Recently purchased a mobile work bench from this home depot. When I received it, it was out of its packaging laying on its back on a sheet of 4x8 waferboard, which was then laying on two pallets. Thinking it was very odd that a new mobile work bench would be delivered this way and after inspection it was obvious they sent me the floor model and stuck me with two useless pallets and a crappy piece of waferboard to get rid of. I called the store, and the CS rep immediately went into full gaslight mode, trying to tell me they all came like this, and I did indeed receive a new item. Of course, none of that was true since I knew for a fact it was the floor model since there was a half eaten Reeses peanut butter cup in the top drawer..just like the floor model. They didn’t even have the sense to clean it up before they tried to scam me. After the CS rep realized they were busted, she stopped feeding me nonsense and said, "Let me speak to the manager." They gave me some cash back which I accepted but I was still stick with a pile of useless wood which was on me to dispose.The CS rep actually said to me there would be no extra charge for the additional building materials required to ship the floor model...too funny. After a week or so, their shenanigans still weren't sitting well, and I decided to reach out to Home Depot corporate and honestly a very unsatisfying exchange. Anyway, unless they are the only source for a specific product, I will never shop this store again. The shamelessness at which they engaged in such shenanigans is truly unbelievable and not the behavior you would expect from a major corporation. Do they really think their customer base is that stupid? I guess so.

Very bad customer service..I ask for help for an electronic water heater . The woman who was in charge of the plumbing department didn't help me find what I need to install the water heater that I bought in the store.. ao I returned it and went too Lowe's and bought it there and they gave me what I needed to install it..thanks Lowe's..I been a long time customer of home depot now I don't know if I will buy there again..

If you buy flooring from them, do a deep dive on who they're contracting to do it. Over $1000 to install LVP in one room, did slight concrete work to fill seams in foundation, came out very uneven with obvious bumps and pockets, didn't lay vapor barrier on concrete foundation that was provided, baseboard should've been removed (by them or myself) but wasn't communicated/done, lined the flooring against the baseboard and tacked unfinished quarter round. If I payed some people off social media, then fine... but this is an alleged professional company with their expert installation, I expect the work to reflect that

Went in to buy a rolling toolbox, the customer service lady was dealing with a customer. I understand that things take awhile but the manager was 10 ft away talking to two other employees by the paint. Instead of just asking the manager to come help her she called her to her personal cell phone! 10ft away and started whispering into the phone. It just was bad form. To top that off the toolbox hardware was horrible. Don't want to complain but it was not a very good experience for me. But oh well just thought I'd let future shoppers know be cautious of the things you buy.

Was searching for silver polish...no luck. Stopped an employee (he was working on a project) and asked for guidance. He immediately stopped what he was doing and led me to the correct spot which was across the store from where he had been. THAT is excellent customer service and why we like Home Depot!
