Alamo Lake State Park is a premier bass fishing location in Arizona, set in a beautiful, peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle. The lake is crystal clear and surrounded by mountainous terrain speckled with brush, wildflowers and cacti. It offers outdoor fun, rest and relaxation, and is not very busy. The campgrounds are super quiet and clean, with bathrooms cleaned regularly. The park provides amazing wildlife viewing opportunities for nature lovers, with wildlife including waterfowl, foxes, coyotes, mule deer and wild burros or donkeys. It is also a great dark sky area for stargazers, with amazing views of the night sky. Visitors note that cell service is very limited.
Great fishing lake without all the ski boats and party people! Great fishing this weekend even with a summer bass tournament happening. Cabins are large and spacious with electric and AC. Lake is low as they all are. Second time here and still worth the drive from Scottsdale!

Love the campground location and large clean sites. Love the burros. Not crazy about the New Years shotgun and firecracker noise freaking out the dog for two days full days.
