Dear Yelp community, I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Wells Fargo today. I visited the bank to close my mother's account as she had recently passed away. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. When I approached the teller, I informed her that I was on my mother's account and I needed to close it. Despite this, the teller did not look for my mother's account, and instead lied and said that she had already looked it up because it was closing time. This was completely unacceptable, as if the account had been closed without my knowledge, I would have been liable for any unauthorized transactions or expenses. Furthermore, there were no bankers on site to assist me during banking hours, which surprised me as I thought one of their primary roles was to help customers with issues like mine. As a result, I was unable to close the account, and now have to return on Monday, which is both inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, I was highly displeased with the service I received at Wells Fargo, and I would not recommend this branch to anyone. It is important for banks to provide their customers with competent, honest, and helpful service, and unfortunately, the teller and banker did not meet these standards.

I can’t begin to say how thankful my husband & I are for our branch of Wells Fargo @ Broadway & Sarnoff & Maria the bank employee that stopped what she was doing to help me while I was dealing with what could have been a terrible financial problem for us. She worked with us for over an 90 minutes. She, also, connected me to William in the Fraud Dept who also went above & beyond to make sure our problem was taken care of & we felt protected. They both deserve to be acknowledged for wonderful customer service. Thank you both so much.

I was there the day after a few other branches closed and the line was very long. it was busy and a long wait, but when I got to the teller he was courteous, polite and upbeat. It was really impressive to see, great customer service!

I have been a Wells Fargo account holder for well over 10 years. Today I stopped in to simply see if I could have a car title notarized and I was told that I would have to wait five days for an appointment. What exactly is the point of having a bank if they can't even do the minimum amount possible for their own account holders?

This branch is awful. They had one teller working and 20 people standing around. I made a transaction and asked if I could use their fax machine. I was told by the blonde manager lady, they only fax between branches. I was wanting to transfer brokerages to wells fargo because I was working at another branch with an advisor. I knew she was lying. Just wanted to fax transfer paper work to get things rolling. Called the bank customer service and they said they can fax anyone for me. Huge thumbs down and they lost a million dollar brokerage account from me. If your going to give me a hard time over helping me fax something why would I give you a ton of money to invest for me? How lazy can you get!!! Lol.

This branch is only doing drive through services currently. I sat in line my entire lunch break just to get my rent check. Doesn't seem like they're sanitizing the writing utensils or the tubes they use in the drive through therefore I don't see how they're justifying the only drive through services. Extremely inconvenient and they're putting their customers at risk.

One watch-out regarding the much publicized Go Far Rewards associated with the Wells Fargo Visa Card.... The COVID issue has provided me an unfortunate look into this program. They are good about communicating with you when you are spending money or points on travel. However, they are non-communicative when it comes to refunding your money or points when a flight is cancelled. I've spent many hours on the phone with them since my flights were cancelled on 1 September (2020). They refuse to confirm anything by email. They promise to call back with requested information and never do. We will be dropping the card. If we don't get our points and money refunded in the next 30 days, we will be changing banks.

Terrible customer service. I waited at the front of the line for 6 minutes while 8 people stood in the bullpen - 2 of which were helping other customers. The other 6 didn't make eye contact or attempt to acknowledge me - so after 8 minutes of standing there- feeling unvalued- waiting to deposit a Big check - I left.

Not sure why they have 3 stars, I've been banking here for years. Employees come and go but the WellsFargo folks are always up to speed and kind. Don't care for bullet proof glass and old building ... However the people make up for it.

I recently started going to this branch as I'm the treasurer for a non-profit group. This is my first experience EVER with Wells and I have been consistently pleased with how well I'm treated. I do have one issue (I cannot seem to get them to mail me a monthly statement) which I'm hoping will soon get resolved.

This is our main branch location now that we live on the east end of Tucson. It's not spectacular, but it's not terrible. They've met our needs courteously. Sometimes the wait can be a little long to see a "specialist", or whatever they call the non-tellers, to open or close accounts, etc., but it's not terrible. The tellers are always very friendly. I've definitely been to worse banks. *cough* Compass *cough*. Tip: I prefer to park in the lot behind the building. It is bigger and easier to navigate around.

This goes for the entire Wells Fargo corporation. They are so huge they cant even tell me a place/person to complain to that will even get the point across. The nickel and diming fees are out of control. I have and am in the process of closing ALL of any of my accounts with any branch of Wells Fargo. Mutual funds (under the WF Advisors), HSA, Checking, and credit card. And they will have no chance at getting my home loan business. They charged me a $7 service fee on my formerly free checking and since it wasnt my primary checking I only had a token $5 in it, so THEN I get charged a $25 overdraft fee which they took out of my unactivated WF credit card. I also have an over 4 dollar monthly service fee on my HSA which has a whopping interest earning of 29 cents per quarter. We wont even go into the mutual funds/financial service fees. ALL of my investments are never going to pad WF money grubbers pockets ever if I can help it. They already got my tax dollars for the Big Bailout...not getting anything else from me. Credit Unions all the way from now on...
