I will never purchase from Fort Chaffee Outfitters again! My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars here, and today we went to pick up my birthday present for my concealed carry that I’ve had since 2015. They told me it was a straw purchase because he was paying for it! I gave them detail by detail of all the purchases and money I have spent at their store, I explained that I was getting a new concealed carry gun because I’ve been carrying around a 22 revolver for years, and I wanted something different, but no! That wasn’t enough. I even offered to just take it off layaway and let me purchase it with the paperwork in my name, but that wasn’t an option for some reason?!? They are insane. My name and his name is in the system, because we literally just purchased from them, AND the guy who wouldn’t sell me this gun is the same guy who sold me my gun last month! Do not recommend doing business with these people!

This was single handedly the worst experience I have ever encountered as a customer. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, and even started cussing at me at one point. I do not recommend this place as I will never step foot in the door or on the property ever again. I highly recommend never using them, and I also highly recommend staying away from this place. Gun City is down the road and that’s where I went afterward. They are extremely nice and helpful.

Used to shop here a lot but got fed up with the owners attitude towards me. Came in and asked if they had a certain pistol sight and he immediately said “NO”, and a younger employee had over heard me asking and had shown me where they were. I have since started shopping at gun city pawn down the road and they are much friendlier and have a way better selection and prices.

Excellent customer service. They took the time to provide a solution for a broken fiber optic sight on my firearm when they could’ve easily just passed the buck.

Over the years this place has went from great to horrible. The employees are rude, ignore you and the second they see your not buying the gun they just walk off. I Have done alot of business here, but never again.

I have had my experiences at all gun shops in the area and this one has its pros and cons but from my opinion, the cons far outweigh the pros. The store has a very tense feeling when you walk in. It's almost as if you're being evaluated. The staff can vary greatly in friendliness and helpfulness. In my experience, the woman who usually works the front counter is very abrupt and stern. if she is getting stressed she will take it out on you. I get that it's a gun shop but some politeness is expected. I work hard for my money and at the very least I expect at least some politeness when I cough up 500-1000 dollars to a business. Also, the employees especially Danny and the woman at the counter need to work on their phone skills. When I call with a simple question it feels like I'm being interrogated and I feel like if you're nice on the phone they will be extra rude to you. Quick hang ups and blunt tone. They have a monopoly on gun sales in the area and sadly the attitudes of the employees are entirely unfriendly. I don't know about anyone else but I like the old general store type feel of a gun store. An old man at the counter who helps you with anything you need because the respect is mutual. That's far from the environment here.

Went to simply buy some ammo yesterday, four employees as I could see,two were helping customers, cashier was dealing with one and apparently her son,who was all over the place,so she would get distracted . After three people left, I waited for another 20 minutes for someone to ask if I needed help. The customer service has gone down to the point it seems too be an inconvenience. Only reason I went in is no other store had what I was looking for.

Good selection of firearms, pretty bad customer service. I’ve been there several times over the years and every visit has got worse and worse to the point where I went and bought the same firearm for the same price 30 mins out of my way just to avoid having to talk to the rude guys.

Your experience here will always depend on who is helping you. The bigger white haired guy who wears Chiefs gear sometimes has been helping me for 6-7 years and is always great. There is another guy that I guess stumbled here from California (Skinny, grey beard, round glasses, wears a vest a lot) that is really difficult to deal with and has annoyed a lot of customers everytime i go here. Go in knowing what you want and try to find it before asking anyone has been my best success. They have a great selection and fair prices for all that they offer.
