I purchased a 2013 BMW X3 from Access Auto in Cabot, Arkansas. After about 17 months and approximately 11,000 miles of normal use, the vehicle suffered a complete engine failure. An independent inspection confirmed the failure was caused by the BMW N20 engine timing chain and oil pump drive chain defect — a well-documented manufacturer issue acknowledged through BMW Technical Service Bulletin SI B11 03 17 and the national class action settlement Bang v. BMW of North America. The dealership sold the vehicle “As-Is” but did not disclose this known and widespread defect, which significantly affects safety, performance, and value. I now owe over $9,000 on a loan for a vehicle that is inoperable and not financially repairable. Under ARK law, the dealer should have disclosed this known defect prior to sale. Under the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (Ark. Code § 4-88-107) and the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission Act (Ark. Code § 23-112-308), a dealer may not misrepresent or fail to disclose known defects that materially affect a vehicle’s safety, value, or performance. Even in an “As-Is” sale, a licensed dealer remains responsible for honesty and full disclosure of known issues. Selling a vehicle with a well-documented manufacturer defect, such as the BMW N20 engine timing chain failure, without disclosure constitutes a deceptive and unfair practice under Arkansas law. The issue did not present on a carfax.
Had I been properly informed of the defect, I would not have purchased this car. Be cautious about this seller, I have filed complaints with ARMVC, BBB and the AR AG, against BMW and the dealership for deceptive and unfair practice under Arkansas law. I am a mother of 2 and veteran and now I am stuck with a broken car due to unfair deceptive business practices and hefty loan. Eric claimed to be a BMW enthusiast, this an issue any BMW would apparently be aware of and the specific reason I purchase from licensed dealers and not private sellers.

Awesome experience! Eric was incredibly transparent and friendly. He answered all of my questions even though it took me a bit of time to make my decision to purchase. I upgraded from 2003 Ford Explorer to a 2008 BMW 335i Coupe. He is very knowledgeable about BMWs, and it was great chatting about cars. I've had my BMW for over month now, and it is so amazing to drive. It also looks great! I definitely recommend this dealership and I'll keep it in mind in the future!

My son bought his 1st car through these guys. So sweet, so nice, so trusting, but the car he bought didn't even make it 2 years before the transmission went out. My son had his car serviced as required but even the shop said the dealership shouldn't have sold him that car. The dealers say "there is nothing they can do and they hope we won't hold it against them" Seriously? My son has no car! Never again.

The owner Eric is absolutely amazing! I'm located in Georgia and found a BMW I wanted to buy at his lot. I drove a rental to Arkansas and Eric was kind enough to pick me up from Enterprise once I arrived. I made the purchase and drove my newly purchased vehicle back to Georgia and everything went great. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a clean pre-owned vehicle for a GREAT price! A++
