“It's very close to my house. I love how convenient it is to get my babies formula or anything I may need on a fast whim. The staff is always nice and offering help to find what I need. The isles aren't near as packed as all the other dollar stores. I only gave 4 stars though because there is a little clutter in the isles that makes it hard for buggies to get by but i hardly use one, so it don't bother me as bad.”

“This is one of the cleanest Dollar General's I have been to. I have been to many since they are located on just about every corner in Arkansas. But this particular location, on Salem Rd., is the most well kept store I've been to. The store is very well kept. The staff is very friendly. It have a very "home" type feel to it. I believe the employees are probably under-paid for everything they do. Corporate needs to go see all the work they put in to that store compared to the others in our area. Give them a raise!!!!”

“Although it was closing time when I went in to purchase toilet paper, the employees were friendly and exchanged pleasantries with me while ringing up my purchase.”

“It's like every other dollar general in most regards, though it does have a slightly above average refrigerated and frozen section. Trying to get a cart in or out of the doors is a pain, though, as they're not automatic doors. I try to keep my shopping at this store limited to what I can easily carry for that reason. The layout is a little strange, but not too difficult to figure out. Checkout is usually quick and friendly.”

“My family and I are in this store daily, it feels like. I have met several different employees and some faces stay the same. They've always been kind and helpful. Yes, there may only be a couple of people working at a time, but for what they get paid hourly I believe they've given great service. Employees tend to be happier, work harder, faster when they are being compensated for their worth and time. I understand everyone is in a hurry, regardless, if you're running behind for something of actual importance or to get back home to finish streaming something on an app. They are working checkouts, cleaning, restocking, assisting other customers so take that in mind when dealing with anyone. You have no idea what they are dealing with, just as none of us due. Patience and kindness isn't that hard to show to someone who is trying to help you. Be kind and maybe say thank you once you've checked out.”

“We shop here a lot, but I was REALLY disappointed today to have to listen to a young, ignorant cashier rant about how "stupid" Juneteenth is because, "Why the. you mad about your own people selling you into slavery?" He was just full of ignorant. racist remarks...right out loud.”

“Amazing deals as always .... got pumas for $30 and Reeboks for $30OK update 11-2023Last night my husband and I were shopping at Burlington in Benton, Arkansas, for winter clothing for our children. One of our children is autistic, which always makes shopping difficult. He was obsessed with the workings and appearance of the snow globe. I told him multiple times, " It's OK to look, but you know if we touch it could be dangerous not only to us but also to store to whom it belongs." As soon as I turned my eye, he knocked it down and broke it in it. Most stores simply write it off and have no problem If an accidental break occurs. I have in my 38 years of life, Never, ever been asked to pay for an item that was accidentally broken, until today. So the lady who was helping us told us, " Don't worry, we do not need to pay for it", she went to the young, night shift manager who was absolutely convinced that we were going to pay the $16 for the snow globe that my autistic child accidentally broke. I felt like something was lacking in his education regarding autistic, specifically older autistic individuals. It was not the fact that I did not want to pay for a snow globe. It was the fact that this is a special needs child and it was accidental. So I went ahead and called today, which is a Tuesday morning, and asked to speak to the general manager. Which he said this was a mistake, and to come by and pick up my cash . I was thankful and grateful . It leaves me wondering how many more stores need to be educated in the working of disabled children, especially those who do not visibly "look disabled". I understand also that this is partially the parental fault. But when you have a child who is developmentally disabled who is an essential adult, It's easy totake your eyes off of him for 1 moment and for him to get back to that spot within seconds to that object that he has found fascinating, so shout out to the manager, Brian, that I dealt with today. He was amazing. He was very kind and he understood the situation. Obviously, he knows more about special needs. The people working less time, this is no slight to them. It's just the fact that maybe there is more training that needs to be involved, with ALL employees, no matter the lightest workload or seasonal workers. Thank you, Brian, thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your understanding, you made my day and not anything that has to do with $16. It has a lot more to do with the fact that the parent of a disabled child is a rough 365-day-a-year job. Not all disabilities look "different" until you see them act strangely. It's people like you who are making a difference for those who can't make those changes for themselves. It's people, like Brian, who are making a difference for our most precious, yet vulnerable community.”
