An interesting add to our itinerary while spending the day in Tucson. Have been trying to get as much use out of my national parks pass as possible. Would have passed this place at first glance because its not as 'flashy' as some other park units, especially the ones in AZ. So glad we did stop! We had an informative guided tour, by Bill E. My husband and I much preferred this site to the San Xavier in the city as it is quieter and less crowded.

Definitely worth a visit if you have the national park annual pass; not sure if it’d be if you’re paying the $10 per person entrance fee. The San Xavier is a much bigger mission up north of this one and free. It was cool for me to see them both because it gave me a better sense of how each is unique and the nuances of their history. The Tumacácori has a history with a mix of collaboration and uprising/clashes between the natives and Spanish - while the San Xavier would be more of a symbiotic relationship and hence a more well maintained structure.

Tumacacori was beautiful and fascinating. I highly recommend visiting. We strolled around the mostly paved path reading their loaner guide and a few signs. We learned a lot in the museum as well.Spent about 2 hours here, but it would be a great place to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the area more. Lots of tables and shade. The actual church has steps throughout and did not look handicap accessible.10 bucks to get in, and it was worth it.

Christmas Eve at Tumacacori is magical. The mission becomes decorated with 2,500 luminaries between 6 and 9pm. Even though there are lines to enter, we had to wait less than 5 minutes. No entrance fee is charged, although a $5 donation is suggested. The walk through the lighted areas takes less than 20 minutes. Near the exit, hot chocolate and homemade Christmas treats are served free of charge. Parking is available in front of the entrance for handicap visitors.

There is a mission church to tour along with grounds and a museum. There are free guided tours during the day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful grounds with walking trails. Very informative interpretation and engaging site. You get free entry with your national park pass. Really worth a visit if you’re in the Tubac area. Go to Wisdoms cafe nearby afterwards

Beautiful grounds full of culture and history! I absolutely loved my visit, and I will definitely come back down to experience the other two missions associated with the park. The Rangers were kind and very informative, their love and passion for the park was contagious.

A cool place with a really nice museum and outside area. Lots of trails and you can walk down to the water through the mesquite trees. Loved the old mission and surrounding areas.

Great place! Tumacacori N. H. S. is a very cool place that is well worth the visit! The mission itself is awesome and the history there is interesting. The Park rangers Rick and Marilyn are great! They gave us a ton of info and we're great hosts. There was a lady and her husband making homemade tortillas with salsa- they tasted great. Well worth the visit! Lots of fun! Thank you!

Excellent family trip, tons of activities and educational opportunities at every turn. Definitely worth the trip to the "Fiestas de Tumacaccori"!

Originally hadn't planned to come here but saw it on the map while we were in the area so made plans to come in the morning when they opened as its summer and hot. Its very beautiful. I'd like to return in cooler mo ths to hike the area. The rangers were amazing and really made visiting here extra special with my son doing g the junior ranger thing. The gift shop a bit pricey but some interesting items for gifts or souvenirs.

This is a wonderful and historical place. It's older than the United States! Father Kino established this adobe marvel and safe place for the indigenous tribes and Europeans alike. For any of you historian buffs, this is definitely a cool place to see.

We were delighted by this small historic park. We appreciated the introductory movie which seemed sensitive to both Native and Spanish settler history and the informative literature for our self-guided your. Learning the history was fascinating. An added bonus was visiting the restored orchard and the lovely grounds with seating and plenty of opportunities for bird watching. Next time I'll take my binoculars!
