I went to Wilcox for bird watching. I didn't do any wine tasting. However there is 3 tasting rooms on Main St. Easy parking and all located within 100 feet of each other.

Went to the wine festival they had tons of vendors quite a few wineries, with they could always add a few breweries for the husbands that dont drink wine but it was an all around great experience!

This is more of a review for the wineries in Willcox. I spent most of a day tooling around Willcox and the surrounding area ; visiting five wineries. What wonderful wine and people! I highly recommend a day trip for those who love the grape!

The Willcox wine growing region of southeast Arizona grows 74% of Arizona’s wine grapes. This area is also recognized as unique and distinctive in the United States, so much so that it was recently granted AVA status (American Viticultural Area).
People often ask, why is this area so good for growing wine grapes and making wine? Three things: Elevation, climate, and soil. Vineyards in this region are typically at 4200 feet elevation and above.
