“Fantastic experience today at Nighthawk Custom!! My family and I are on vacation in nearby Eureka Springs for the week and I took the opportunity to email (last minute) to schedule a tour. Craig @ Nighthawk Custom emailed me back promptly and was very accommodating. I had my twin boys (18) and my other son 13 with me. Craig gave a great tour of the facility, processes and quality controls they have in place to ensure the highest quality build possible. The one gun one gunsmith philosophy stands out in those areas. From machining all the parts for each pistol out of a solid block of steel, to the other details I won’t spoil for you, it’s clear quality is the focus!
We got to see the skilled craftsmen at work and he gave us a quick, clear and concise historical account of the organization. We could really feel the team environment of the place as well as the pride in craftsmanship of the folks there. Craig was fantastic! He even gave a brief nod to the Christian principles that the company seems to be founded on and a personal invitation to reach out to him if we so choose for any additional conversation. I felt it was very fitting and not overbearing in any way. Fantastic way to be a whiteness in a respectful and professional way!

Our favorite stop on the tour was the vault! Tons of beautiful firearms expertly displayed and showcased. We were aloud to handle a few of the pistols and I have to say. Exceptional! Will be ordering my Nighthawk Custom very soon!

“I have the Type “D” fusil and couldn’t be happier. Danny Caywood learned the gunmakers art from his father, Charlie, who was a legend in the Arkansas muzzleloading community. I had an extra barrel made for my rifle so now I have my choice between smoothbore or rifle. The lock time is incredibly fast, much faster than ay of my other flintlocks. I believe it is in part due to the unique “funnel” design in the touchhole that seems to do magic. I’ve been shooting flintlocks for hunting and competition since the late 70’s and for reliability, accuracy and quality these can’t be beat.”
