don't know if this was policy or an executive decision made by the problem-solver behind the counter, but this is unacceptable. I want the entire frank for which I waited entirely too long. Buy larger to-go boxes or wrap them differently. That's either laziness, indifference, or both coming from either management, the counter help, or both. It's gonna be BK's or Filiberto's from here on out.

Good people who run this place make me always want to return. I have always loved the double weenie Sonoran dog but it feels like the dogs are smaller and the bun is the same size. Nevertheless it's tasty. They have the best carne asada quesadillas around. I'll be back
