Meteor Crater Natural Landmark in Northern Arizona is a fascinating and well-preserved impact site, formed about 50,000 years ago by a collision with a meteorite more than 20 million tons of TNT. Located 35 miles east of Flagstaff, the site offers spectacular views and a variety of educational exhibits. The Visitor Center, situated on the rim, features an 80-seat theater, indoor crater viewing area, crater trail, and an Interactive Discovery Center with artifacts. Visitors can also explore gift shops, enjoy snacks, and experience the space-themed 4D "Collision!" ride. Many visitors highlight the impressive size and history of the crater, noting that pictures do not fully capture its scale. The site is family-friendly, fun, and educational, making it a memorable visit for all ages. Although ticket prices are considered high by some, most agree the experience is worth it, offering a unique chance to learn about Earth's history and impact craters.
This was a great experience and public friendly service. Must visit once and plan on your trip. This is just 50 mins west from flagstaff. Kids will love it and unfortunately due to high wind , we couldn’t take the rim walk and food options are not so great at the place .

It's one of those places that pictures don't do it justice. You have to see it to appreciate it. And believe it.
