I travel to XNA Bentonville a few times a year. I always find the National team service very good. The member who checked the car back in was great, big smile and happy to help out.

Great experience. No line when I arrived. Friendly and fast service at the counter. They let me choose from a selection of available vehicles. The Mazda I chose was in great shape and ran well. Would have been nice if the Nav system was activated, but you can’t have everything. Pickup and drop off were a breeze.

HOW? How does a company worth $30 billion operate so poorly? Enterprise Holdings is the largest car rental company in the U.S. They might be the highest evaluation, but they’re the lowest in service.A coworker of mine was literally stranded at XNA airport, after National cancelled a reservation without notice. This left the individual abandoned in a city where they had no contacts, an expensive transportation cost to their final destination, and absolutely no explanation or suggested solution to resolve the chaos National created.With access to so many resources including commercial fleet management, used car sales, carsharing; How is it possible that not a single option was considered, offered, or discussed?How is this acceptable? It’s not! In this economy, companies compete for consumer’s business. Personally, I can’t afford to have last minute, unexplainable cancellations happen on my business trips. There are other options in the car rental market. Based on this experience, I will never book with National. How will you book your next travel experience?

I am completely flabbergasted by my experience at National. I arrived to pick up my car, and was told that they had cancelled my reservation due to lack of inventory the day before I was set to pick it up. They made little attempt to contact me. I was informed that they tried to call (once) the day before but could not leave a voicemail (how about trying email or text?) This left me stranded in a foreign state, and threw off my business travel as the manager, Skyler and his associate, Jacob could not give me any solutions. They just kept repeating that there were no other cars available (as they continued to hand out keys to other customers). How is this customer service? Obviously, this location caters to people from out of town, how is it ok to cancel a reservation late to no notice and offer no solution when their customers are stranded?Specifically because YOUR system has overbooked reservations (or whatever happened, the story changed a few times throughout the conversation) this is not ok. I will not only be never using this company again, I will make sure I tell everyone I can my experience, so others are not put in the stressful position of depending on a company that does not follow through with it’s confirmations.

I’m writing this as my friend packs her bags into my car so I can drive her two hours away to a work meeting. I drove her to the XNA airport today to pick up her rental car, which she reserved 4 days prior. Upon arriving, she was told they canceled her reservation. They made no attempt to convey this information to her. The manager, Skyler robotically repeated, “sorry” dozens of times, but failed to offer her a solution.Unfortunately, I am still not sure WHY her reservation was unexpectedly canceled since the root cause changed multiple times as we stood at the counter and Skyler tried to get their story straight. National, Enterprise, and Alamo are all the same holding company, so it’s safe to say that my family will never use these companies again.I urge others to boycott this terrible business and use Hertz or Avis/Budget.

I have used National Car Rental exclusively since 2017. They have always taken care of all my rental car needs no matter the location. Skyler at the XNA (Northwest Arkansas Airport) was great to work with and made returning my car easy.

Super friendly staff starting while getting the keys until returning. The bottle of water is very appreciated on a hot day after a flight. Everyone had a smile and a positive attitude!

I can say enough about my National experience. I rented from the NW Arkansas airport and every step was great... the people were great... the car was clean and well appointed, did I mention the people were great?Special shout out to Johnny. When I returned the vehicle he was super friendly and professional.Hertz could learn a lot from you guys!!!!!

The two stars are for my last experience, I use National across the country and they are normally really good. Clean cars, great options (love being able to choose my car in the Emerald aisle). However, I recently rented a car from XNA for a day trip and it was filthy. I can handle dirty on the outside, but the inside had crumbs in the cracks and cervices and hair on the seats. I am guessing it is just this small airport location that is missing the mark. Overall I still really like National, just disappointed with this last experience. I mentioned it when I returned the car and they apologized, but I still had to spend the day in a gross car.

I rarely have any issues with my rental cars from National. However, one thing that I would recommend is a disclaimer/warning for those rentals that do not have Apple CarPlay (or the android equivalent) for navigation. Almost all my rentals have had CarPlay, but my last one did not. Fortunately, I knew where I was going well enough that it was not an issue.

Thanks National XNA for taking my reservation and confirming my reservation... but not having cars available. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode? Well it wasn't as funny when I had a $200 Uber bill. Just because a large corporation needs some cars doesn't mean you screw the weekly business traveler that used to use National very often...oh well, also you didn't seem to ask how my service was when you had no cars? I would have lived to give you no stars.
