Not good customer service. Whats the point of having digital coupons that dont work and the cashier doesn't try to assist. When I try to add another coupon the takes away first two and price higher than in beginning.

Came into this store and music is blaring and the cashier is singing loudly and banging her head while checking us out. So unprofessional!

Good all around "basic" in and out, quick pickup for everyday items. Some good deals throughout the week. Very short staffed, sometimes resulting in store being closed during business hours. Staff are friendly but definitely over worked. Self checkout is rarely available. Although two registers, during high volume time's, the wait time for check out can be a bit frustrating. It's not the cashier, just lack of adequate staffing. You can't run an entire store with one or two employees expecting them to checkout customers, stock inventory and receive 18 wheeler deliveries simultaneously. I'm surprised the employee turnover rates aren't higher.All that said, it's a convenient place to pickup an everyday item on The Way home. Keep you sales receipt as there's always a $5 coupon that good for the following Saturdays trip; good on most items.

ABSOLUTE RACISM AND HUMILIATION FROM RACHEL TO ME AND MY MOTHERon 10/28/2022 at around 8:30pm in the dollar general locationmy mother and i went to dollar general she didn't get the $5 off discount she was suppose to get so she told the clerk since she couldn't quite understand my mother. I, a hispanic born in America translated for my mother i was speaking perfectly fluent english the lady who's name was Rachel (as said on her name tag) could understand me perfectly but she did the most unthinkable I could ever imagine. While there was a really long line behind us she humiliated me and my mom yelled so loud and began to say "does anyone here speak Mexican" me and my mother got highly offended she knew exactly what she was doing all eyes were on us knowing i was speaking perfectly fluent english to her. i went off on her asked for manager apparently she was one of the managers, i told her "what you said was highly offensive towards me and my mother the language is called spanish and you know it we aren't mexicans you cannot be assuming we are mexicans all of us come from different countries and mexican isn't the only latin american country." her only response was "i'm sorry i didn't know" she did know what she was doing and knew it was her intention hearing i could speak perfectly fluent english from the start. my mother was crying the whole way home because she is sick and tired of people criticizing her race and english which is nothing knew to her and all the assumptions made about her all these years. Action is needed because this still doesn't sit right with me and my mother to this day and we are still highly infuriated with what happened.

They have a very rude lady that works there ask a simple question she gets mad in starts yelling hell if you don’t like your job or certain people of race he’ll find another place of employment

Dollar General has a little of everything. Maybe not the best quality. For a fast in & out experience they are great. Plus they are almost on every street corner. So much less personal than the old family owned corner store. I guess you can't have everything! Nice experience I can say!
