Absolutely love the store and workers! But DO NOT use their groomers. Went in with my puppy poodle and waited over 3 HOURS to get him back. I called and ended up being told the groomer had left. Knowing that my puppy was stuck in a cage that whole time I walked in and requested him back, After the 3 hours she had my dog, the groomer was still not half way done. She did not follow any the directions I gave her and was hesitant to give me my dog back. Ended up getting charged $80 for a half-done groom. Don’t even recognize my dog. Again I love the store, animals, and workers but, the grooming section of the store is terrible. Definitely recommend using a different company to groom your dog. (Add on: I was told she was open “basically”all day and to “go ahead and come in”.there was only one other SMALL dog in the room getting a groom. I SPECIFICALLY told her not to do certain things and she did them anyways. She said NOTHING about about additional time besides “he should be done later”. Even if I was a walk in. I should have been told if it was going to be more than 3 hours and do not appreciate the lies being told afterwards.

Love Michael in the grooming department! He always takes great care of my little babies and does a great job grooming them. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

What a pleasant experience buying my first exotic birds. Wilda is absolutely the best with so much experience and knowledge. The store has so much charisma with talking Amazon parrot to the large floor turtle. So impressive.

I was in a crisis situation (passing through town to return home) and in need of immediate assistance for my Green Wing Macaw. Wilda came to my aid to trim nails and beak in a one day turn around for my 42 year old Cleo. Her ability to handle and groom Cleo was exceptional! Our trek onward to California was SO much better because of Wilda and the expertise of all the staff at Safari Pets.

Say hi to Tito the huge McCall. This pet store was clean and the staff were absolutely friendly very cordial and professional. I can tell that they work really hard to keep the store clean even though it contains pets it's one of the cleanest pet stores I've ever seen. And even though I didn't buy anything your staff still came every one of them and spoke to me and took the time to try to help me if I needed help. If I were going to buy a macaw I would have bought Tito very healthy lovely bird very friendly staff. I can't wait to go back.

We love using the self bath tub. The shampoo always smell the best. Of course Romeo don't like bath time but he enjoys the treats that follow bathtime. Also best place to get cute name tags. His little football name tag I got in fall is just precious. I also enjoy looking at their fishes while there and the staff SUPER helpful

We bought our beautiful green and gold macaw here. Ms. Wilda raised it from a hatchling. She made sure that it was well taken care of and still checks in with us. We love our Hedwig!

Safari is the best pet store I ever walked in,the workers are very helpful and nice it's not a very busy store. They have all types of pets from birds, hermit crabs, mice, rabbit's, turtle's, snake's, lizards, tarantulas an different types of fish freshwater, and salt water fish. Their supplies are great quality, the prices depends on what your buying some are higher or lower prices. They keep their store clean, you can buy insects too for your pets like cricket's, milworms, etc plus for your snake friends mice too

Website needs a lot of work. I'm disabled so I window shop for the items I want before I go to the store and buy them. Most of my websites I don't have a problem with this one I do.I have a medium variety of critters and for my birthday this yr the big 60 I'm going to get a new one. I wanted to see what it would cost here along with its cage and everything else it needed. I am on a budget. I guess I will have to go somewhere else for my new family member.

Would give negative 5 stars if I could. They spend more time deleting truthful reviews than they do caring for their own animals. They're disgusting towards their employees...the atmosphere turns completely sour the second they realize you're no longer fooled by their facade. The manager not only needs to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror but the owners need to sit down and really think about their motives and if their actions line up with those motives. They also need to decide if destroying those around them mentally and physically is genuinely what they want for themselves as people. The way they treat their own employees is a great reflection of who they are as people and so far it doesn't look great. I doubt they got into this business to tear people apart but unfortunately sometimes things go a different way. Luckily there's still hope. Be better. Do better. <3

We always have a pleasant experience when visiting Safari Pets. We recently added to our fur family and Ms. Wilda was a wealth of knowledge and helped us make sure we had everything we needed. She has also been available by phone for advice. It's so nice knowing you have someone there who can answer your questions and steer you in the right direction. Shop local and check them out!

I highly recommend Safari Pets. I have been searching for an Amazon Grey parrot for quite a while and was lucky enough to finally find my dream bird Dorian Grey. He is everything I have searched for. The staff at Safari Pets were very accommodating. Very knowledgeable and experienced. I am very happy and thankful to finally have my dream bird. A special thank you to Wilda for helping us and answering all our questions. If you are looking to add a new member to your family, check them out.

When this store opened we just like so many other in searcy we're excited! We couldn't wait to get stuff for our cat! We went in several times the staff was kind and asked if we needed help. It's always seemed clean.. I've seen cleaning carts out so I'm sure they are cleaned.. and I'm sure the staff (can't vouch for all of them) care about the animals. There was one young lady who was very friendly let my daughter pet different animals and she told her about them! Since then I haven't met another staff member that gave such an experience! And I didn't catch her name! But she was great! She even turned to help other customers looking at the animals after we left!We went in to get cat food as usual but this time my daughter saw the turtles.. which do p*** every where so watch out (someone was there to clean it as we were there) but it hissed at her.. and the staff said they bite (didn't see any signs about the turtles biting) you'd think since they are free to roam the store there would be a sign warning that they do bite. She was able to pet the turtle but the second time walking past the aisles he/she was on the turkey hissed. This same day 03/02/2023 my daughter went over to the hamsters to look/pet them as she always does! This time she saw one pick it up and cried bc she wanted that one so badly! She was so excited to get a hamster! We bought the cage, bedding, food, etc. She named him Flufffy within 5 mins! Before leaving the cashier said if anything happens within 14 days being him back.I didn't think much of it.. well we got home set up the cage! Let him run in his exercise ball (which broke after a week).. he had water, food, plenty of bedding, an igloo! He was let out to run in his ball while we had it! Or we'd hold him!Exactly 12 days later we got up and around 11/12 my daughter went to his cage picked him up and said he's knocked out asleep.. he was actually dead. Nothing changed.. he ate the night before.. our home is set at 68-70 degrees. We kept him out of direct sunlight. Cleaned his cage as suggested! She held him the night before I saw him standing looking out his cage before we went to bed.. (normally he would bite on his cage.. this time he was not).. Idk if the hamster was sick before after reading the comments but there is no reason he should have passed away after 12 days.My daughter wasn't able to sleep bc this broke her heart that her first pet she picked for herself died.. :/ I haven't spoke to the store yet since he passed on Sunday! But today (Monday) I will be contacting the store to see what they say. I will update! Some of the stuff they sell you can find cheaper at the fish bowl (a local pet store down the road- we found a cat tent double the price at safari pets). Definitely check fish bowl out before coming here!
