We had to leave after waking up the first night with bed bugs crawling everywhere in one bedroom. They tried to act like we brought them with us. As if we could infest an entire home with 1000s if Bugs in a matter of hours lol
It smelled so bad we could barely breathe. Mold in the ancient carpet and under sinks, dirty appliances, food on kitchen table.. it was absolutely so horrible you just felt bad for them until they got defensive. We manage homes and apartments for a living and we're willing to help them out by providing some education. They had obviously never seen a bed bug before. Instead of listening to our suggestions that would have resulted in a good review, she got belligerent. Tried to tell her that we understand it's a lot and that this was her asset that was about to cost them lots of money to fix the problems. Which we were sympathetic of. Yet she told us we had lack of grace and went whacko cause of her stress I would imagine. It took pulling teeth to get our money back. Obviously we had to leave after 1 night. Had to throw away affected bedding and stuff and put everything else in bags and deal with bed bugs in the middle of vacation. She wanted to charge us for the night of hell still. Ridiculous. I'm sure she continued to lease it. VRBO probably won't list it now. It's all because of her attitude. I read a reply where they said they listen to their guests. I'm still laughing. You'll get sick if you stay there from mold if you can survive the bed bugs.

Such a pretty place but felt so uncomfortable that only at sleeping time my parent went back to sleep. Was this way within 1 hour of arriving to help my mother unpack they saw so many kids (4) and said i hope it isnt going to be like that all day. When i called to book it for my mother to come visit us i explained my elder mom and her elder sister could not go up and down my stairs at my home nor our camper so i needed somewhere they could stay without going in public to visit our children and us. I expained as im a talker every detail of my mothers stay. Was even given a threat of since my mother came from La one of the most covid 19 case places and they didnt want to get shut down....? Really.?? This was for the week of Aug 10th 2020. I assume my 4 under age 10 children were playing on the playground equipment they had at the home while we unloaded my mothers ice chests and suitcases or whatever for her stay was so unbearable i had the call made to me and the list of complains started. It said a nice secluded place with 30 acres. Sure was a huge disappointment and my mother felt so uncomfortable and did not get a good stay. ?

This place is amazing. We had a great time!!! The cottage was very clean and well stocked. Beautiful inside and out. Mrs. Pat was very informative about the area and sent us to a great spot. Thank you Mr. Steve and Mrs. Pat Hoffman.

Quiet and clean. Plenty of things to do if you have babies and the lake is only a few minutes away. Not my first time in the area but my first time at this lil cottage. Better than expected.
