The ladies helped us get in for Emergency with our poodle Goose! THWY took care of us and him! The bill was not outrageous like most other emergency situations. 10/10

These are very caring people. They are great about telling you the options and the cost for all of those options. They have great after hours options for emergencies too. Highly recommend.

Called to get a walk-in last minute before the Thanksgiving holiday when my 13 year old dog had a painful swollen eye suddenly. They worked me in within 30 minutes of calling. Dr. South was informative and friendly, and the staff was all pleasant. The facility itself is nicely done and very modern look and feel. We were sent home with three medications, and all in stayed under $250 which is well worth the quick pre-holiday peace of mind. Definitely keeping Dr. South on my list!

Took my boxer to them for an emergency and they made us wait in lobby for 15 min. Then in a room for 10, they took his vitals and the whole time he was panting so. Hard and couldn't stand up. The tech told us because we were walk ins the people with appointments had priority so Dr would be in after next patient. While waiting in room for the vet my dog started having a seizure. I yelled out in lobby and they stared at me, so yelled in back and finally they picked him up. Within a min a tech brought in a paper basically saying if we don't pay 375.00 then they can't do anything to him. So he was back there scared and they wouldn't do anything till I paid. I paid obviously and the vet came into room smiling and every other word was money, budget , financials. Kept insisting we get rxays and more that would cost 200 more. While talking he had another seizure and they again had to let me know it would get close to the 375 paid. I agreed to labs and they came back normal. Vet came back in smiling again saying she gave seizure medication and sedation bur he wasn't responding much to it. She thought he had a brain tumor and still kept saying we should do scans. I said no and that if he was going to pass I'm taking him home. While getting him ready to leave he had another seizure they came out saying it would cost 30.00 to give him that. I was not happy and paid it. Vet said call them to let them know uow he does and if not they would call me. Guess what he passed before midnight and i got no calls from them caring about my boy. Then spoke to a friend and they had similar experience and she mentioned they told her she could use care credit. I was so upset they didnt offer that to me when we were going on vacation that next week and would have helped. Looked at bill and found out they did not Administer any seizure medication just gave him 2 things of sedation medication. I would NEVER go there again and pray no one else goes through what I did. All they care about is money and not the animals or the owners. My dog was my child and this makes me sick. BEWARE.

It be great to review with no stars. $90 just to see a pet is a bit much. That's not even with treatment or anything, just to see the pet. We should be paying for the the treatment. Not for them to just look at the pet. This vet seems money hungry and not really care for the pets. They really are basically like "you don't got the funds so we ain't helping you" especially in a life or death situation. I thought people became vets to help animals. Not over price stuff. Like a surgery. They tell you it's life threatening and try to schedule 2 months later... I've seen the low reviews and they'll try to cover their butts but really they are just really greedy. They don't care what condition your pet is in. They only care if you got the money on you. Shoot I know equipment is not over 500 either. So much for a "vet". If anything try to find a vet that is focused on saving pets.

We had to have our fur baby put down yesterday. The whole staff was so caring, compassionate, and empathetic to us and so respectful to our Hunter. It was the most comforting experience during such a hard decision. 100% recommend.

I had to take my 15 year old Pomeranian and say good bye. They were so kind. I had never been there before and they sent me the sweetest card. Will move my other animals there.

To say I'm extremely disappointed is an understatement. I took my very first litter of AKC Australian Shepherds (bred for show prospects) in to have their tails docked. I'm new to this and trusted the vet knew what they're talking about- especially since they stated they do tails and dewclaws. I told them the AKC standard for tail length (4 inches) and trusted that what she said and did was correct (she stated 2 vertebrae). Mind you, I felt like this Vet office was more upstanding and knew show dogs since they do OFAs, which is why I chose them. This litter is now 9 weeks old and every one of them will have a tail longer than the AKC standard of FOUR inches. And everyone of them has 3-4 vertebrae instead of 2. I found this out after traveling them to two separate breeders in OK and AR to get this litter evaluated and both told me that not a single one was acceptable. I did learn what to look for, but that doesn't quite help me now. This vet is fine for regular visits, but do NOT use for anything past that. This will require a surgery in the future to correct in order to show any of them. I would rather have not docked tails at all, but to make it to where they have to be put through an operation just to have it corrected in order to be shown? That's pretty awful.Train your new vets better (come to find out- that was a first year vet that did my litter), or make it transparent that you can't do something. I feel like my ignorance was taken advantage of and I have worked with y'all in the hopes that you would be willing to TRY and make it right. You aren't and that's your right (quoted between $300-400/puppy to fix), but I won't be back and I will not be recommending you to any future clients I have, or people I know.Im giving 2 stars because the staff up front is absolutely lovely and I do appreciate their kindness.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GROUP!! My #canecorsojustice was very pregnant and spotting and had been very needy and nervous when she went outside to go potty and got stung or bit by something that caused her to have a severe allergic reaction I was so scared I might lose her but we got her to River valley vet since they were the only vet open besides the e.r. And they were able to treat her and get her through it all. They checked on the puppies in eutero and made sure they were all ok. They were able to do all of this at a way better price then I would have expected for everything they did. Great staff all the way around and really saved my girls life!!

The best place to take your pets! We’ve taken our dogs to River Valley Animal Hospital for 5+ years and have always received exceptional care. We recently had a sick puppy and came by for a walk in appointment. They worked us in on a busy day, and let us take our time asking any questions we had. Dr. Brasuell was amazing, caring, and helped get our pooch back to feeling A+! This is THE place to take your pets!
